2017-18 NBA (Playoffs): A gasping, wheezing thread begs message board poster arguing how Jordan never lost a Finals to just let it die in peace (1 Viewer)

Why is everyone saying MVP to KD now?  I guess he has the edge, but Steph out did him the first two games.  KD is up on him about 20 points now but if Steph has a huge game 4, I think they give it to him.

Fair or not, many will never give Durant his due as long as he only wins rings with this Warriors team.

Similar to how many never gave James his full due till he went back to Cleveland and won a title there.
So Curry gets full credit for the rings but KD doesn’t? I get the anti- Durant stuff, that’s been played out, but the other side is does Curry have more than 1 ring without KD? That’s how good Lebron is, IMO.

Seems like a fun hypothetical the fans got gipped out on. Thanks Kevin Durant!

There have always been teams so good that most of the league has zero chance before opening day.
Jalen Rose said on the Simmons pod today that he thinks Durant leaves after he gets his third ring. If Rose is plugged in on this, maybe there’s some light at the end of the tunnel after next year.

I don’t disagree with that, but rarely has it been one team so high above the rest of the league
If they were that high above the rest of the league they aren't down 3-2 against Houston and play Clevland to a draw for 46 minutes in two of three games.  If Kyrie is still there and not hurt we're talking about these two teams rivaling Boston/LA.

Good point. Add Kyrie Irving to the list of players who ruined the NBA.

You serious???

Durant: 31.6 points, 69.6 TS% +56.

Curry 24.3 points, 53.3 TS%, +29

lol Cleveland had Kyrie last year and lost 4-1

I still don't understand why IT works at Boston last year and Clev/James can't make it work.  I'm sure Jordan hated dealing with Rodman but liked what he added to the team.

Nope.  You're the guy saying this Warriors team is unique, the NBA has had so many better teams it's ridiculous.  So I just assume you started watching the NBA three years ago.  As a Timberwolves fan, I don't blame you.
So bad, when can we expect your next apology in this thread?

About the same time we can expect our public schools to stop hiring illiterate morons.

IT2 this year doesn’t equal IT2 last year.

IT2 got hurt in the playoffs last year vs the Cavs and the Celts played better afterwards.

Yeah, that was super weird. I never understood why IT was successful at all.

But if anything, based on what I saw in the playoffs this year... it was likely a product of great coaching (Brad Stevens) and a sick home court advantage.

Lebron wasn't having it.

It always cracks me up when people say "this line was a gift/lock/gimmie" but don't put any money on it. If it's such a lock then you should put money on it.
I have. Last year and this year. Last year I never blinked. This year Houston made me very nervous and hedging a little is costing me, but insurance is never free.

If James never leaves Cleveland, he might never have won a ring.  They would continue to win ~50 games and never have the draft capital that helped them in 2016.

Winning championships is difficult.  When Durant is 50 years old with a fistful of rings, I guarantee he won't give a #### what a bunch of Internet nerds think of him.

Correct me if I'm wrong, is recreational weed legal in California yet? You think the Warriors are lighting up a fatty right now?

*hits bong*

Truly you have a dizzying intellect. I don’t know what we are even arguing about any more.

Lol. Only Internet nerds think his move was baby #### soft... Right.
