Assuming he is healthy, I love the idea of a big possession receiver like Robinson opposite a smaller speed guy like Smith. Since he went to Penn State, is he a Pennsylvania guy?
Eh I refuse to believe that. I think this team has him energized, personally. If not, then the HOF countdown begins. And he assuredly will be in the Pro Football HOF, just a matter of how quickly.
Yeah, it gets into the whole voidable years area, which I don't understand. I think this contract is Howie being Howie with the salary cap (which he does a great job with btw. Personnel choices....not always so much)
So rams or tb? Who do we want to play? Seems like tb
I’m betting on Philly and the points. Now Dallas has CB’s Diggs and Kearse, their best RB Tony Pollard, and Safety Wilson not traveling... in addition to Parsons, Tyron Smith, Gallup and Brown. Dallas has no corners nowhaha we aren't winning that game.
Its a hard game either way. But I think we are a tough out. If we win this game will some of your jalen hate go away? Or will you continue bashing him no matter what? I agree he's not ideal but hes more than adequate. I'm just saying enjoy the ride and root for our guy.Don't really like either match up for Hurts. Much prefer to play Dal which has no chance or ARZ honestly. Gun to my Head maybe Rams because we can make it more of a home game out there for us plus Stafford can be streaky. Their defense scares me with Hurts in there right now. And I wouldn't feel much more confident if Minshew was in there either if anyone wanted to know against LAR
Yeah it's a pick em game to me. I think the eagles win a meaningless gameI’m betting on Philly and the points. This is going to be a yellow flag shower with practice squad players on the field. Both teams should just play a six man game.

I know you love our team. I just want you to get on board with what we got. Sometimes you gotta ride with what you got man. You know this already but hey I'm drunkI'm not rooting again him as much as it looks like I am. I've already said I think he's done enough to at least start next season which I'm fine by because even if they wanted to replace him there's not guaranteed great QB in this draft anyway so I'm not going to even say they need to get rid of him. He's done enough to warrant a starting chance next year.
The bolded I think depends on the situation. If the defense wins us the game more so then the offense if he plays well enough to keep us in the game for that chance I'll give him credit. If he can carry the team if needed in the 2nd half yes I'll give him credit. However I'm not going to be a believer. I don't believe Hurts can do it consistently enough is my biggest issue with him. He still leaves a lot out there even when he does well. I think his weaker arm also does us a disservice with the speed at WR we have and I'd like for a more consistent better deep ball QB. mean I'd like it to resemble a chance of actually being a legit threat to happen from time to time.
I don't hate the guy per say. Easy too root for and such. I just prefer a different style QB all together.
So went to breakfast with one of my sources today more as a get together after the holiday and he had some interesting things. Trust me this is way shorter then the original post of this was suppose to be. Left out a few things in case I get more from others first.

On the Coaching Staff: Everyone is buying in and no-one had an issue with Nick's Roots and Water quote. He had been preaching it to the staff and players well before the PC. Everyone is buying into the systems and Gannon had no issue when Cox called him out publicly. The coaches want the players speaking out on stuff and giving their opinions one way or another. There's not much talk on losing coaches other then maybe Shane Steichen but thats more of a possible down the road and if he feels ready. Steichen they feel could be a HC and maybe this year he gets his feet wet in interviews and 23' has a good chance at a HC job depending how the team does. There was worry with some in the FO that the ages of the coaches would clash with veteran players and such but the Vets have totally bought into them and see it as being reenergized.
Asked him about the Hurts/Sirianni sideline thing: Nick is doing his best to figure out what players take coaching wise. Some tougher some he will talk to privitely. This wasn't the first time Nick has done this to Hurts and he's done at practice and meetings. Brian Johnson the QB coach knowing Hurts dad told Nick that Hurts responds better to tough love coaching and coddling him does nothing.
On Nick and coaches adjustments after 1/4 of the season: Hurts passing a lot was the coaching staff and FO trying to see where Hurts was in his development. Nick believes the best way to see legit progress is through game action. They saw all they needed and realized right now at this point in his career Hurts still has work to do in the passing game. Nick and the Offense figured out where guys were good offensively and worked in plays that are guys strengths and hide some weaknesses. He'd have liked to give the RBs more of a chance early on but he needed to see where Hurt's was in his development. They've seen some encouraging things and the offense is no where close to what Nick wants to run yet he's adapted.
Defensively the coaching staff knows they don't have all the right guys yet. They were devastated at the loss of Taylor for the year as Gannon loves him and he's one of the staff's favorites because of the energy he brings to the defense and how hard he works.
Draft from last year and this year: Hurts was drafted higher because of how much some of the staff liked and had him ranked. They didn't want to have a Russ Wilson situation again where they missed a guy and Hurts to Philly was given its blessing by Andy Reid who told Doug he liked him and Lurie (Not sure how this isn't some sort of tampering or just saying football people talking football). So Howie drafted him to please Howie. They had Dickerson and Milton ranked higher on their board than others which is why they took them too. Didn't say where they were draft wise as a lot can change from today till draft day in 4 months. They love the development of Landon so far and they believe he's the Center of the future.
Hurts and his Future here: This was interesting. They liked the progress of where Hurts is and he said he's done enough to BE THE STARTER GOING INTO 2022. Said the coaching staff loves him and so does Lurie. I asked him his own opinion and if Lurie's love for him was his on field play or financially: He said it sounds like the team has learned from the Wentz/Hurts situation and doesn't want to get into another situation like that. They know they F'd that up big time and no one person is at fault Lurie,Howie,Doug,Carson,Hurts, etc. Hurts didn't do anything to make them desperately NEED TO DRAFT A QB this year (Also didn't rule out them drafting 1 late as a dev back up or one of the top guys if he does well pre draft either) but he also didn't do enough to say he is a future Franchise QB. Believes Lurie likes him more right now for financial reasons and after next year they have more flexibility moving forward and that Hurts still has a lot of area to improve. But they are comfortable with him going into 2022 with for now with Hurts. Was told circumstances and possibilities do come up that can always change stances.
Based on what he's heard he could see Howie moving up and down the draft board the next 2 yrs acquiring a plethora of picks and then using some to move up when needed. Next years draft is a lot more valuable to teams do to a better QB class. Was told a few yrs ago the better the QB class the better value picks have and crazier the trades can get too unless a team is desperate AKA CHI with Trubisky draft. If Howie can get a 1st in '22 for one of the 1st this year expect the Eagles to say yes. They like keeping their options open and if they can get another pick this year out of it too they will. Expect them to invest in the trenches but they also feel they can take risks later with the OL and don't need to reach for guys early because of Jeff Stoutland. At the same time if there's a guy early Stout loves they will listen.
Guys who could leave: Asked about Kelce as I haven't gotten much from those I know who know him. He said the team and Kelce are taking it year to year on how he feels but if he goes they are very confident Landon Dickerson can be their guy. Thinks the team might cut bait on Brooks do to availability issues (he took this line from Mike Mayock awhile ago and I love it) and how much they pay him. Love the guys who can step in for him. Cox could go either trade of cut but could also see them restructure again. Would like too keep Nelson but know they need to get younger. Barnett is up and down with the FO. He could see him going but also signed to possible cheap extension and then maybe traded later on. Could see Ward gone and thinks Reagor is on the fringe fighting for a roster spot depending what they do at WR. On Miles Sanders he's heard different situations. If Sanders wants too much he's gone and the Eagles will try and get some value for him especially if they have Howard/Gainwell/Scott. Also said if they draft an RB and where that could be telling where they and Miles are. Their main concern is Sanders being able to stay healthy. Safety wise he could see them keeping Harris on a similar deal and signing McLeod again but can see them trying to upgrade if possible. They love Maddox at Slot but they need to get younger on the outside. Slay isn't going anywhere but could see a restructured deal for him to save some cap. TE they love Goedart/Jackson as their dual but they also like Stohl as well but could see a UDFA or or late pick on the team to round out the TE spot. Overall there's a ton of guys on this roster who aren't untouchable. A few right now maybe along the offensive line along with Devonta but that's it. Everyone could be had for a price. I asked him whats the view on Graham and Johnson moving forward. Graham is the emotional leader of the defense and as you see in the videos he's in the locker room after every game. Team loves him and they hope like Kelce he's an Eagle for Life and retires as one. Johnson everyone was excited to have him back. Players gave him space but also told him they were there if he needed them and such. First day back got a standing O from the locker room. This is a pretty tight group and Lane had everyone worried. Sirianni got pretty emotional after the game with cameras off after Lane got the TD catch. Everyone was happy for him. It was a play they worked on for awhile and Nick felt it was the right time to bring that baby out. Also he felt it was a great way to reward Lane for his response after what happened.
ok I know we bust on some of your long posts but this was pretty interesting, good stuff. Thanks DJax.
Like I said I try to make these shorter then I can these things because people just want the juicy stuff. However some people get confused or take things out of context so I feel I need to put some of the "extras" into here.
Thank you and honestly it's a lot of stuff I thought was happening already so I pretty much confirmed a lot of stuff I thought was going on to begin with.
The Hurts is at least good for next year I've heard from two different people.
i wish analytics were better sometimes. would love to know how many calories Dawkins could burn fro literally stepping outside of the lockerrom to the time of his first step. i would be willing to bet he burned more calories in that tie then i burn for a day in quarantinebabydemon90 said:Since Dallas Week kinda sucks and is unevenful this year, let's recall an end of season Dallas Week game that meant something for both teams.

Risk of injury and the benefit of rest outweighs trying to polish up with half our team out with covid.Do we have a confirmation that we are resting players tonight? It's doesn't make sense to me to rest. We are not a polished team ready for the playoffs. IMO if we are wanting any momentum going forward then we should treat this game as an audition for the playoffs.
I could be wrong but I fully expect the
Eagles
to show up tonight. I mean the worse case scenario is we lose tonight because we are resting players then get destroyed in the Wildcard round. If we win tonight but lose in the Wildcard round is much better. Earlier in the season Nick was wearing the Beat
Dallas
t-shirt. He knows how important is for us to win against
Dallas
no matter the situation. I'd rather we go balls out going forward.

The reward of extra polish for a single game isn't worth the risk imo. I would have been fine with a series or two to get the starters SOME work, but the "rusty" biit from a single week off is overblown. Take the free bye, a 17 game schedule is brutal anyway.Do we have a confirmation that we are resting players tonight? It's doesn't make sense to me to rest. Liked the fight in the first half. Weird game with us playing so many scrubs
yeah, was a good loss. everyone has said a loss def. better to more likely face the Rams. i'm not convinced that is the easier opponent, but seems a lot felt it would be.Liked the fight in the first half. Weird game with us playing so many scrubs
He should be ahead of Reagor 100%.I have no clue why Quez Watkins doesn’t get more playing time. Maybe his routes aren’t where Sirianni wants them to be but he’s fast, plays big, runs great after the catch and never seems to drop a pass. He’s basically the opposite of Reagor and JJAW.
Seems like you guys could say the same about Greg Ward Jr and Anghalorgaha or whatever his name was a year or two ago.I have no clue why Quez Watkins doesn’t get more playing time. Not even remotely concerned. Our side was trying not to get hurt and your backups were playing like it was their super bowl because they’re fighting for playing time and don’t have any mileage on them from playing a long season.Got to feel confident for us we matched Dal for 2 QTRS with them playing their starters. Rare Siposs Shank changed the game though. If I'm a Dal fan I'd feel a bit worried they couldn't put away the Eagles Back ups in the 2nd half. Super Glad DAL Spent all that cash on Zeke because he looks like he is going downhill. Numerous times last two yrs Pollard looks like such the better back. Zeke will have a great game here and there but few and far between. If it wasn't for the added week he finishes almost 100yds shy of 1K rushing.
Contest update: winner of the Eagles/Cowboys game this week is going to decide our winner:
Good luck, Gents.
- PHI wins, the 10-7 prediction by @jon007 takes it all
