Big 12 looking at 4 schools to expand.

BYU, University of Central Florida, Cincinnati and Houston are the four institutions that are have been in serious discussion to join the conference, per The Athletic. The athletic directors and presidents of the remaining eight schools in the Big 12 met with commissioner Bob Bowlsby on Tuesday and Wednesday to discuss the future of the conference.

Some saw this coming a mile away.

:coffee:   :bowtie:

Yeah no way a Clay Helton coached team goes 12-0.

Oregon and UW play each other but both miss USC this year.  And USC does play Notre Dame, so there's a miss in there as well.

What I do know is that it's down to 1 day, 16 hours, and 31 minutes until I'll be tailgating in a college stadium parking lot again.

Man, I'm so pumped for this!

HOW PUMPED, GM?

I'm so amped up for this, I took my 6 year old to the mall to buy an Oregon Ducks t-shirt and cap.

What?  That's pretty dumb, GM.

I haven't stepped foot in a stupid indoor mall in over 10 years.  I'd rather chew discarded gum from a bus stop seat that walk around that human cholesterol, strolling 4 or 5 in a row at a pace that would get obliterated by Rascal scooter.

My 6 year old might be more excited than me, but it's close.  We're leaving the house at 6:30am, hope to arrive at Trev's around 9:30, grab some breakfast, pay for parking and then we'll stroll over to you, man.  I'll text you when we're leaving Trev's.  I'll be in a green O visor and my son will be in his green shirt/hat.  We'll be the ones skipping with glee.

Duck store in Washington Square, I assume?

Well that should narrow it down..... ; )

See you in the morning!

UNC -6.5 @ VaTech

Wisc -5.5 v Penn State

Alabama -19.5 v Miami (Atlanta)

Clemson -3 v UGA

LSU -2.5 @ UCLA

ND -7 @ FSU

UNC -6.5 @ VaTech
This line is now 5.5.  :oldunsure:

I'll just say this.  I had the, um.....honor?  Privilege?.....to watch VTech QB Braxton Burmeister in person while he was subbing in for Justin Herbert.  This was under Willie Taggart who was a big fan of Braxton's.  Until he also had to watch him play.  He should have taken him to FSU when he bolted.

God this seems like forever ago and yet, here we are.  I'm on the Tar Heels tonight, but the line moving the other way is odd.  Especially considering the QB for the Hokies.  He was atrocious.  Maybe he's better?

Just put in a Burmeister for Heisman bet.

Howell is not good. Not sure why he’s supposed to be a top pick next year. Has Darnold written all over him.

Probably means my Texans are stupid enough to think he’s the answer.

When I saw the opening energy from that crowd at Lane Stadium losing their collective minds rocking to "Enter Sandman", I knew it was gonna be a tough night for UNC.

Coming off a year of playing in front of mostly scattered crowds and trying to work in a lot of new pieces on offense, that was a tough spot in front of that crowd.

We'll see how they respond, but I think they'll bounce back pretty well from it.

@mitchsherman

Nebraska and Fordham are even at 7-7 early in the second quarter after a 31-yard TD throw and catch by the Rams. More striking than the score, these teams look fairly even after three drives apiece.

Yikes.

On Scott Frost day nonetheless

That 2.5 point line for LSU is nuts. UCLA cannot hang with LSU for 4 quarters, they simply don’t match up on the LOS. I hope I’m wrong but I see this as a close game for about a half and then the Tigers cruise. I can’t bet against my Bruins but YOU should. Easy money IMO.

Hate that targeting call on Penn State. Huge change in the game. If the QB stays in bounds to try and deliver a blow then all bets are off. Dude never left his feet or launched. I wish they’d take into account the way the offensive player moves/braces for contact, instead of easily going out of bounds.
