Yeah, I don't get that comment at all. This is from the Fangraphs piece yesterday on Jays bullpen.

After Marcus Stroman went down before the season, Sanchez was given a spot in the rotation to start the season. He had a solid ERA, but his high walk totals provided some concern over his ability to perform as a starter at his current stage of development. The 23-year-old Sanchez pitched well out of the bullpen last season with a 1.09 ERA and 2.80 FIP, and a stint on the disabled list provided the Blue Jays with a reason to put him back in the bullpen on his return. Sanchez has made ten appearances out of the bullpen since his return on July 25, and he has allowed just one run with a 1.86 FIP serving as setup man.

Getting rid of Loup would only give them one lefty in Cecil. I think Toronto's pen is pretty underrated, which makes it all the more curious as to why they'd carry 70 relievers.

Loup will never see a high leverage situation so I don't see the point in keeping him around.

Depends on how good his two-starters are, depends on how good the ones you could use are. If you're going to be hopelessly out-K'd/win'ned, I'd just try to go quality over quantity.

I think the fence is about 380 from the plate to that part of the gap, and Posey hit it about 379. I'm used to seeing long flies to the gaps die in Busch (though Busch III is not the serial killer Busch II was), but that one still got me a little anxious.

Hanley would be fine at 3B and Porcello should bounce back with his groundball tendencies.

Fatsoval is terrible, no longer can hit right-handed which defeats the advantage of Fenway. His -25 UZR at 3B is legendary, I'd probably have no worse than a -30 if I played 3B for the Sux. Mark Reynolds just won a gold glove thinking about how bad Fatsoval is.

If Bradley can continue to hit even half this good, there's no way Boston can't find a spot for him in the OF. Castillo (I really miss Chili Davis, btw) also looks like he's making strides, an OF of Betts, JBJ and Castillo seems like it could be OK. A basis for hope, at least.

Putting Ramirez at 3B means finding a spot for Sandoval. Maybe 1B? Even still, Hanley is not exactly Arenado at 3B. Either of those guys at 1B is pretty wasteful.

If they can offload either of them, it'd be a win this off-season. They'd still be short a 1B and 60% of a rotation, but it'd be a start.

Can't tell if you're joking or not but did bring them a WS title and he's been with the team since 1999 (obviously not in the GM role that long). He's had his ups and downs. A bit surprising to see but an upgrade and don't have to fight over him.

They won a WS He had an eventful run. Two (going on three) 90 loss seasons and one year when they were the best team in baseball. I'm surprised their offense has been so unproductive this year but that pitching staff looked flammable in the wintertime.

Dumping all of their garbage on the Dodgers was a master-stroke, and I guess they got lucky in that all of those guys they signed in the 2012-2013 offseason had great 2013's before all promptly dying (VIctorino, Drew, Dempster, Napoli, etc.). But Iglesias for 65 innings of mediocre Jake Peavy was a pretty bad move, as was giving away Lackey. This last off-season kind of speaks for itself.
