Wow, thought the Celtics were going to find a way to blow that.  Great comeback by the Heat.

Glad we're getting a BOS v. GS final.

Celtics D was just too much. Plus the Heat shot atrociously this series.

Tough shot by Butler. Thought he should've taken it to he hole, but I can understand why he shot the 3. Big fan of his game.

Warriors in 6, IMO.

a champion's 48 out there, Mr Buckets.

soooo happy for Ol' Man Al!

hardest ive sweat a team in any sport this last month. i'm too old for this, but bring on the Dubs!!

I about flipped my dad's coffee table over when Strus hit that damn 3 late.

That game about gave me a heart attack. As great as Smart played, he can't take and miss those 3 3-pt shots with a minute to go. At least he knocked down the FTs to finish it.

I need a drink or 10 after that one.

I'm still worried about the Celtics, but where as before I had the Celtics as favorites over my Warriors, now I think Warriors are just slightly better than a coin flip.

To make it simple.

Warriors defense has a better chance of shutting down the Celtics offense than the Celtics defense has of shutting down the Warriors offense.

Boston’s defense shuts down everyone. Just how it is. Because their defense has been so good, their offense hasn’t had to be spectacular.

Boston has already won 7 road games this postseason. They have actually been better on the road in the post season.

Good thing their offense doesn't need to be spectacular because aside from Tatum, they would be relying on who? Smart? Brown? Horford?

They have been playing teams that are either down a key player or have multiple dorks on the floor and often both.  It's easy to lock down teams when you can don't have to worry about closing out on a couple guys.

Tatum, Brown, Smart, Horford, GWilliams, and White have had games with 20+ in the playoffs. RWilliams, Pritchard, and Theis have had games with 15+ in the postseason playing limited minutes. That’s team basketball. They’ve rotated their #3 and #4 scorers each night. The Jays have averaged 50 ppg and their next two scorers (not always the same players each night) have averaged 34. Who cares who scores the points? Someone steps up each night.

Tough finals to call. GS has only faced cupcakes this playoffs. Boston had had to beat 3 solid teams.

GS is a lot healthier and rested but at full strength (which Boston isn’t) they are a much better overall team.

Boston in 6.

Sure they scored 20 points here and there, but who else aside from Tatum do you trust to create their own shot? Also, Tatum is no where near the playmaker that Jokic, Luka, and even Ja are.

Say both teams do well on defense and limit the penetration. Then I'll take the Warriors in a 3 point contest over the Celtics.

I'm gonna guess Dubs in 7. I don't have a rooting interest. Oddly, being an LA guy nauseated by the Waaaaaariorrrs chant and pretty much anything Boston since the 80s, these are literally the last two teams I want to see win another championship. But I'm too old and docile to be a hater. They both deserve this.

During the Bos/Mil series it looked obvious those teams were playing with more force and at a higher level than any other teams, so I figured the winner would take it all. There's no soft spots in either defense.

The Dubs play great D but not without soft spots - Curry and Poole. I won't be shocked if Boston blows out GS a couple times. If Dallas and Memphis could crush them on a given night, certainly Boston can. But this is 2022 and three point shooting is key. Curry, Klay, Poole, Wiggins is too much considering all the open looks Miami just got. Sure Boston will extend more understanding how deadly GS can be from three, but lately that has just played into their hands.

In the strangest finals matchup in memory for me, I will naturally cheer for the underdogs. Go Boston. Just don't tell my fellow Laker fans I wrote that.
