Glad to see Al Horford getting all the credit he deserves.  He's an absolutely great basketball player.

Ty Lue's decision to play Jeff Green big minutes is a fireable offense.  Makes no sense.

Add Kyrie and Hayward to this and you have some team. I'm impressed. Those injuries may have forced the development of Tatum and Rozier and they are legit, deep, play with high iqs, make big shots and have a decent coach. Nice. Warriors in 4.5.

Lost the coin flip to get Lou Alcindor...talk about a franchise altering moment...
The Bulls lost the coin flip for Magic Johnson and took David Greenwood at #2.

Supposedly, Magic had zero interest in playing in Chicago and would have withdrawn from the draft and returned to school.

As a Bucks fan, I would just caution those talking Celtics having this series in the bag to hold on a minute.  Milwaukee has a Cavs-ish roster lite and they took Boston to seven by holding home court...I could see the Cavs getting this back to Boston for game 5 tied.

That said, the Celtics defense has been unbelievably good in the first two games.

I don’t think playing Green is nearly as odd as continuing to keep JR Smith in there all game as he’s melting down. Seems like every bad CLE loss, JR goes into PTSD mode.

LeBron is gone this summer.  The look of utter disgust on his face at his team is very telling.  How do you lose a game where LeBron goes for 40 and 10?!

Their starting backcourt was outscored by 41!!  That’s how.

Boston Playoff Record

8-0 at home and 1-4 on road

I thought the Cavaliers would pierce the veil of the Celtics' home success tonight. Maybe I'm a few games early.

Anywho, can't feel strong about a team that's won 1 road game during the playoffs. Still think Cleveland wins the series.

Love is a good defender (based on positioning only) and a good shooter.  Doesn't make anything happen anywhere else on the court.  I think I'd rather have any of the 6 Celtics.
12th in the league in rebounds per game. Better than Jurkic, Adams, Valunciunus, MGasol, Randle... and he's been gimpy.

It cracks me up how people talk about the Celtics.  Their top six players in minutes tonight were #3, #3, #3, #6, #14, #14.   They aren't putting a G league team out there even without Kyrie and Gordon.

Have you watched a single Celtics game this postseason?

Really hope the Suns love Ayton. I’m not excited about having another all world offensive center with a questionable motor who doesn’t play hard on defense on the Kings.

Something negative definitely going on behind the scenes on the Cavs.  Hill, JR. Smith, and Hood play a combined 71 minutes tonight and hit a combined 2 field goals in 13 attempts---and while all of this is happening Jordan Clarkson gets a DNP-CD?  Great win for the Celts tonight.  Lebron went beast mode in the first quarter--but the Celts managed to stick to their game and win it.  Their offense is just quicker than the Cavs defense.   They've showed that they have the ability to impose their desired pace at home--it'll be interesting to see if they can get better at doing the same on the road.

Would have been better off with Wade and Rose who had some nice playoff performances.

by your own logic the Celtics should win game 7 of this series

There may be a limit to how many times in a postseason even Lebron can dig deep and do it himself when pushed to the brink. Normally, he has always breezed to the ECF before putting the team on his back and winning a series and getting to the finals. This year, he has needed to be superhuman from game 1, series 1. I think they’re done. Celtics in 4 or 5 imo

I like Mark Jackson. There I said it.
He has a good voice for TV, but I generally either don't agree with his takes, or think he's making overly obviously observations.  My favorite thing about him is I stole his rediculous "hands down man down" a few years ago and drove my traveling team crazy by repeating it ad nauseum.

Van Gundy on the other hand I have a man crush on...

We shall see, this feels more like the Bucks series than the Sixers series to me. Game 3 feels like a lock for Cleveland, I can't see Lebron puking all over himself at the end of the game like Philly did. The keys for the Celtics is to just stay within striking distance for the first half and then wear down the Cavs in the second half with their speed and depth. Lebron was amazing in the first quarter last night but he was gassed late in the game.

Doncic.
Most of the mocks have the Suns picking Ayton but there is that Igor-Luka connection that I don't think can be ignored.  I'm sure we'll know more as we get closer to the draft.

If the Suns pick Doncic and the Kings don't want Ayton, the Kings could get a great haul moving down a bit.

I think the Suns should take Ayton, and trade their 2019 #1 pick next year (not Bucks pick) to the Celtics for Terry Rozier.

I don't think the Celtics can manage to keep him when his contract ends so better to trade him a year early and get something for him.

You think the Suns, a team that will be extremely bad next year, should trade their likely top-5 lotto pick for Terry Rozier?

There are no absolutes, just guidelines. I think what Boston is doing is remarkable. They've got fresh, young legs.

But they haven't really had a "bad home game" as evidenced by their 8-0 home record. Even the best teams can come up short at home, let alone an injury ridden Boston squad.

If Cleveland takes care of business at home (Celtics 1-4 on the road these playoffs) all they need to do is steal one game in Boston to give them a good shot at the series.
