Pistons signed Buddy Boeheim after the draft. I don't think he will be a superstar, but with his height and shooting maybe he could be a little better version of Duncan Robinson.

well, here we are hoping for CC & Ivey what we were hoping for Killian Hayes & CC a year ago. i know Michiganders are anxious to matter again, but i love the Duren pickup and hope it means they let Ayton darken someone else's door. greatest physical presence in the draft who could honestly be the player of his class if he buys in. at the very least, it pushes Beefstew back to the secondary hustlebot he's supposed to be. GL- I would purely love to see Miles Bridges reSparty on y'all now

You've probably seen a lot more Big 10 ball than I have -- you think Liddell will be a good addition to the Pelicans' bench?
Liddell adds to the long list of 6'7" - 6'9" multi-position guys the Pelicans have accumulated. This coming season, Liddell shouldn't have to be more than a 8th or 9th man in the rotation.

- my morning wakeup is watching VSin Network's Follow the Money show and both hosts were dancing in the aisles after indeed heeding their titled advice and getting down on Banchero #1 (well, one of em missed the boat on the mad rush but saw that Jabari-to-Rockets was virtually the same thing and was 18-1) after hearing that the inside dough was getting down on it. their joy today was a stark contrast to Thursday morning despair after Woj poo-pooed the rumors
- although Banchero is the better player, Jabari Smith is actually a better fit for the Rockets. Even if Green & Sengun are as good as hoped, Paolo would mean having 3 stars who dont hold their positions on the floor at once (4 with Porter). Jabari totes changes that dynamic, as a young Horford, tho he may not be as buckets as the 1.01
- Pop's GM gave him some reasons to hang around, doncha think?
- OKC is gonna need some kind of Star Wars space-animal herder to run practices including Chet, Dieng, Pokus and Dorts. And i hear 2 of the 3 picks they sent the Knicks for Dieng are so protected that theyre likely to turn to dust
- Memphis getting very clever, picking "all they do is play basketball" types like LaRavia, Roddy and Chandler. Still dont think they have the coach who can manage it, but......... and i secretly hopes Roddy busts out so i can draft him on my dynasty fb teams.
- Melton was a nice way for the Sixers to kickoff forming the bench that will be the key to next season
- Wolves got not only the big @Frostillicus wanted but filled their greatest need by getting an honest-to-God grownup in gamer Wendell Moore (who keyed most of those Duke tourney comebacks) with the 2nd pick they gained by trading back
- if Nuggets' 2nd-rd pick Ismael Kamagate gets involved in a scandal of some kind, will it be called Kamagate or Kamagategate?
- Mark Williams wont be the best but will be the most significant rookie of the 22-23 season if Charlotte keeps the rest of the team together

i'm guessing footspeed. everybody's worried (for good reason) about players being screened onto bad matchups cancelling their value in other aspects. if you saw all that dashing & leaping in the highlights last nite, you could see that everyone's drafting for ceiling. no harm in having floor guys, solid pros, too. he'll just have to work harder.

Dallas continues to make smart, high upside/low downside moves. Jumping back in to grab Jaden Hardy - #2 prospect in the class in 2021, disappointing struggle in the G-League.
Time and time again the smart teams bet on talent. It's so nice to feel like Dallas under Nico is one of the smart teams. Is he likely to turn into an all-star? No, for sure no. Does he have the talent where he could? Yeah, probably moreso than most of these guys outside the lottery.
The only difference between Hardy and Shaedon Sharpe is that Sharpe didn't play and Hardy didn't live up to it. 30 picks difference result.

The dumbest Kings move of the night wasn't picking Murray, it was dealing a great second rounder (37) to Dallas for 2024 and 2028 second round picks. Those are going to be bottom of the second round picks many years from now. I hope the Kings at least got some cash in that transaction, though even that hasn't been reported. It makes zero sense.

This team at worst should be in the play in next year. Anything above that is awesome.

As a Cavs fan, didn't love the selection of Agbaji. An older prospect who didn't really dominate until their senior season is always a red flag for me. And size-wise, he's more a shooting guard than a small forward, which is what they desperately need. He's going to be competing for time with Levert, Sexton, and Okoro or have to play with two of those guys as an undersized 3.
Since this is hopefully their last trip into the lottery for awhile, I was hoping they'd take a bigger swing and draft a legitimate small forward sized guy that has some upside, like Tari Eason. But I hope I'm wrong and he's better than I expect.

If they're smart, they're punting on this season. Adding an end of the rotation low ceiling rookie isn't going to make them a contender for the conference finals this year, so I think it's a good move. Can't say whether this particular person is the best project they could have taken at that spot, but the approach is right.

Westbrook is off the books after this season, so they'd have a chance to put a decent roster together. Goal would be for this kid to spend this season working up to being an actual contributor next season.
