2021 Fantasy MVP (1 Viewer)

I’m sure if we go by % owned by league winners, Kupp and Taylor would probably rank 1-2. Is there a better objective measure? IDK not sure.

For “Outstanding Performance Week 17”, really cannot top Ja’Marr Chase. One of the best FF weeks ever by a WR. Definitely best ever by a rookie WR, right?

Subjectively, though, the clear MVPs down the stretch IMO are Rashard Penny and Amon-Ra St Brown. Fight me.

Season long in our format, that’s the RB52 and WR27.

Over the last month? RB1 and WR3. Stellar in every round of the playoffs.

Who else you got?

Year long gotta be Kupp.

Jon Williams was pretty darn good as well.

QB Rodgers???

TE Andrews?

Mark Andrews was a huge difference maker all year, but especially down the stretch, and outside of Kelce's monster game against LA, basically doubled the production of any TE in the fantasy playoffs. Hell, 14.9 points, was his worst game. Doubly interesting that it was all without Lamar Jackson.

i made the finals in about every league where i didnt have Derrick Henry and it was largely because i overdrafted Kupp

MVP: Probably Kupp because his ADP was lower than Taylor's. Either one though was incredible.

4 pt passing league Josh Allen deserves some love as the most outstanding player probably without regards to positional value.

ROY: Chase (not close)

Lifetime Achievement Award: Brady. Still a top 3 QB in almost any format.

Year long:  QB: Brady, with Stafford in consideration. RB: Taylor (duh), then possibly Najee or Conner. Maybe Cordelle here, since WR is a bit deeper. WR: Kupp, Deebo, Chase. I could easily add more, but there's a measure of VBD here. TE: Andrews, and then... Dalton Schultz?

Late impact: QB - Allen or Burrow. Both with one relatively bad week after Thanksgiving, but otherwise studly. RB: Definitely Penny. There are arguments for Michel, Foreman or Najee who also were great 3 of 4 weeks. WR: Amon-Ra unsung hero. Then Adams, Kupp, Deebo, Chase. TE: 100% Andrews here.

Cooper Kupp and I don't think it's close.

Given his all-time season results vs his pre-season ranking... total lottery ticket.

This.

Based on my projections preseason, I had him with a VBD of 29, at WR19.  He finished WR1 (70 points ahead of Davante Adams at WR2) at a VBD of 202, for an increase of 163.   That's insane.   And this is based on a ten team 1/2 PPR league, starting 3WRs.

In my 1/2 PPR league, his weekly scores were  22.3, 34.8, 26.1, 8.9, 12.7, 31.5, 34.6, 23, 15, 19.7, 15.1, 24.9, 26.8, 32.2, 18.3, and 18.5.  What consistency.  Might not ever see this again.  Imagine putting pretty much 15 to 35 1/2 PPR fantasy points on the WR1 line every week.

I wonder how many championship rosters had Kupp.  Percentage has to be at least 30%.  I beat the Kupp owner in both leagues where I won championships!

I projected Andrews at TE5 at a VBD of 41 and he finished TE1 with a VBD of 117, 1/2 PPR 10 team league.  And was huge down the stretch.  Basically was 1st round value at a 5th-6th round price.  Kelce's VBD was 86 with 1 missed game so around 100, and he was taken in the 1st round.

I'll stand by my statement for Cooper Kupp, but Chase is interesting too because (IIRC) he had pre-season yips and a weird Twitter thing between he and his girlfriend right before the re-drafts that probably knocked his ADP down several spots.

Kupp for sure. He was my mvp in 1 league. I did win 3 others without him. In 2 of those, Kupp was in the finals.
Mark Andrews was also a nice mvp value play.

Yep.  Taylor was amazing but he was drafted no lower then mid 2nd in every league.  I think it's Kupp by a landslide.

Agree with OP that the PLAYOFF MVP is St. Brown and I don't think it's close either.
