2021 Plant your flag! (1 Viewer)

FF - M.Andrews out produces Kelce and finishes as TE1 as L-Jax has a resurgence in the Passing Dept.

NFL - Tampa Bay makes the playoffs but loses first round it plays.

He's a popular breakout target, so the boldness can be debated, but I'm going with Jerry Jeudy finishes a WR1 (top 12) in ppr.

105/1375/9 for 17.4 ppg.

I have 6 flags!

Brady will go 5000/40 this year and prove everyone wrong about Father Time is catching up to him.

Antonio Gibson is a top 5 RB.  1300 yds rushing, 60 rec, and 13 TDs.

AJ Brown leads the league in receiving TDs with 15.

Mark Andrews leads all TEs in receiving TDs with 11.

Kyle Pitts will smash the rookie TE fantasy record......80/1000/8.

Stefon Diggs finishes outside the top 10 WRs this year in a 1/2PPR format.

Pitts will post an uneventful 45/550/4

Hockenson is TE1

AR12 + Mooney become only the second WR duo to top 1000 yards in Bears history.

The good:

Tua breaks out

Chubb leads the league in rushing and finishes top 3 RB in PPR

Josh Jacobs surprises everyone and finishes as an RB1

Barkley finishes as top 6 RB in PPR

Deebo, Hardman, and Ruggs all outperform ADP

DK Metcalf WR1

Hockenson 100 catch season, battles with Pitts as dynasty TE1

The bad:

Minshew replaces Hurts by mid-season

Brady FINALLY regresses and calls for retirement flood the social media streets

Mixon underperforms AGAIN

Najee/Swift dissapoint, CEH/Semon rise

Diggs/Hopkins finish outside WR1

Kittle's value crashes due to continued injuries

Oh I absolutely would love this! My big league I have 4 of these 6 rostered!!

I'm gonna plant a few more flags.

Daniel Jones and Sam Darnold both play bench worthly football and don't have starting jobs next year.

Either CEH or Gibson top five rb

Jakobi Meyers top 30 wr

Gerald Everett te1 (might as well, he's ended up as the starter in all my leagues)

Houston Texans win no more then two games.

great topic OP. I like Tripp's answer about the delusional Pitts thread LOL. classic. to the people in this thread that have Pitts at 90,1000+ double digit TDs...last 1000 yard rookie TE was...mike ditka, 1961. how many HOF TEs have come down the tpke since then that failed to go over 1000 yards?! every one of them.

My flag(s):

Davonta Smith is going to make you so sour  that you didn't draft him, it's going to turn your stomach. you foolishly bought into the 'he's too small' narrative and then you watch him go off this season. it starts week 1 vs. Atl's laughable defense.

Freiermuth, or however you spell the dude's name ,   is going to be a top 7 TE , bordering on elite status.

T. Lawrence AND Z. Wilson both look like Herbert from 2020.

James Robinson is a top 5 RB

Gronk looks like the Gronk we saw in is prime. With all of the WRs and Gio, who the heck is covering Gronk?! who cares that he's 32. Anyone see the interviews with him lately? notice the size of his neck and how fit he looks?? he's put on size. it's not hard for a 32 yr old TE to get open in THIS offense. what he did in the SB is vintage Gronk ,and I think that game was just a peek into what we can expect from him this season. TB got rolling the last half of 2020. that's going to be taken to a whole new level this season. Top 5 TE in 2021.

Darrell Henderson quiets all the haters by rushing for more yards, more TDs than A. Gibson, and finishes as a top 7 RB. I have both of these guys, and I just worry that we're too high on AG. we might need to pump the brakes here.

Mac Jones throws as many picks as TDs, 1:1 ratio, and gets benched at some point this season.. and OF COURSE it'll be priceless to watch BB cringe on the sidelines!! the magic is gone, people, come to grips with it. that dog won't hunt, OP!!

They still have Hurts throwing the ball    Plus Goedert and Ertz.  I can see Hurts chucking it to his TEs.  I like Smith and believe he will eventually be a great pro, but it may not happen this year.

  • Flag 1 : Texans shoot out to 0-Everything sort of season only to find steam late in the year, win a few games, and find themselves picking 5th in the 2022 draft yet still as the worst team in the league wishing they hadn't Jets'd themselves out of a top QB
  • Flag 2 : Calvin Ridley finishes as WR1
  • Flag 3 : (Biggest what the heck) Travis Kelce does not finish as TE1

I hate when my team is used as a verb. 🥲

Flag 1 is my favorite thing that incompetently run teams do

Boo this person, BOOOOOOO!
1 franchise playoff win in your lifetime will make you bitter.  I like Stafford but I think he's a better bad team QB than a good team QB.   Sort of like Curtis Joseph the goalie, great bad team goalie, average on good teams, while Roy was poor on poor teams but clutch on a good team.

Really have a hard time choosing between 2……

Brady - I’m convinced he breaks Manning’s ‘13 season marks and AJ. Brown - believe he ends up as the #1 WR this year.
Book it.

*yes the over hype train is steaming out the station 1 quarter of play into the season.

have Lamb on several teams and named one of them CeeDee’s Nuts

boy did d he look raw tonight, missed a couple reads, not in sync with Dak at all

still good production but it’s obvious he’s just nowhere near Amari in route running or trust factor

uber talent though & should have a big year

If only he played seventeen games against Dallas.

My flag is planted on Tua. There is almost always a second year breakout QB that no one sees coming (Wentz, Mahomes, Lamar). Tua is a good candidate for this year’s breakout. I’m taking him late ahead of the rookies
LOL I already dropped him for Ty'Son. But I will try to get him back when I have a chance.

1. Hockenson

2. Shenault

3. T Higgins

I’ve got all three on my three teams.  Two of those teams are cheap redraft work leagues, and in those leagues I typically draft players I don’t have on my $$$ dynasty team.  Yet I ended up all of them, every time.  So yeah, I’m planting a flag on these three, and that flag is they will be hot names by the middle of the season.

So this is where we all just name the players that we drafted, right? I’ll add to the hopium:

Robby Anderson finishes in the top 20 at WR.

James Robinson puts to rest the concerns about the losing touches to the corpse of Carlos Hyde and finishes an RB1.

Dak is QB1.

Joe Mixon RB 1....Just like Todd Gurley a few years ago, he's gonna go from late second round to number 1 overall.

Antonio Gibson goes late second/early third in fantasy drafts next year. Those taking him will be hoping this is the year he gets all of the passing downs work. He may keep up his TD production because he still plays Dallas twice.

Justin Herbert finishes outside the top 12.

Zack Wilson finishes inside the top 12.

In 2018 I drafted Mahomes in the 8th. The following year Lamar went in the 10th in my league. (I was high on him but stupidly thought that if I drafted Cam I didn't need a back-up. Cam played two games and then went on IR.) So yes, not many people were saying before the season that either was going to finish as the QB1.
I got both of them in the exact same rounds those two years.  🏧

Yeah, Shanahan obviously just playing games with us. Sermon being a surprise healthy scratch another example. Very maddening.
I own Sermon and Aiyuk on the same team and Aiyuk was my first WR drafted. I have no idea what’s happening. And my WR room is not deep at all.

Matthew Stafford finishes as a top 3 QB

Nick Chubb rushes for over 1,900 yards

Van Jefferson finishes the season with the second most points amongst Rams WRs

Corey Davis finishes as a top 10 overall WR

Juwan Johnson finishes as a top 10 overall TE

Lucky guesses. Maybe I should go buy some lottery tickets tonight as well
