I really don't get the continual focus on Ben Simmons and his FTs. I mean, has it become a common practice in the real world for most to make fun of someone who has a mental roadblock. I believe Ben has been working with a psychologist for close to 2 years now to work on his mental roadblocks and has conceeded that it is a process to overcome the anxiety provoking hurdles.
So we have a guy who has admitted in the past to having a mental hurdle he is trying to overcome, and all we have now is tons of fans, national media, and even some of the local media constantly crapping on him for having this mental obstacle he has been trying to overcome. Ben has done a great job of knowing this is an issue, and has stepped up his defense and other things more in his control at this time to help him overcome the FT deficiency.
Really hoping this is all just Ben-centric and fades sooner rather than later. I get it if the guy didn't work hard or put the time in to get better, but he definitely does all the time. Sam Cassel's main role is to work specifically with Ben Simmons, do people really think Sam Cassell is just letting Ben doing whatever he wants and not trying to help him?
If we can stop bashing players for having mental obstacles to overcome, that are possibly even an Axis 1 diagnosis, the world may be able to be a better place
ETA: all of the above excludes any player on the Celtics and their fanbase

, though admittedly, it may be close to an end for me with Danny leaving and the love affair of Stevens as a Hall of Fame coach should quiet down.
