Celtics are so easy to hate, but man if that Lakers pick landed between 2-5 this year i think they would have been unbearable. Still wouldn't have a top 10-15 player in the league, but the depth on that team would be gross.

You don’t think Kyrie is a top 15 player?

I don't understand why everyone keeps saying LeBron is the best player in the game.  Go back to the 2017 NBA finals when GS won after game 5 you heard many saying the torch had been passed and Durant was now the best player in the game.  Funny how fast people forget how good LeBron is but because GS and the band of all stars beat him he was no longer the best in the game.  Now they remembered I guess.

What is an MVP ?  The best player on a team that wins the most games or the team that would lose the most games when you take the best player off that team ?

I wonder how your posts would look like if you were ever sober

How is home court THIS big of a deal?
welcome to the NBA

I think how the game has evolved and 3 point shot become a bigger part of it, the crowd becomes even more of a swing (crowd always goes nuts for the three...I think it's that anticipation as the ball goes through its arc and then finally release once the shot is made)

he might be. i don't know his injury history, but from what it sounds like he is going to be injured some more throughout his career:  https://cavsnation.com/is-kyrie-irvings-injury-history-a-cause-for-concern/

but you need to take into account so many things it is hard to say. Was going to be a good test for him this year, because honestly playing with Lebron will make everyone look a little better. And i think a top 15 player needs to be good on the offensive and defensive sides of the court, i think Kyrie's defense is not that high in this regard

An mvp is Lebron. It’s stupid anybody else ever wins it.

Uh, this makes no sense for the other two teams left in the postseason

I just don't get how people hate on this guy, he's amazing.

I on;y caught the end, K Love only 5 minutes......hurt or just still stinks?
It has nothing to do with his play, it is all whining about calls, the flopping, the winning of the East every year, the tweets to himself.

It is the same reason people hate Golden State. Everyone liked Golden State in 2015, but now they keep winning and the whine more and flop more and everyone hates them.

Sports fans in general cheer for their team/player first then usually go for the underdog or team that doesn't get there all the time.

:lmao:  maybe do some research before pretending you know what you are talking about.
I could take the time to explain it to you, but I have no confidence you would pick it up

But keep pointing to the GS/HOU series to demonstrate that home-court doesn't matter.  It's a good take

Well, my distraction from watching the game was better than Wednesday (Steve Martin & Martin Short's new Netflix special "A Night You Will Forget For the Rest of Your life" was a delight) but the result wasn't as good. I feel much better not having watched two LeBrohan games and will be stoked for Sunday now.

Please explain it in more detail.  I need a good laugh.

I really don't understand this.  He's delightful.
I can’t imagine being happy about not watching LeBron dominate.  He’s doing incredible things right now that we might not see repeated for 10+ years after he’s done.  Every performance, especially in the playoffs, is a great right now if you enjoy basketball.

Watching a very well coached team chock full of good young players take on one of the best ever and a group of average players has been the most enjoyable NBA moments I’ve experienced this year.

I totally get why people hate Golden State, Green is a complete goon and Paul mocking Curry’s BS the other night was hilarious. King is nowhere near as annoying as they are.

Home teams are a combined 55-20 (.733).
The Celts and Cavs have been pretty Jeckyll and Hyde home vs. away this post season.

Boston is 10-0 with a +11.5 point scoring differential at home, 1-7 with a -11.8 point scoring differential on the road.
Cleveland is 8-1 with an 8.7 point scoring differential at home, 3-5 with a -8 point scoring differential on the road.

Based on the home/road performance this post season for both teams, BOS would be projected to win Game 7 107.3 to 97.5.
(C's averaging 108.7 ppg at home, Cavs allowing 105.8 ppg on the road, Cavs scoring 97.8 ppg on the road, Celts giving up 97.2 ppg)
We'll see if the actual game reflects any of that.

You'd think, right?! But it's been a decade - before his last sulking season in his first go-round in Cle - since watching the Kang do anything has given  me pleasure. He is a much a cultural monster as Trump or Taylor Swift, sucking the life out of prominence. I've seen em all in ball - Cousy, Russ, Wilt, Kareem, Doc, Magic, Bird, Jordan - and all their first priorities (except Wilt, and that's why it was right he lost) was the game. Beating the players, defeating the teams, winning the games. Can't look at Lebrohan without hearing "how will this moment best unfold for the greater good of My Majesty?' and it makes me ill, no matter how good the ball. So, i've been watching half-games for years, checking results early and vulturing outcomes or cheating out as soon as the course of a game becomes clear or hopping back & forth if its close and necessary. I wanted to watch the Green this series but, after four games, i was worn out. I've checked the scores of Gms 5 & 6 @ 10pm and, seeing neither was close, kept more life from being sucked out of me by not watching at all. I'm weird - anyone just figuring that out?

Oh , they are so incredibly unlikable.  I actually dislike Curry and Durant WAY more than Draymond. Green is obviously a super doosh, but at least he's honest about it. You know what you're getting. Curry is just intolerable with the mouthpiece and all the pointing to the sky and the shimmy.  And of course, Durant is just a thin-skinned millennial who somehow can't understand why everyone doesn't bow at his feet just because he got over the hump and won a title by joining a 73 win team (which he would have beaten by himself if not for a massive choke job). Guy makes 26 million a year + endorsements and still feels the need to defend himself with fake twitter accounts.  INCREDIBLE talent but a total snowflake.

This is all in your head dude.

Great point, totally left out Durant. James got ripped for forming a super team with Bosh and Wade.....Durant is 10 times more spineless for going to the Warriors after they won.

With Paul out they are probably screwed but man I hope the Rockets take out these cry babies.

Everyone has their own opinion. I thought Paul mocking Curry was kind of stupid, but I thought the same thing when T.O. mocked Ray Lewis and when others do it too. I find LeBron just as annoying as Durant and a lot of the others. I find Paul to be the most annoying, and Green is as you put it more of a goon then annoying.

so, we might be staring at a pair of game 7s.  who has the better chance of winning game 7 on the road?  cavs or warriors?  you gotta figure one of them finds a way.

He's close.  Borderline though...
I think he's top 15 for me. Let me think. Players I'd rather have: Bron, KD, Steph, AD, Boogie, Russ, Kawhi, Harden, Embiid. Honestly, that's it, like for sure.

Guys I'd consider, but aren't 100% sure, dudes like Simmons, Giannis, Dame, Mitchell, maybe Gobert.

I chalk Curry's behavior up to small man's disease; I don't mind him and he is fun as heck to watch.

Klay Thompson is pretty easy to like.

Green is like the modern day Bill Laimbeer, except Laimbeer never tried to hide who he was, while Green often plays the "who me, what did I do?" routing.

As for Durant, yes, he is a fantastic scorer, but he has as much personality as drying paint does, and while some will give him a pass for it, joining a 73-win team to get a ring was so gutless.  I get wanting to get away from a selfish star like Westbrook, and every player has the right to play where they want, but Durant took the path of least resistance in order to win a title.

Kyrie has been the best player on our Olympic team for long stretches when others were struggling. Top 15? More like top 10. I'm not making a list, but I like seeing Mitchell in the one above. Not sure I agree with it, but cool seeing him getting that kind of praise.

:lmao: you would consider Giannis.
