2017 IBL (1 Viewer)

3 wins, 1 loss

win 4 if Wright scores less than 27

win 5 if Cohen and likes score less than 53

win 6 if Murray scores less than 55

LOL - Currently QBs 1 and 2 in scoring were all on the wire free for the taking at some point in time.

Looking like 6 wins with just 119 unless Cohen or Thielen go off tonight.  I could really use a big week to get back in this.

Good week but I think we are playing for second. Lots of ww opportunity.
Exactly what I was thinking...sitting at 20-15, good enough for 35th overall.  I believe that would put at the top of the middle tier, so need to get some more wins.  Let's really try to work the WW this week...good players out there and we now have the WW favoring many of us in terms of order (which is not so hot).

Didn't team FBG come from 30+ games out after Week 5 a couple years ago all the way back to first?  ;)

I expected there to be a lot more in-season trading in this league given how active many owners were during the draft. I've floated a few offers trying to land Doug Martin and Corey Davis (both guys I consider potential league-winners) and didn't even get a nibble back in return, and I've only received one offer myself in 5 weeks which was basically a WR4 swap. Really disappointing ... makes being proactive on the wire even more critical.

I played a guy this week that had three players on a bye. I think this league and fantasy football in general are dyingI think this league and fantasy football in general are dying

Plenty of good players on the wire. I should know because they were on my roster and I cut them

Plenty of good players you didn't cut as well.  :)

3 copies each of McKinnon, McGuire, and Mack at RB.  :excited:  First two could be season-savers and all three could be league-winners in the right hands.

Both ATL #2 WRs have copies available. Good luck guessing which will rise to the top but whoever does should put up WR3 numbers at worst - I like Sanu better which means you should all hop on Gabriel.

Mike Williams worth a grab and stash. Lots of mouths to feed in LA, but WRs who get drafted in the top 10 tend to break out early. I'll probably dump Decker for him.

Pryor does not look the part of a #1 in WAS. Might make Josh Doctson worth a look. Ditto Smith-Schuster in PIT, although he's got much more talent ahead of him on the depth chart.

Njoku seems to be growing into his role quicker than expected and might make a decent TE fill-in for anyone who lost Clay.

So on a lark I dumped our rosters to Excel to see which players we're most invested in as of right now:

6:
Smith, Alex KCC QB

5:
Allen, Javorius BAL RB
Sanders, Emmanuel DEN WR

4:
Ryan, Matt ATL QB
Collins, Alex BAL RB
Crosby, Mason GBP PK

3:
Crabtree, Michael OAK WR
Gallman, Wayne NYG RB (R)
Johnson, David ARI RB (I)
Johnson, Duke CLE RB
Kelce, Travis KCC TE (Q)
Matthews, Rishard TEN WR
McCaffrey, Christian CAR RB (R)
McCoy, LeSean BUF RB
Tate, Golden DET WR
Thielen, Adam MIN WR
White, James NEP RB

One squad out of 8 and we've got 3/4s of all the Alex Smiths ...  :D

Some talented names who have underperformed YTD (Ryan, McCaffrey, Sanders) and quite a few dart-throws whose trend is up (Allen, Gallman, White, maybe Collins) so hopefully this bodes well for our second half. And knock on wood those 3 DJ's will come in handy at playoff time ...

so just realized in my haste to pick up I think Eifert last week, I dropped my kicker Lutz who was going to be on a bye....with every intention of then dumping someone before kickoff and picking up a kicker....but I brain farted and did not realize I didn't have a kicker in my starting lineup even though I checked/changed my lineup a few times including Sunday morning....unfortunately the way the site is set up, you don't really get a notification somehow that your lineup is in "error" or "incomplete"....it just skips right over the PK position if you don't have one, so to the naked eye, it looks like you are all good as you look at your "checked boxes"....the worst part is I would have picked up the KC PK (homer) who put up 18 points.....kinda scared to look at how many wins that cost me.... :bag:

Wow...lotta Alex Smith.  Dodds would be proud...lol!

Yikes...with that said, I got my lineup in at 12:56 EDT...would have had like three empty positions.

Dropped by an FS member and picked up by another FS member within minutes.  Hmmm...
think we ventured down this road before in this league.....I guess my thing is if I'm just dropping PK's and TE's and WR3-4's....not a big deal....but if I was getting ready to drop what many thought was a top 10 QB (and still could be moving forward)....I probably would come in here and post to give you guys the heads up.....not saying thats ok, but just the truth.....it would be stupid not to......

dropped MM for Robert Woods.....

cards need to stay in the mix cause they probably won't bring him back otherwise....

I lost Rodgers today.......any advice? Teammates got a backup to send my way?......can we still trade within our team?......I think we can......

NO...we can't, but there's always viable options on the wire. NONE as good as Rogers though.

Another solid week for me at 129.4

Well, this was karmic justice for my week 3 I guess ... I'm sitting 14th in scoring at 134.74 and could still finish the week 4-3.

6/7 of my opponents are in the top third (116+). Six! And two of those still have Colts left to play.

A couple of heavy bye weeks coming up soon, so assuming you can get a Dalton or Brissett type with a good matchup to get you through Week 7, you should be able to pluck at least an average starting option off the wire prior to Week 8. Maybe not quite on the Mariota level of course ...  :oldunsure:

I may consider cutting Cam.  Will wait on the Mariotta decision.

Got 5 this week :)
Congrats.  Limped to 4 here.  Currently in 10th place and counting the days until Woodhead and DJ are back.  Hard to tell the difference between a turd thrown at the wall and my 2nd flex each week.

The team really needs a couple of 60 win weeks but I don't think we have the horses to pull that off.

FA of note

QB - Dalton

RB - Darkwa, Lewis

WR - Ginn, Decker, Kerley, Patterson, Doctson

TE - Sims/Miller, Griffin

K - Succup, Bryant, Bailey, Walsh

Tried of Crosby.  Do I go for Bailey to pair with Prescott or Walsh to pair with Seattle D.

Bailey is ####### money and if they start stalling more with no zeke down the road......could be nice....and that's what Ref would do....

so that means you should go Walsh....

I'm going to try to go that route since I have Prescott.  I need 20 wins in the next 6 weeks or 3.3 per week to make the top flight.  Just need a bunch of average weeks to finish.

We are coming up on the huge bye weeks.  If you have a marginal guy not playing this week who will be on a bye in week 8 or 9, it's time to plan for that.

That is great BnB...I added some needed WR help with Doctson and Wallace.  Thinking Docston may work out...wallace is a flyer.

Considered Doctson.  Passes my eyeball test, but I got cold feet when I looked at his snap count.  I think he could be a big factor with an injury to one of the two starters.

I already have Wallace on my roster and have been starting him.  I think there's some potential here and Flacco got a slow start because of the preseason injury.  I think Flacco has historically been a slow starter.  When Woodhead comes back i think that will open up the field deep for Wallace.  I think we'll know more in a few weeks if Wallace is startle down the stretch.

I'm not sure it matters or if I should care but, I'm completely confused about how the playoff tier wins are scored. There's three versions floating around in the standings thread on the site message board.

Sitting at 114 with Doctson to go...No one was terrible for me, I just did not have anyone go off outside of McCoy.  I am not getting the points needed from Rivers.  I may need to look into a trade.

Sitting a 103 with Ertz left.  I have one L and will have two wins if Ertz gets 1 catch for 5 yards.  The remaining four games are up in the air, but I should get at least one more win because I'm facing 6 or 7 different players tonight (doubtful both Kelley and Thompson, Agolher and Jefferies, Went and Philly K) and the odds are they all won't have a big night.

Things broke relatively well and I ended up with 5 wins.  That takes me to 35.  Need 15 more over the next 5 weeks to make the championship tier.
