I'd definitely try and resign Blake. Even if that ultimately turns out to be a bad contract, the Clips will have suitors for him if he puts together a good month or two where he looks like a star player again. There will likely be at least some window where he is considered an asset.

I'm less sure about JJ. His performance dipped a little bit this year. From his podcast it sounds like he has some roots in LA now, but it would be more interesting to see him somewhere like SA if the Spurs can't land Paul or George Hill.

What are the odds that the Clippers bring back everyone and try one more run? They probably believe that the Griffin injury cost them and they would have upset the Warriors.
It's a tough spot to be in. It's too early to blow it up and rebuild but it's maddening for all involved to trot out the same squad and hope to make it to the WCF.

JJ would be great on the Bucks.

It is a tough spot, but this isn't true. If you have a team that you know can't win it all and your stars/young assets have peaked then it is never too early to blow it up. If the Clippers as a team had their best year next year they are the 3rd to 5th best team in the NBA and would need multiple injuries on the Warriors to beat them in a 7 game series and then need someone else to knock off Cleveland or have an injury to Lebron to beat the Cavs.

I don't think the definition of success (for the Clippers and a vast majority of teams) must be winning it all. That's just unrealistic. The western conference finals is reasonable considering their talent, but this franchise doesn't look to be destined for that result in the foreseeable future due to constant injuries. And with the contracts of their core expiring next year, it might be time for rebuilding while they have the valued assets.

i doff my hat to the toronto pants eatin dinosaurs brohans i thought the bangos might have had them but not this year on the plus side i think the buckerinos are on the upswing and hey no more michael crapper williams what else can a brohan ask for take that to the bank

the clippers can trade blakeronio to milwaukee for john henson and teletubbynovich and heck i would even throw in jabrarri and the reanimated corpse of his knee that would be aok with me brochachos take that to the bank i gotta be honest i do not think the bucks need to do a lot they just need to get rid of some of the deadweight that kidd for some reason insists on playing like teletubbynovich and jason i would good when jason kidd was still playing terry take that to the bank bromigos

Not for most teams, but for this Clipper team it was. With a top 5 point guard, a up and coming star in Blake, and the whole fiasco with the Jordan resigning when it happened it was championship or bust for this team. Every year there are about 4 to 6 teams with a real chance of winning a title, they were one of them for the last few years and didn't win. It is time to move on before those pieces start losing a ton of value. Or they end up like the Pistons after 06 or 07.

just based on what Ballmer said on the BS podcast, I doubt they will break it up.  it seems like he is pretty focused in improving and increasing revenue streams and I'm not sure that would be nearly as feasible if they are going through a re-build.  I suspect they try to keep it together for a few and maximize what they can, then blow it up down the line if necessary once revenues are more locked in.

Spurs just getting demolished.    This is pathetic.

Whatever happened to Green from the Spurs?  He's atrocious on offense.

Almost went with.... "no these ones aren't" Boston dad says to confused son at Celtics game
Almost makes me wish the Bruins were still in so I could change the NHL thread title to compliment your work here.  But the Pens fans are providing too much material for that.

Glad the country got to see what we've been marveling at all season. Seen a lotta ball, but nothing quite like the Celtics' Li'l Big Man.

He did palm the #### out of the ball on the crossover that ultimately fouled out Morris though.
