2022 Philadelphia Eagles - Leave Gannon in Arizona and let’s run through the NFC again in 2023. (1 Viewer)

We suck at drafting WR's.

I'm not fully sold on Smith yet.

We should be making a hard push for Deebo. Get him, and then skip over the position during the draft. Sign a couple UDFA's afterwards to fill out the position for camp.

Smith just set the team rookie record for receiving yards with a qb who can barely throw on a run first team

  What more do you want

Jjaw is pretty much gone, and I think the same about Reagor. He might get the JJAW treatment that JJAW got last year and just buried on the depth chart, but I think even if a team offers a 7th round comp pick, he is gone on draft day. Neither will contribute this season in any meaningful way. I'd be shocked if one is on the 53 when the season begins.

JJAW at least did a few of the little things like played special teams well and blocked. Reagor doesn't offer anything

I thought he would at least offer some plays as a punt returner but reagor has royally sucked at that as well.  wish we could get rid of him somehow.   Really doesn't deserve to be on the roster.

Yeah if he returned punts better I wouldn't have as big of an issue but he's utterly useless. At least JJAW has some versatility with other things he does well and he was in on offense during blocking plays

If we're going WR, which I really wish they wouldn't, I would want Dotson. Those are my simple thoughts.

He's a bit of reach there. He's projected as more of a 2nd rounder with a few saying late first round maybe ARZ
But because he's Penn State, we shouldn't touch him until round 7

THe more I look at Jameson, the more I want him.  And it's not like Howie EVER shies away from drafting an injured player, or a skinny WR.  Both of those things (Smith/Dickerson) worked out just fine last year.  And now we have ANOTHER Alabama player that fits both of those profiles... seems like a match made in heaven for Howie.

With the WR market exploding, and it seeming like you only get/can afford a WR for their rookie contract before their gone, I'm all for grabbing a WR in round 1, and I think he's worth the risk.  Quez/Smith/Williams in 2023!?  Fastest WR group in the league.

Eagles Draft Prediction Contest! Winner gets a pu pu platter of Eagles swag.

Entries due by noon, Thursday. Respond with the following predictions:

Pick #15: Trade Up/Trade Down/Stay, player picked

Pick #18: Trade Up/Trade Down/Stay, player picked

Eagles final draft pick: total number of letters in their given first and last name

Scoring will be 2 points for each Up/Down/Stay correct prediction, 4 points for each correct player prediction. If a pick is traded, the player taken with the earliest pick resulting from the trade will be considered the player picked. Ties will be broken by closest correct prediction of total letters in the final pick's name.

Good luck!

15 - Stay - Olave (Would like a WR to pair with D Smith so him, wilson or Dotson)

18 - Stay - Lloyd (Would like LB here so him or Dean)

Final pick 15

15 stay jameison Williams

18 stay jordan Davis

23
I'm in the same line of thinking as you and I'm not sure I like it. I know acl injuries aren't the career killer they used to be, but I hate drafting damaged goods.

One thing I am certain of now: one of those 1st round picks will be a WR.

15. Stay - LB - D. Lloyd

18. Trade down - WR - J. Dotson

Last - 16 total

(Extra point - In addition to a swap of 1st's this year, the trade down from 1.18 nets us another 1st in 2023, cementing Howie as a Draft God in the eyes of the entire NFL, not just Eagles fans.)
