2017-18 NBA (Playoffs): A gasping, wheezing thread begs message board poster arguing how Jordan never lost a Finals to just let it die in peace (1 Viewer)

I’ve seen enough. Celts in 5, imo

As a Cleveland homer, it feels like this era of basketball is about to come to an end. It feels like the players know they don’t have what it takes. If they can’t pull this game out, which doesn’t seem likely, they are done in my opinion and LBJ is gone.

Love watching this CLE meltdown :lmao:

Game, series, era is over in Cleveland

And to think Toronto got swept by this squad.

There may be a limit to how many times in a postseason even Lebron can dig deep and do it himself when pushed to the brink. Normally, he has always breezed to the ECF before putting the team on his back and winning a series and getting to the finals. This year, he has needed to be superhuman from game 1, series 1. I think they’re done. Celtics in 4 or 5 imo

Celtics definitely still winning the series, but now I'm starting to think it might drag out to 4 games.

Interesting stat.  Teams down 0-2 have come back to win 6% of all series in best of 7.

Cleveland Cavs down 0-2 have come back 33% of time down 0-2.  2007 vs Detroit won 4 straight and 2016 vs GS won games 3,5,6,7.

I remember in 2016 when everyone and their brother announced Cleveland as dead vs GS when they were down 0-2 and got blown out by 30+ points in game 2.

Person asked Smith "Are the Cavs done"

Stephen A Smith "Yes they are.  I don't even know why that is a question...their chance to win this series is zero"

Make that 3-4 now for 42.8% while rest of league is 6% when down 0-2.

Can I still get one in?

With Love out, Celtics win game 7 by double figures guaranteed.

Finals MVP

Bron  +300

Durant  +150

Curry  +150

I have no idea how the Cavs are +650 to win the series and Bron is +300 for MVP.  Makes no sense.

Because if this goes 7 games, it means LeBron went nuts and will win the MVP even in a losing effort. If it is a close 6 game loss he still has a slim chance at winning the MVP and obviously if they win he is the no doubt MVP.

I haven't read a real article on The Ringer since probably a month after it launched. It's nice to see that they still use the practice of just ending their pieces without any real wrap up.

Insulting your All Star center on secret Twitter accounts is a bold strategy.  Let's see how it pays off.
Sixers almost have to fire him. One of the most important off-seasons in the last 15 years, and this drops. I don't know a ton about burner accounts, but this article is pretty damning. Sixers honestly should come out with a statement and not let this get worse. God help us that they will be better at this then communicating medical status of the players on their team  :scared:

When is the last time the losing team had the MVP?

He would have to completely obliterate every finals record to get the MVP on the losing team these days.

HFS :lmao: :lmao:

These coincidences have drawn suspicion from other Twitter users. On one occasion, someone jokingly replied to one of the accounts with, “This you, Bryan?”

Enoughunkownsources claimed to know Colangelo. “No - but thanks for the compliment!” they answered. “He is too classy to even engage. Worked with him: he is a class act.”

the most disgusting part is the NBA putting the Colangelo family in with the SIxers to "save the franchise" Silver better get some security for the net few weeks, Philly fans are going to be burning people if this ends up effecting the future of the franchise.

The investigative journalism here is off the richter.  Can we get these guys on Bob Mueller’s team stat?

And Embiid gets all the hearts.

So, someone supposedly working in artificial intelligence tipped off The Ringer.

Here's a Sports Illustrated article from 2016, stating Sam Hinkie is/was interested in investing in......ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE!!!!

I wear normal shirt collars, #######.
That would be totally amazing and bat#### crazy, but is it really implausible? Using AI to to pin down a handful of angry twitter accounts goes beyond your average online sleuthing. Would take someone who has experience in the field, someone with a bone to pick...

what's going on now?

Colangelo is sending out trolling tweets on fake accounts and he got caught by the Sixers staff?

Is that right?
