Right name, wrong guy. I just was going with what I heard on Golf Channel.I think the Olympic Dave Johnson won the bronze in the Decathlon in 1992. He is 53 now. This guy didn't look that old.Decathlete, I think. Dave vs. Dan in 1992? Or am I just that old.

But really, either way, that's quite a putt in front of all those people with Justin Rose's $100 bucks laying there. Truth is, if he hadn't hit the cup it would have gone past at 8-10 feet. It was moving.
I don't have the guts ...god lov ya. I think it's right move.Just dropped $500 on the Euro's, can't believe DL3 is rolling with Phil in alternate shot.
think the home team can pick which goes first. When did they go to alternate shot in the morning on Friday? Or am I just remembering incorrectly? That's a tough way to start.
An absolute must IMO. Bought one of these for the RC in Valhalla and it was well worth the $. Keeps you up to date on what's going on in all the matches.Anybody going on the Fri/Sat/Sun is going to want to buy a radio in the Merchandise Shop for $15. It's a cheap closed circuit radio with three stations - Network feed, BBC or Sirius.
Nicklaus would certainly frown on it and tell you the Ryder Cup is meant for being a good host and sportsmanship. Can I start a chant for Sergio?
"Zero Majors! Clap, clap, clap clap clap"
Or is that uncool?
A few people still do. Still don't get it. Do they think they might be asked to hit a shot for somebody?I remember going to some golf tournament several years ago and there was an astounding number of spectators wearing golf shoes. Is that still a thing?
BLOODY. MARY. Keep em coming. The good news is it got colder out here.![]()
No sh-----t. I agree. He's waaaaay too wild for that format. I'm sure he lobbied Love to put him out there and Love gave in out of respect. It 's that kind of deference that speaks to why we lose time and again.Seriously, what is Mickelson doing in alternate shot?
I was more shocked at Zach Johnson in alternate shot knowing your taking his tee shot on 9 holes. T170th in driving distance. Yes, he'll get two par 3's, but that surprised me because of how long Hazeltine is set up.Seriously, what is Mickelson doing in alternate shot?
Sure, but Zach's going to be in the fairway and Jimmy Walker can land a five iron like most people's nine irons.I was more shocked at Zach Johnson in alternate shot knowing your taking his tee shot on 9 holes. And Rose had to insist he take the $100.Kinda weird how he wanted hugs from them.
I don't agree. I think it was a mistake rolling him out in the morning on alternate shot but he should be out there for the afternoon Fourball. Phil is up and down. You put him with a steady partner for those holes when Phil blows up and then reap the reward on his birdies. Will be interesting to see if Love can sit Phil in afternoon. He needs to.
Correct. Keep getting 2.5 and we'll be in good position for the singles on Sunday.2.5 or better in the morning would be a win for USA, no?
Yeah, not bad I guess. The food actually isn't that overpriced - it's the booze that's expensive.
Just dropped $500 on the Euro's, can't believe DL3 is rolling with Phil in alternate shot.
2.5 guaranteed now. Walker/Zach dormieCorrect. Keep getting 2.5 and we'll be in good position for the finals on Sunday.
Bleachers at tee box or at the green? I haven't seen TV coverage so I'm not sure of the layout but the times I've gone I always like to stake out a spot on the green, watch all four matches come thru and then run up to the lead group again at another green. Rinse and repeat.Spot secured in First hole bleachers for afternoon round!
