2021 College football thread - Auburn’s gotta Auburn. (5 Viewers)

SEC shorts going to be interesting this week.  Bummer they lost the hot girl.  She could have been a part of the whole Urban Meyer bit.

Speaking of which, there’s a story/rumor of a THIRD view of the situation and that Mrs. Urban Liar was harassing Ms. Nebraska’s family.
That’s a 5 gallon bucket of YIKES if true.

It sounds like Woodward at LSU is all in on Fisher, who he hired at TAMU.  Tough move on the surface but who knows.  Kiffin gaining some support.

Jimbo to LSU would be amazing for so many reason. That guy should be giving Jameis 45% of his check in perpetuity.

So Jimbo has a Titanic buy out from TAMU but if LSU comes calling they owe TAMU nothing for Jimbo.  Don't recall ever seeing this.

I don't see it.  While I really don't think Jimbo is a good coach at all, it would almost be worth it to see the aTm melt down.

Nick Rolovich has been terminated by Washington State, per a university source.

Terminated for cause, along with the other unvaccinated WSU assistants.

man oh man that guy really wanted to die on that mountain.

yikes

@PeteThamel: Sources: The American Athletic Conference is expected examine expansion this week, with six schools expected to send applications. The AAC is expected to receive an application from – FAU, Charlotte, North Texas, UTSA, Rice and UAB this week. 1/2

Woof

No top 25 matchups this Saturday.       Please tell me there's a game I should watch and why.  I need an excuse to not get things done around the house.

# 23 Pitt vs. Clemson might be good. I want to see if QB Kenny Pickett can do it against a top defense he is 0-2 against.

I have to go to C-bus tomorrow for an in-law situation.  If there was a weekend to not have a top 25 matchup, this is the one for me.

I like this one too...DJ and Roethlisberger move the ball about the same...but Pitt can't seem to get over the hump with a win in a big spot once they get ranked.

why would anybody who isn’t a Bama fan care about this game
Fans over 30 still hate UT more than Auburn...deeply...always will.  From Fulmer 'snitching' to Manning leading the band at Legion...it's flat out hate.  The last 14 years have been pure joy...no matter what the margin of victory.

ETA:  misread but no one will outside Bama fans, and that's just over 30...i just had to link the now legendary video.

ND/SC should be a good game because its a rivalry and always is close no matter if one is good or both are good/bad. Drake London will be interesting to watch how ND's defense handles. If he is shut down, SC has little chance in this one.

Oh....and you still can't spell "suck" without USC. Just sayin. #GoIrish

If you want to laugh, check out the finish of the Colorado State / Utah State game.  Steve Addazio of CSU is not qualified to be a Head Coach in most high school football programs.  Amazing amount of blunders by the guy in one game, but the ending takes the cake.  Then he tries to lay blame on players afterward.

The best though, on the Twitters, are a bunch of Boston College fans showing all the times he did similar to their teams.  :lmao:

As an aside, the CSU fans are saying it was Urban Meyer who ultimately got him the job at CSU.  They bit on his endorsement.

Just finished the Arizona game.  Not nearly on the level but god, it's like they tried to make sure they didn't get the ball again with a chance to win at the end.  SMH.

Wake/Army in the early window looks interesting to me. I'll probably also have Navy/Cincy on until it gets ugly.

Mid-afternoon ET, I'll watch Maryland/Minnesota, OSU/ISU, Oregon/UCLA

I can post my fantasy roster, too, if I get enough likes.

Cincy at Navy not bad so far.
I don't think the Middies can hold up, but they are giving UC fits. UC's DBs are bigger than Navy's linemen.

Navy needs a transcendent QB to run their offense if they are gonna compete - a guy like Keenan Reynolds - and they don't have one right now.

Coach Ken has had opportunities to go to bigger jobs and turned them down. The program has been in a funk the last few years, and I wonder if he regrets not taking that PAC job when it was offered.

Michigan had back to back 1st and goal situations before half. Ran 6 plays. Zero passes thrown into end zone. Result - 19 yd FG and a fumble.
