WR Nelson Algholor to NE.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that while one never knows, that's a terrible signing. He's had one good year out of six. Maybe he's turned the corner and is in his prime, but I seriously doubt he's the guy you're looking for to be your number one or two, even.

Until the full contract details are known, hard to tell what the more realistic numbers are.
2 years at $26MM was reported for Agholor and you gave Bourne’s numbers. I’m guessing it’s not going to be that far off and I’m sure at least this season is guaranteed.

So Agholor and Bourne are making over $20MM between them.

I’d rather sign Golladay or JJSS for $16MM.
NE had practically no one signed beyond this year (other than a handful of guys on their rookie deals). If they wanted to, they could push cap hits into future years and sign pretty much anyone on the market. So they could still afford one of the guys you mentioned.

Oh in that case I’d sign both of them and not touch Agholor or Bourne.

That is definitely not a number one contract.

Texans should have a good kick return game next season. They're cornering the market.
They're not going to be fielding a lot of punts and most kickoffs go through the endzone. But in that small niche, they are among a dozen other good teams now. If they try hard they might be top 3 in that department. I kid the Texans but seriously how come they get to be so stupid?

think they do like Niang....and they get Duvernay-Tardif back as well

LT-TBD

LG-Thuney

C-TBD

RG-Duvernay-Tardif

RT-Niang

obviously still some work to do in FA.....some have KC attacking OT in first few rounds including the first....gut says what was a nightmare situation will be ok by the time the dust settles.....don't think they can afford to make a huge splash at LT in FA but we will see...
So it looks like the Thuney deal is significantly backloaded with a tiny cap hit this year, giving the Chiefs space to make additional moves. They should definitely go after a LT here -- Trent Williams would be incredible, Riley Reiff would be solid (and not quite as expensive). Can address C in the draft if they're not comfortable with Allegretti there. At pick 31, finding a starting C is way easier than finding a starting LT.

Good for all of us that have Saints skilled players.  :pickle:
I've personally had total confidence he would sign and win the job because of those Saints skill position players. To much money tied into a WR and pass catching specialist RB to go with Taysom as more then a gadget.

Seems like good for both sides, and if he proves it this year he'll get a massive payday in 2022.
Absolutely massive stakes for Winston this year. Win the job and do well and we see what QB's are making an of course he's young enough to sign two more extensions. Stumble after a year of getting coached up by Payton after the team that just got rid of you won the SB and he's heading for career backup career.

Interesting...they had him for a full year and still only gave him a one year deal...gonna be real interesting because I think Hill is gonna play a bigger role without Brees as well.

One of the story lines I find to be most compelling is when a Player chooses to bet on himself. I'm not a big fan of Winston, but if that's what's going down with this deal, I admire him for doing so.

Drew Rosenhaus is killing it in free agency. Aaron Jones, Jonnu Smjth, Davon Godchaux, Jalen Mills, Trent Brown, Shaq, Gronk.

Just read Winston's contract is expected to have a bunch of dummy/voidable years attached to it like Taysom's, so fyi don't freak out when you hear details.

I read like a few hours ago he was up to $250M in contracts signed already, and what is impressive is it's no QB's and generally speaking not the most sought after paid positions on the open market.
