i used to watch ole jimmy buckets at marquette games live and in person at the bradley center and let me tell you he was not then what he is now he was a good player but he was not this player one of the most improved guys i have ever seen after college hes just a different man take that to the bank brohans
Chip on his shoulder. His defense was always good, but his offense efficiency continues to improve at age 33. Did you also see Wade live at Marquette?

Steal Game 1
Butler 35, 7 assists
WooHoo
And those 6 steals.......oh my.

Boston already in a must win Game 2........Heat can play loose. If by some wild way they actually pull out game 2......lights out Boston.

Heat just needs to hold the home court.....which they have the past 7 games. They have a distinct coaching advantage and Jimmy ****ing Butler.

Let’s Go!!!!!!!

Disagree with your second paragraph. The Celtics are so hot and cold they aren't in must win game until they are on the brink.

There is a reason they are the only team left with a bad home record in the playoffs. They have and can win game 6's and 7's on the road. They can easily rattle off 3 or 4 straight wins or 4 out of 5 with 3 on the road and this is why they are so frustrating for Celtic fans.

They have the mental toughness to win in any environment at anytime and then they seem to get into their own head and **** it all up.

LaVine and Markkanen was a decent return for Jimmy. Too bad Markkanen turned into a Portland pick which might not ever convey.
You expect Portland to make the playoffs every year from 2024 - 2028?

The opposite. They may not make the playoffs at all during those years.

Yeah, the Blazers owe Chicago a 1st the first year they make the playoffs from now until 2028.

I know this because I live in Portland.

If it's not already bad enough, they incentivize losing. Neat.

Here is the thing….the Celtics are facing a team that has been road tested as well this post season.

Just heard a ridiculous stat…this playoffs when falling behind at any point in a game by double digits…the rest of the teams are 14-59….the Heat are 5-2.

Should be a great series.

Yeah, so are the Celtics though.

Outside of Mazzulla (admittedly a big deal), they've all been here done that before.

He said 'as well'

I heard an interesting stat on the radio just now.

The Celtics have played 703 playoffs games in their teams history.

The 3rd quarter last night was the most shots given up in 1 quarter in any of the 703 games.

Mazzulla took no time outs in the 3rd quarter.

I don’t agree with that being a flagrant. Russell clearly went for the ball and there was nothing dirty about the wind up. There was nominal/marginal contact to the head —but nothing that warranted it being flagrant imo.

They always call a hit to the head like that a flagrant.
That’s not true at all. Incidental contact to the head is certainly not always called a flagrant. It’s common for players to catch random hands/elbows to the face/head when going for rebounds and it’s called a common foul unless the motion was deliberate or egregious. In this case, the wind up was clearly for the intent of blocking the shot and his head basically got “rubbed” while attempting to go for a clean block.

The players seem extra whiney towards the officials tonight. Every foul should be a no call and every no call is a felony.
Tonight? It's every game, all teams this season.

[GoingWithMyBestVanGundy] The NBA needs to address the amount of complaining to the officials. And flopping. Ged rid of this crap. They largely did in FIBA.

The league should put a similar level of energy into improving the officiating.
