I said superstarS.Joining a 16-win Knicks squad and bringing along a friend would be way, way different than hopping aboard a historically good 73-win team that had been to two straight finals.
Yep. To add Durant and Cousins to that 73 win team isn't fair to the rest of the league. Feel bad for guys like Harden who have had to do it on their own for so long while other teams coast by monopolizing talent.
Harden played with Durant and WestbrookDamn, I was hoping Houston would be locked in to their seed prior to their last game against OKC on Tuesday.Sounds like the Nuggets are going to rest Murray, Jokic, and Millsap tonight. They are only 1.5 games up on Houston and Houston owns the tie breaker. Seems like a bad idea to me for a team that has the best home record in the NBA and basically a .500 road record.
Yeah and he made it to the finals and lost to LeBron/Wade/Bosh. Weren’t you saying earlier he’s never accomplished anything? You can’t have it both ways.![]()

What? Winning a single finals game in his entire career is not accomplishing anything.Yeah and he made it to the finals and lost to LeBron/Wade/Bosh. Weren’t you saying earlier he’s never accomplished anything? You can’t have it both ways.
Ok. Very few basketball players have ever “accomplished anything” if winning the West in this era is nothing. What? Winning a single finals game in his entire career is not accomplishing anything.
Nobody is talking about how great other players are.Ok. Very few basketball players have ever “accomplished anything” if winning the West in this era is nothing.
That’s what you think Harden is doing? Padding stats?Nobody is talking about how great other players are.
Perhaps the Spurs and Warriors (pre Durant) were better teams because they all enjoyed playing the game unselfishly, not watch a single guy dribble around for 22 seconds padding stats and personal accolades.
Clifford would be my COTY if they make the playoffs. I don't know how else they won 40+ games with that roster.Magic are going to make the ####### playoffs.
The blazers can't catch the Nuggets but if the Blazers were to tie the Rockets, the blazers own the tie breaker.I really don’t get that re: Denver. Are they trying to get into a three-way tie with the Blazers and Rockets? Would they win that tiebreaker?
Houston finishes 1-1, Portland 3-0, Denver 0-3 and all three teams would be 53-29.The blazers can't catch the Nuggets but if the Blazers were to tie the Rockets, the blazers own the tie breaker.
The bottom of the east playoff race is really abysmal to watch. Hornets still barely alive.Nets are officially IN!![]()

Yeah, they are definitely not the same thing. Westbrook and Harden aren't winnersAlso comparing the early days Thunder teams to the fully formed 73 win Warriors who were only able to add an all-timer due to a once in a lifetime salary cap jump is pretty rich. Definitely the same thing there.
Edit: this sentence is awful but my editor has the weekends off
well they f'd this up. hard 1st series then losing in 5 to the Raps, all while getting to hear how "wonderful and amazing" Boston is cause they likely sweep Ind and probably beat MilI want to face Indiana so badly and I will not be careful what I wish for.
#tankfor4th
Meh. Not worried. They'll win first round regardless of who it is. If they're going to do anything in the playoffs, they're going to have to beat Toronto and Milwaukee to do it. So it doesn't matter when they meet.well they f'd this up. hard 1st series then losing in 5 to the Raps, all while getting to hear how "wonderful and amazing" Boston is cause they likely sweep Ind and probably beat Mil
would much rather toronto-Boston and us take Mil. if they beat Mil and went to the finals season was a success. losing in 5 to Toronto in the 2nd round not so much. i'd be fine seeing toronto in the finals after they battled BostonMeh. philly matches up well against them. give me Embiid not coming off sitting for a long time and he can contain him.I don't think Philly can beat a healthy Milwaukee in a 7 game series.
I don't think Boston will beat them either. They are the best team outside of Golden State.
What did I miss? Also I'm pretty sure I hated Butler from the beginning and hated that trade. Don't look that up or anything. I'm right.
Frosty is definitely not bitter about having Dario and the Cov instead of Butler. What did I miss?
The odds wouldn't be in our favour vs Milwaukee, we just mean it would be a far better matchup for us than against Toronto. Have about a 20% chance to beat Toronto and a 35% chance to beat Milwaukee.I don't think Philly can beat a healthy Milwaukee in a 7 game series.

Hadn't seen em in a while. Looked really good against the Celts, who assumed their way to another loss. There's got to be a way to expose Vuc on D, but the Green didn't find it and he's gold otherwise; Gordon's finally playing smaller and it works; Isaac's almost got the training wheels off; Augustine's acting like a starter and "Wreck" Ross can singlehandedly win em a quarter when he's hotGOB said:Magic are going to make the ####### playoffs.
I saw the Deer play twice without Brogdon (before the embarrassingly defenseless dance the NBA has been the last coupla wks) and didn't see anything that said favorite about them. They're still my root, but I fear for the Deer til they get their full starting complement.Jayrod said:I don't think Philly can beat a healthy Milwaukee in a 7 game series.

They need to lock up Caruso and Pope.
To max contracts.
I've watched them a handful of times this season, with and without Brogdon. He is a strong spoke in the wheel, but the hub that makes everything roll is Giannis. If the Greek Freak is playing at a high level, it is almost irrelevant who else is around him. They still have a lot of shooters on the perimeter and a second banana in Middleton that can carry the load for short periods. And their defense is stellar.I saw the Deer play twice without Brogdon (before the embarrassingly defenseless dance the NBA has been the last coupla wks) and didn't see anything that said favorite about them. See below.I would vote Harden. Not trolling you and I think it's basically 51/49, but what Harden did to carry that team was too extraordinary for me to ignore.
Agreed. How many times have we seen this during the season?Only award Harden should win is a Razzy for some of his horrible flop acting.
I do. James going to the Lakers wasn't strictly basketball related, neither will Durant to the Knicks.None of you really think KD is going to NY right?
The Warriors are one of the historically best fan bases out there. Watched a ton of them as a consistently entertaining west coast team for the past 3 decades. They didn't always win but their fans were always there and made their games more entertaining. Same currently goes for the TrailBlazers and Kings (and was true for the Sonics as well).I just hope Golden State's dynasty comes to an end. Nothing against them, they deserve it, but enough already. Also some of their fans are garbage.
Hope you are right. Anything to help ensure the Spurs stay out of that 8th place slot.Moe. said:Put all of your money on Houston -2 tonight. All of it.

A theory is that he wanted to fire Walton but Jeanie Buss refused, and he then gave her the ultimatum of choosing between him and Walton. She wanted both to stay, and held firm with keeping Walton.LeBron runs Magic out of LA?!
