Apparently the suns want kd if available.

Apparently the suns want kd if available.See yeah Kyrie - most hated Net ever...much better return than I anticipated. I really liked Spencer when he was with the Nets....I havent watched a lot of DFS but liked what Ive read so far about him. Picks are a nice asset as well. Im thinking there is another move coming to try to entice KD to stick around as well.
I wonder if the Mavs have another trade planned up their sleeves. They weren’t a deep team before the trade, and losing 2 starters for 1 certainly isn’t going to help. For those of whom are big Mavs fans here (that are more familiar with their situation)- what more do they have that could be moved for depth? Is Bertans an expiring contract?
I also didn’t realize that the Mavs received Markieff Morris as part of the deal. While I don’t think he’s a major factor—I do think that he is the type of player that can provide some depth off of the bench when healthyI wonder if the Mavs have another trade planned up their sleeves. Christian Wood's expiring contract is their most viable trade asset but they kind of need him.
I just don't see Kyrie wanting to stay long-term in Texas.
Jokes aside, I feel like Claxton has taken a big step forward this year. At least when I watch the Nets he seems to be making plays on both ends.Durant: " well, i still got ben simmons!" lol
Feeding Durant’s fish, apparently.what am i missing?Because he's an unreliable nitwit. Sure, he is playing well now, but he could decide tomorrow that he isn't gonna play for the next two weeks because his goldfish died. Why is KD impossible to root for? He's played at a very high level for the Nets IMO.this team and star players (Kyrie/KD/Ben) are impossible to root for. Hopefully they get some solid young players and build it back up again.
That was a pretty brutal watchc'mon man ESPN switch over to the game. no one cares about this pro bowl.
Claxton has taken a big step and Cam Thomas is ready to pick up the scoring slack - with the 2 new additions they can still make a run if KD is in top form...plus I still think Marks has one more trade for the front court. How the team finishes will likely result in if KD stays or not. As a fan Im very pleased to get Kyrie out of town - addition by subtraction but still like the pieces they got from a very weak position.Jokes aside, I feel like Claxton has taken a big step forward this year. What does this even mean? Dallas is the polar opposite of this place. If I had to pick one city that would be on the edge of the planet, Dallas is a very likely choice. Kyrie better watch out if he walks too far in any direction.
Kyrie believes in a flat earthWhat does this even mean? Dallas is the polar opposite of this place.
but when Westbrook did it everyone was saying that triple doubles were meaningless and he was a selfish playerEveryone lost their ever loving minds when Westbrook averaged a triple-double and handed him an MVP.
I can see The Process slowly overtaking Jokic especially after killing him in their latest matchup. Phlly has been playing great basektball. He just has to stay healthy.
If a center does it while maintaining historically great efficiency levels and leading his team to the 1 seed, how does he not win MVP?

So. He’s a moron. Texans don’t give a shot about that.

I would not be surprised to see Kyrie re-sign with Dallas and then demand a trade in about a year.I just don't see Kyrie wanting to stay long-term in Texas.
Dallas has more reasons to offer him a 4-year max than anybody else.

According to Stein and other journalists the Clippers and Suns had pretty good offers.First off: we had to give up DFS AND a first for this crap? We had all the power.

There is a big difference in style between Westbrook and jokic. Jokic truly doesn't care about his stats as long as he's contributing to helping the team win. His ego is nearly non-existent - early in his career the team was begging him to take more shots and get more aggressive but he didn't want to take opportunities from his teammates. He has constantly said that he would rather get an assist than a shot because it makes two players happy not one.but when Westbrook did it everyone was saying that triple doubles were meaningless and he was a selfish playerEveryone lost their ever loving minds when Westbrook averaged a triple-double and handed him an MVP.

People watch the NBA?
and denver statiscally has like the best team offense ever whereas OKC was not even close to that.I just don't see Kyrie wanting to stay long-term in Texas.

We can disagree with his MVP candidacy but it's impossible to find any evidence that he is a stat hunter. In fact, he has something like 40 near triple doubles where he is one pt/reb/ast from a triple double. That's not something that would happen with a player who was trying to compile stats.
Markieff is pretty much washed at this point.I also didn’t realize that the Mavs received Markieff Morris as part of the deal. I thought it was a clever joke - since a flat earth wouldn’t have “polar opposites”.Kyrie believes in a flat earthWhat does this even mean? Dallas is the polar opposite of this place.

Just answering yuor question about what it meant
That would be even better. I'd rather take down a rival team by letting them trade for this guy.According to Stein and other journalists the Clippers and Suns had pretty good offers.First off: we had to give up DFS AND a first for this crap? We had all the power.
Jalen Brunson on a $26m/yr deal seems like he would have been useful to keep around.

This is such a good point. Doesnt make much sense to me but Cuban likes his shiny toys.
@TheFrankIsola
Our business plan is to not re-sign Jalen Brunson but instead trade for Kyrie….next on Shark Tank

Per sources (Lakers Twitter people), Lakers offered Westbrook and 2 1sts, but Nets countered with Westbrook, Reaves, Christie, 21sts, and 2 swaps.
The Mavs don’t have much in the way of assets and they just gave up 3 fairly valuable ones for a nutcase who will probably leave in the summer. Don’t know what they are thinking. Is the hope Kyrie and Luka go nuclear in the playoffs and deliver a title? That seems like a low probability event.
If Kyrie leaves how do they build a team around Luka that will make him want to commit long-term?
Alternatively, say they sign him to a 4 year max and he's on relatively good behavior (i.e. no big media scandals and just does more run of the mill weird Kyrie things)

Right? And what better place to bolster your flat earth ideas than Dallas? You can stand on a Lincoln Log and see Houston.

What were Porzingis's off-court issues? Why are we so surprised the Mavericks did this? A few years ago they traded for Porzingus. Really weird guy with some off the court issues (not as bad as Kyrie, but still a red flag) super talented player that needed to be paid soon, injured all the time.
The only real difference between them was age and the position they played.

Nets, Joe Tsai refused to trade Kyrie Irving to Lakers
Kyrie Irving’s preferred destination — and the one that seemed to make the most sense — was a no-go for the Nets.nypost.com
