2017 IBL (1 Viewer)

Best ball maybe, but I want nothing to do with that mess in NO.

Not a fan of my RB1 being RB2 on his own team.
Ingram is currently RB6 and Kamara is currently RB7. Pretty amazing mess in New Orleans.

McCaffrey will probably be top-10 after tonight as well.

I lost Odell Beckham but hit on some other guys to make up for it:

Thielen is WR3, Tate is WR6, R.Woods is WR13, and R.Anderson is WR16

Yep. He was also the FBG IBL commissioner in the early days and recruited me to the team 5 or 6 years ago. He's been less involved every year it seems.

We're obviously out of it this year but hate mailing it in. I'll manage it from here out.
I reached out to ask him if he was managing his team and he told me he has been setting lineups each week but that's it.

:(

I haven't looked into it much lately but I did take a look at his team earlier this year when I tried to figure out what was going on, and it seemed like he was pretty unlucky early on. Starting injured players and giving away games is a bummer in a team competition though since it's just as easy to ask someone else to take over the team.

Props on a great draft. Outside of 4 picks the rest of my team has been we fodder. Sitting on a bunch of prayers in woodhead Gordon and dj

The other problem part in allowing the other boards not to get stronger with this philosophy is that free agent Jim's slip through to the competition. It's one thing to have bad luck and not win games. But you can still do your part in allowing the other boards not to get stronger

my team is pretty sick.

up to 3rd in overall points. was top scoring team overall this week and still had all these guys on my bench:

T.Coleman 15.8

J.White 10.8

R.Matthews 10.0

E.Sanders 19.7

R.Woods 37.1

D.Walker 12.3

everybody else was on bye.

So was mine...

Antonio Brown 7.4

Ted Ginn 1.3

Tyler Lockett 2.6

Sanu 5.9

Hunter Henry 1.7

Nugent 1

Cam had 37 points on the bench, the other 8 bench players combined for ZERO.ZERO points.

Maclin OR Sanu OR Ginn.  Start two.  Dodds, MT, and Bloom each have them ranked with 4 spots of each other.  I'm now sitting in the last playoff spot so I probably need to think upside to net 5+ wins.  Appreciate any advice.

I'm not good at those type deals. Personally I'd decline both. Don't like giving up Ginn in the one. Don't like the return in the other.

Had two offers for Cam and I don't know what to do.  Lamar Miller and Tevin Coleman.  Pretty much the same as Woodhead and Duke johnson per fbg top 200 forward.  Tempted to grab Coleman to try secure wins this week in place of Ginn/Maclin.  FBG says that will net me 6 points.  Talk me off the ledge.  Dan is my starter.

JUMP!!!!!

Decent week. Might be able to squirm into the next bracket but I need a really good week 12. That said, I should do okay in the current tier I'm slotted for.

Number of teams with # wins:

50+ = 15

49 = 3

48 = 2

47 = 2

46 = 1

45 = 5

44 = 3

By the eyeball test this league looks pretty top-heavy so I thought for sure it would take more than 50 wins to make the top tier, but there's a big "donut hole" in the 46-48 win range, so probably not. Most likely, 1-2 teams with 50 wins won't make it and anything above that will.

Well, it looks like Crabtree will cost me a shot at the champs tier.  I debated putting in Robby Anderson and as a Jets fan, just thought, "no way he keeps this up"...Jets manage to disappoint in so many ways!!

That's a major bummer.  One of the reasons I was looking to exit season long non best ball play.

Haven't run the math yet but it looks like it will take 52-53 wins to make it.  I may need to secure one more win tonight and have to decided between Maclin, Wallace, and Woodhead.  Need the safest option of those three.  Guess I should look at the guys who could bump me out and see if they are starting any of those guys.  Huge PITA with the live scoring the way it's set up.

I've been operating under the assumption of 51. Came into this week sitting on 50 and won exactly two games ... one by 3 points and one by 0.6.  <_<

Definitely rather be lucky than good.

Bad news is unless Andy Reid figures out how to fix the Chiefs' offense and/or Fournette's ankle magically heals itself, I'm more than likely gonna get thrashed in the Champs tier I just squeaked into. Hey, look on the bright side, I can be a FBG case study for Rene's theory of "is it better to be at the top of one tier or at the bottom of the next one"?  :unsure:

Not sure if you're referring to LS in general or the "new and improved" version, but if it's the latter the LS screen has a link (the word "here" in the splash sentence) that takes you back to the old live scoring UI. Personally I like the new one since your 7 matchups are across the top, and by clicking on each box in turn you can see your and your opponent's lineups head-to-head. Granted it sucks on mobile, but it's pretty useful on a laptop-size screen.

The click thru doesn't work on Safari.

24 teams make the championship tier.

21 teams were at 48 wins or more coming into the week.  I'll get back to this.

That leaves 7 teams fighting for 3 spots assuming anyone 48 and over didn't have a horrible week.  Amazingly most of these teams did really well.

Vikings - 46 wins coming into the week.  135.48 + Miller.  Should go 7-0 and be in at 53 wins.  2 spots remain.

Sweet Love - 45 wins.  Sorry gb but Crabtree did screw you.

Madmax - 45 wins.  108 points won't get it done.

Whibb - 45 wins.  138.16 + Woodhead.  7-0 to get to 52 wins.  Holds tiebreaker over me and Mr. Ir. with a 121.1.  1 spot remains.

VincentJ - 45 wins.  138.16 + Woodhead + Watson.  6 wins, Ugga done at 150.18.  Needs 12.1 for Woodhead and Watson to reach 52 wins.  Average PF is 109.8 so won't have any chance in a tiebreaker against Mr. Ir.  I had a 42.9 point cushion on the tiebreak coming into the week.  138.16 - 123.54 = 14.62.  42.9-14.62 = 28.28.  So I get in at 52 wins if Watson scores less than 28.28.

Mitch - 45 wins.  Currently has 128 points but drew a bad schedule this week.  Already has 2 losses.  Eliminated.

BnB - 47 wins.  I have 5 wins.  6th rides on 123.54 + Woodhead (or Maclin) > 76.04 + Miller + Tucker.  6th win gets me in.

Looking at the 48-50 wins teams.

Crawdad - 49 wins.  61.66 plus Hopkins.  Likely won't get to 52 wins, so this adds one spot back.

Gaz29 - 48 wins.  115.32 + Hopkins.  Has 2 wins and 2 losses.  The other three are 126.62, 126.56, and 124.42+Miller.  Should end up at 52 wins at least..    122 PF for any tiebreak.

Odell - 50 wins.  Only scored 109.62 but will be at 53+ wins.

Tsuna - 48 wins.  124.42+Miller.  2 wins, 1 loss.  Remaining opponents are 145.2, 120.8+Hopkins+Tucker, 115.32+Hopkins, 136.02.  Could be 50-54 wins.

3 in the Champs tier, 4 in the Veterans, 1 in the Rookie, 4 in the WB.

@Duckboy was the highest scoring team in the league to miss the top tier. Apart from Duck we actually got "lucky" (if you can call it that) as we had four teams place a tier higher than their point totals justified.

I'm trying to decide whether I was lucky or unlucky - on the one hand I made the top tier while finishing 26th in PPG (league average was 111.0), on the other I had the most points in the league scored against me from Week 4 on.  :rant:

I suspect @Aaron Rudnicki is the only FBG'er with a real chance to take home an individual title, but it's a crazy game and you just never know. Let's all play for some redemption the next 4 weeks - only need to make up the equivalent of 11 RS games for a 3rd-place team finish.

9-26 first 5 weeks, 40-9 last 7.  Couldn't quite make up for the hole I dug at the start.  Hope to pull out a slew of wins next 4 weeks to help get us to the top of the second level.

nice job boys....good luck moving forward....seems/feels like.... IMO.... third would be a great finish for us all things considered.....sorry for not carrying my weight...

I got extremely lucky.  I was 4 and 1 in games decided by 2 points or less.  Consistency was the key.  130, 129, 104, 119, 134, 111, 124, 115, 104, 60, 122, 132.  11 of 12 weeks in a 28 point window.  Sure wish i hadn't of lost Edelman and David Johnson.  Would be in the thick of things with those two.
