***2016 FBG T-shirt exchange - OFFICIALLY COMPLETE WITH 100% PARTICIPATION** (1 Viewer)

Just  ridiculous...

who's getting flamed outta here  :hot:
It's hard to say. There are only two people who haven't sent anything yet (at least according to the spreadsheet), but there are several who say they haven't received anything yet.

I'm going to wait until the dust settles and give a few more days for delivery of things, and see where we are.

Not at all!

I'm in New Hampshire for the next 2.5 weeks.  I'll post pictures once I get home but my wife tells me I got a huge haul!   Thank you so much!
Ah man you haven't even seen it yet?! Sorry for the needling Ref, safe travels report back when you get home and glad the beers survived!

Got a great box from Lehigh98!  A six pack sampler from the Colony Meadery, and two shirts, one from the Meadery (an homage to the Sex Pistols) and the other from Funk Brewing.  Last, a mug from Bethlehem Music Fest.  Pics to follow.  Thanks, bro!

O

Any update from @doowain and @otello? You guys are the last two left on the sheet as not having sent anything. I get back in town late Sunday. If there's no word by then I'll look for a couple volunteers to fill those two spots.

We had a cook-out and pool party at my BIL's place yesterday.  Wore one of the shirts and brought the 6-pack I received from @rail

The t-shirts all fit and look great and will be in my regular rotation and the beer was gone quickly.  Had a few IPA fans (including myself) and all wanted to try one.

Explaining how I got this particular beer from Denver was a whole nother matter...  "Hey, where did you get this stuff?"  .... Me: "Some guy on the internet.. oh and he sent me this t-shirt too!" :D

I gave an update in the middle of last week.  I had one shirt and was picking another up.  I'm heading down to Cincy tomorrow evening and will pick it up then.

Excellent! It looks like we will have 100% success this year!

Please update the spreadsheet when you send it off.

Jules knocked it OUT OF THE PARK. Wow. Sorry for the delay in posting. My fault, not Jules' as I'd been out of town. Two super cool shirts. One from Dangerous Man Brewing and the other from Bent Brewstillery. Leinenkugel Grapefruit Shandy, Three Way Pale :lmao:  from Third Street, and Saga IPA from Summit. A super cool pint glass from Dangerous Man. Ritzy Rhubarb Jam from Gunflint Trail and Gunner Ghost Dill Pickles from Bent Brewstillery. Ingredients are Cucumbers, Vinegar, Gunner Ghost Gin, Horseradish and Kosher Pickling Spices.  Sounds awesome.

That was way too much goodness there. Thank you very much. A super cool gift box for sure.

Package sent to BBWC.  Spreadsheet updated.  Hopefully it was worth the wait for him.  Thanks again everyone for your patience and understanding.

Just in case @Big Blue Wrecking Crew doesn't check his PMs, I'll post this here:

Dropped your package off at the post office about an hour ago.  They gave it a delivery date of the 10th.  For some reason I thought you said to have it delivered after the 10th until I just saw the 12th in the thread.  Hope that is ok.  Do you have someone that can grab it for you?  Considering the contents of the box, probably not good to let it sit out for a couple days in the sun.  I'm an idiot.

It's official! 100% success in sending packages this year!

We can't call it a total success yet though, until we make sure BBWC actually receives his package. Fingers crossed!

Haven't heard back from @Big Blue Wrecking Crew (he said he was out of town, so didn't expect to), so I put an intercept on the package.  I'm having it held at the post office a few minutes from his house.  Didn't want to risk someone swiping it or things inside being damaged by sitting in the sun.  Will PM him to let him know.

Package successfully intercepted.  They left a notice at BBWC's home to pick up at the post office.  It was expensive to do it but it's better than it not being there when he gets home.

Confirming successful pickup today of a high quality package from doowain.  Will get to pics in the near term, but just wanted to close the circle.

Hope you are feeling better!

Thanks buddy.  Things are definitely looking up.  Went out to dinner with my mom last night.  Doing so much better  :)

There were also some sugar cookies from a local bakery that got poached by my sons, so will have to get back to you on those (have some family in the area, so will ask them to bring some out next time).

Really appreciate the time and care put into the package...great event that will hopefully continue in the future!

Glad you like everything.  Wish I could've gotten out to some of my favorite hangouts but those two breweries represent the craft beer scene in Cincy pretty well.  As I said in the note, their taprooms are awesome.

Something of note, a lot of the breweries (and other places now too) only carry "slim cut" shirts.  I bought the size asked for but I do know that sometimes with slim cut you have to to go up a size, so just wondering if we should add that to our sizes when we submit next year.

Seems to me that darn near every brewery buys the exact same shirts. Every single shirt I've given or received in this exchange has that really distinctive long, narrow hang tag label. I know that's not a huge sample size, but it's something like 10 shirts from 4 states.

On a different note, love Rheingheist's beers. They've just recently started to push distribution up here to Cleveland. Zen is probably one of my favorite session IPA's on the market.

my package to righetti included some of the bag o crap stuff he sent me a couple of years ago.  the kingston mines shirt is my go to shirt for this thing, as is the giardinera.

@sdp1226 and everyone who participated. I could not believe it but my wife took the hand written note that came along with my loot and had hung it up on the fridg. She started reading it out loud over the weekend. She could not believe we have grown men who care about each other in here...and boy have we got her fooled. J/K

I can't post what was written as it was personal but this person took the time to find out a little about me from my threads in the last 6 months.

The Dead Rabbit shirt has been worn a bunch already, Adirondack Mountains also wears well. God's honest truth, I really don't have a lot of clothes that fit anymore and moving down 2-3 sizes in general t-shirts has shortened up my rotation, these have helped a lot.

I also will say my drinking has shot up some. I already thanks my iFriend in previous posts but this happened over the weekend and I felt like bumping the thread for it.

:banned:

I have one beer left @ Clayton gray. All but one of them was pretty damn good. It's been really fun to try 8 different GIANT beers. Thanks again!!

jules, let me know if you need my address again. ;)
