Wow! Now isn't the time to be modest. Let's see the highlight reel you had made
Lol. I wish I had a highlight reel.  I was in my mid 20s, 20+ years ago. It was a competitive league with plenty of guys that use to play in the local high schools and a few former college players,  the best probably being former Oklahoma Sooner  Tim Heskett.

Debate what role Draymond's suspension did or didn't have on the Cavs winning the title. It played a non-zero role. The end.

Focus on beating the Nuggets.
Cool.

I'm not worried about beating the Nuggets.  Doesn't matter either way.  Stay healthy.  Watching Derrick Williams run the point with the 2nd unit plus Lebron has been great though.  Williams 10 day min contract will cost Gilbert over $200k...yowzers.

13 in a row for the Miami Heat.

Spo is doing one hell of a job. And Rodney McGruder....nice story.
Definitely weird to see a team win 13 in a row and not be in a playoff spot.  Looks like it might be ending tonight in Philly of all places.

What is this I've heard about Magic wanting to take over basketball ops for LAL? Really excited for this. And Buss kids fighting.
Yeah, I've been pretty excited all season about the Lakers direction.  Another top pick likely in a great draft, Luke has been fantastic, and there has been nice growth amongst the young'ins.  Magic reappearing and seizing control is my worst nightmare.  Get him the #### away from anything other than the marketing department.

Wow, talk about a name I thought I'd never see again. Was he as annoying in church league as he was for OU?

If you are the real Tim Heskett tell me who your main rival was in high school was and who was the best player on that team.

LOL

No googling.
That was me impersonating Tim Heskett dropping 50 on your ### in church league. Boomer mother ####### sooner

Yeah. Some fans down here are thinking the team is ruinng it’s lottery position.....I am like **** that. These are professionals and they play to win. The team is really gritty, lost Winslow for the year, did not have Waiters for 6 weeks to start the year, but have really come together. The way they are playing and being it is the East it would not surprise me to see them squeak into the 8th playoff seed (and be swept out of course by the Cavs).

As a life long Heat fan, I am having a great time watching them on this streak. It looked like it was going to be a very long season at the outset and they have really turned things around and some of the young talent is really shining. Also this shows Spo is a real deal coach (if there are any doubters left) and that the Heat culture is a real thing. Guys who were first round picks cast aside (Johnson, Waiters) are having career years here. Something to be said about that. This can help attract some big free agents who want to come down to South Florida and play for a franchise that has always been first class.

I actually got to watch a few games last night and have some questions for all the people that have been following the NBA closely this year.

A. When did Jokic get so good and why are the Nuggets not running the whole offense through him?

B. Are Brandon Knight and Favors injured? or are they just that bad? When did it happen?

C. Now that it is the Westbrook show in OKC, why is it not Westbrook and Adams pick and roll all day and surround them with shooters? They probably can't win a title that way, but they could make some noise like Houston has done in the past.

D. What happened to the Pacers? On paper they look like they should be as good as anyone in the East other than the Cavs.

E.  Is I. Thomas really this good?

Can they afford a max FA?  Assuming Waiters opts out and Bosh comes off the books they will have about 24M in space but will have to use a substantial portion of that to keep Waiters  should they choose to do so.

A. Jokic was playing very well even towards the end of last season.   The biggest issue with the Nuggets is coaching and a failure of Malone to create chemistry through stability.    Malone could not find a way to integrate both Jokic and Nurkic into the staring lineup to start the season. At one point--he even brought Jokic in off of the bench.  At one point in the season--he decided not to use Faried very much.   Even Wilson Chandler has recently complained about having no idea what kind of minutes each player can expect to play on a consistent basis.     Jokic should be the primary cog in a Denver offense.  However--no other role on that team is clearly defined (maybe with the exception of Gallo) by Malone--and this is the problem.  It is also absolutely criminal that Malone cannot find a way to utilize Nurkic in an effective way--even if it's off of the bench.  Nurkic absolutely dominated the world championships this past off season and came into the NBA season in the greatest shape of his life. Dude lost 40lbs and was primed to have a big season for the Nuggets.  He can barely even get off of the bench now--and that to me is a huge failure of Malone

B. Favors seemed to get injured at or around the pre-season.  He has not looked right all season--and my expectations are that he will be very inconsistent throughout the rest of the season.  I think the all star break will help him a bit--but I really think that he needs an off season to get healthy

Knight seems to always be battling small ailments--groin, ankles..etc.   I think that the status of the Suns basically makes it so that Knight really does not have a big role ahead of him.  The team is not competitive and they are more interested in player development than they are using Knight.  Crazy to think that the Suns over recent seasons had Dragic, Bledsoe, and Isaiah.

C. Completely agree on OKC needing some long distance shooters to spread the court for both Westy and Adams.  I do think that long distance shooters are at a premium these days and a lot of the ones that might be available might have major definicies in their game (possibly weak defenders..etc)

D. As a Pacers fan--they have hugely disappointed me this season.   I loved what they did during the off season..and I even thought McMillan could be a good coach there.  However--the new look team did not start off the season very well and lost a lot of games that they should have won based on their talent alone.  They started gelling a few weeks back--but it may be too little too late--as they have the 7th hardest schedule in the league the rest of the season.   While their uptempo style is fun to watch--their defense is pretty weak.  They also tend to play great or really bad--there was some stat a couple weeks ago that the Pacers were up by 17+ points in as many games as they were down by 17+ points.  If Monta Ellis can wake up--and if the pacers can get another big to help with rebounding--that would help them tremendously.   I still think that they could end up being a sleeper team come the Eastern conference playoffs.

E. Yes--he's that good.  Dude has no shortage of confidence or swag---but also plays with a big chip on his shoulder.   Dude has an amazing jump shot, great handles--but can also attack the basket similar to Iverson.

Edit- nurkic traded to Portland for mason plumlee--so that certainly changes things. Malone will have to use plumlee more than he's currently using Nurk

In The duncd on mock trade deadline podcasts, they suggested that the heat would be looking to move dragic at the trade deadline or end of season.

Whoa, mason plumlee and a 2nd traded to Denver for Nurkic and a first rounder?
As much as I like plumless as a player--I love what Portland did here. Plumlee was going to command a huge pay day this off season--and now Portland has a great young big--and 3 first round draft picks.   Great move for them.

Knight's terrible defensively and not one of their best 2 backcourt options. Knight's long term position IMO is offensive option off the bench.

I think he could eventually be dealt but Suns will have to finally come to the realization they arent getting anything close to what they gave for Knight -- which was the Lakers 1st round pick (1-3 protected 2017 or unprotected 2018). And keep in mind they also dealt Isaiah Thomas at same time for what amounted to late 1st round pick. (which was eventually used as part to acquire Marquese Chriss) So was a double hit for them.

Love deal for Portland to get something for guy they weren't paying. Plumlee's a solid NBA player but can't shoot at all. He was totally miscast as primary pick and roll player up top in Portland.....as he's zero threat as a jump shooter.. I'll never understand why coaches do this. Thibs had the same infatuation using Noah similarly in Chicago.

Wasn't Knight defense a big reason they gave up so much to get him? Man a lot has changed in year or so.

Which is why I don't understand this trade at all. I think he is a better player than Nurkic in 2017 but he doesn't make any sense for the Nuggets. He's better than a 15 mpg player but he can't play PF and he's going to get paid like a starting center in a few months. The Nuggets had no use for two first round picks but I would have figured they could get more for a first round pick and Nurkic than a backup center that is either going to be overpaid (for a backup center, not necessarily for his talent/production). There is no upside for the Nuggets.

Okafor was reportedly telling staff/players his goodbyes last night and on the move soon. Wouldn't be surprised if that Plumlee deal was a prelude to Portland acquiring him.

totally agree with this.  when I first saw the deal I thought it was definitely a win for the Blazers so I thought there had to be something I was missing.  Even trading Plumlee for a 1st is a win for the Blazers on its own, since they are going to be financially constrained for the next few years and this gives them a chance at a new cost-controlled asset to add in.  Then Nurkic for a 2nd is just icing on the cake.
