2017-18 NBA (Playoffs): A gasping, wheezing thread begs message board poster arguing how Jordan never lost a Finals to just let it die in peace (1 Viewer)

it will be fun if at the lottery draft tonight the #10 isn't the Lakers, but if Boston gets the #2 or #3 pick it will be just filthy.

Of course if that happens we will know, for an absolute fact, that the NBA/Silver have made it their purpose to not allow the "tanking" by the Sixers to win :tinfoilhat:

ETA: funny note about the Lakers pick I almost forgot about:

"Los Angeles Lakers: That the Lakers owe this year’s pick to the Sixers is remarkable, given that it was only top-three protected each of the past three years because of the ill-fated Steve Nash trade from six years ago and the Lakers managed to finish with the second pick three years running. Now that it’s unprotected, there’s no such luck this time."
Saw a tweet that summed up what the Lakers gave up in the Nash trade:

30th pick in 2013

57th pick in 2013

36th pick in 2014

10th pick in 2018

Thanks to some lucky ping-pong balls (thanks NBA office!) the finally tally isn't nearly as bad as it could have been.

They got very very lucky, that honestly is not much at all.  It also restricted their ability to trade #1's since you can't have no picks in back to back years (again, probably a good thing).

View from the stands is that Lebron couldn’t play better and Celts are down 7. Just need Rozier to improve and going to be ok

As a Cleveland homer, it feels like this era of basketball is about to come to an end. It feels like the players know they don’t have what it takes. If they can’t pull this game out, which doesn’t seem likely, they are done in my opinion and LBJ is gone.

Don't worry, the King won't let us down.

Pretty certain it's over. A great run for Lebron though. 8 straight Finals appearances and 9 out of 10 Eastern conference finals appearances is pretty good.

I really think it will be a challenge for the Celts to close this one. Lebron going to give everything He’s got
