Brutal. Sorry for the waste of info, I was thinking 4 years was light.
No problem. I didn't buy it as soon as I read it. Thought maybe it was a fake account or something.

I'd expect him to be willing to leave some money on the table, but big money and three years would be crazy.

Aaron Ward: Unofficially hearing Alzner and Montreal Canadiens have agreed on a 5 year deal at roughly $4.5M per. #TSN

That's not godawful if true, was expecting some wacky GM throwing 6m+ per his way.
So does every washed up d man from our 2006 cup team break news?

2 monster signings by the Sharks from Pierre LeBrun - defenceman Marc-Edouard Vlasic has signed an eight-year, $56 million extension and goaltender Martin Jones is locked for six years and $34.5 million. Both were set to become free agents next summer.

Must be a very tough call for Shatty. If im guessing, he wants to play for Rangers but they are not offering what he wants.

Matt Hunwick to the Pens 2.25 x 3 -- seems reasonable for a 3rd pairing guy. Younger and more mobile than Hainsey but less physical from what I've read.

So far, so good JR. Keep right on sticking with the bargain bin.

In a deal that’s been rumored for a while, the Red Wings have secured the services of blueliner Trevor Daley.

It’s a three-year, $9.5 million pact with an average cap hit of $3.178 million, per TSN. The move comes after Daley, 33, helped Pittsburgh capture back-to-back Stanley Cups, averaging 19:07 TOI this spring while racking up five points over 21 games.

The move remains consistent with Detroit GM Ken Holland’s refusal to enter a rebuilding phase. Daley should help with Holland’s goal of getting the Red Wings back into the playoffs, as he’s a steadying and veteran presence on the back end.

That said, Daley has dealt with injury problems in each of the past two
OK Holland wtf.... why are they making moves like this...tear it down and rebuild...don't sign 33 yeard old dmen

This is a Chiarelli move...it's not huge money but you are tying up money that can be used better elsewhere...a few of these type of contracts on a team that isn't close can real hurt them...

Stars make a nice budget signing of Tyler Pitlick for 3 years at $1mill per. He has always looked good at Oilers TC and starts the season off great, only to see his career wrecked so far by injuries (broken leg, etc.)

Maybe salary a little more than what I thought in previous tweet. Ryan Miller, two years, $4 million. #NHLDucks
