Having a difficult time buying the narrative that the Seahawks are going to move Russ. Pete Carroll will be 71 at the start of the season, hard to believe he has the time or patience for a rebuild of the magnitude implied by trading his starting QB.

It's only a rumor because the Eagles have the assets to get a trade done. Most media speculation is 98% BS. The other assumptions is the fact SEA doesn't have a lot of cap space and with an older QB and other older players plus players who need to be paid now it's worth more trading them and rebuilding and acquiring assets. I think they go one more year before Pete the Cheat retires.

My point is we want a QB to reach the next level of success right? Well Russel Wilsons playoff numbers don't say that to me since 2013. Wilson also played in an incredible weak division for yrs outside of SF awhile back. Once SEA got legit comp in the division they were exposed. The defense carried their little success with Marshawn. This isn't saying Russel Wilson is the worst QB (That distinction clearly goes to Cam Newtown the last 2 decades), but I'm not spending draft capital on a guy who's 5 months younger then me with a huge cap hit. This team just isn't ready for that type of QB nor do I think for what we are expecting giving up that amount for Wilson isn't worth it considering his lack of success in the post season since 9 or so yrs ago. Wilson is a good QB. And since we're on playoff record lets be fair he should be be at .500 because I think most of us believe had Carson not gotten cheap shot in that playoff game the Eagles win. 

And I've said for yrs now Drew Brees is a good QB he's had some terrible defenses over the yrs. NO was always horrible with the cap as well. For as good of a HC Sean Payton was at times he was terrible as GM. I've also said change Peyton and Tom Brady from Indy and NE respectively and I think Peyton wins the two Giants SBs at the very least and I think TB12 has a few less SBs. For the most part Brady has always had one part of his team who was always really great Defense, for most of the time, depending on the yrs he's had a lot better weapons then some QBs, In TB he had everything from a TE to WRs, O-Line, The defense etc. It was kind of a perfect match for them. Peyton had a great support staff in Den until the entire team decided to collectively #### the bed in 2013 in the SB. 

A lot of people are putting Wilson on this pedestal right now and going with trade 2 or all of the 1s for Wilson and figure out the rest later. Meanwhile if you look hard at Wilsons success in the playoffs in the last 9 yrs that doesn't tell me he's worth those picks. Eagles need the cap and the picks. Go get our own guy who can hopefully be here for a decade or longer. In 2016 we all thought we had that in Wentz which unfortunately wasn't true. Either way not sure why everyone continues to talk about it because it's all bull#### from the media who 98% of the time don't have a clue what they are talking about. They are just basing assumptions off the fact the Eagles have assets or these QBs, they have a QB question mark and would like to upgrade. However knowing how Roseman operates he's not going to go out and make trades like a drunken sailor and mortgage the future on a mid 30s QB with an astronomical cap number for a team still rebuilding. We weren't anywhere close to as good as our record was. Our QB isn't great and probably is a back up but he also didn't play poorly enough either nor is the team in a position where they desperately need to upgrade.

It's only worth a chance because we aren't in a win now scenario and he's cheap. We really didn't beat anyone good last year either and Hurts didn't do enough for them to be desperate for a replacement.

this is where it still gives me pause on Hurts as our guy beyond a bridge guy, he is through and through a run first QB. he's shown this again and again, his presence in the pocket is very very poor compared to his mobility skills. i believe QB's who succeed long term are not this, they are pass first and run enough to keep the play alive guys. Kyler Murray comes to mind as a comp in this sense, despite the awesomeness he displays year in year out and all of the Pro Bowl selections, he's not worth the top dollars he will receive soon. I can't imagine Hurts, or Kyler for that matter, changing so much as a player that they become that guy who can play the pocket game and lean on their athleticism as the secondary move. they just aren't wired that way and qb's like this can't take advantage of the talent around them.

There's never gonna be another Randall Cunningham. Randall was yrs before his time. I also think overall he was a much better passer and QB overall then the Vick's/Lamar's etc too. Randall benefitted from defensive players not being athletic as they are now. Randall could out run DL and most LBs and today Most LBs can catch up to a Lamar or Hurts, or Vick. Every sport and person has somewhat of an ego but there's egos out there thinking they got the Next Randall Cunningham when the reality is you can not recreate that ever again.

Malik Willis is the next media scout darling who won't be as successful in this league. He's a poor man's Hurts with just a better arm and the same issues hurts currently has. Some one did an advanced research on him and his advanced performance in college was worse than Hurts. I'm by no means a Hurts fan but Gun to my Head I'm taking Hurts over Willis anytime. I want nothing to do with Watson at all. Either get me a bridge gap Veteran QB, stay with Hurts or draft your guy if someone either falls this year or get them in 23.

I'll run the draft prediction contest again this year, but for now I'm thinking the most likely pick to get traded is actually 15. With back-to-backs, if you trade the first one to a team that you know isn't trading up to get your guy, you still get your guy at 16 and save a bit on the contract and the 5th year option cap hit for 1st rounders. It also brings you the highest return (there's anywhere from a 45 to 175 point difference in 15 vs 19 depending on the draft value chart you look at.) And DE is deep this year so there still could be good ones on the board at 19 if they didn't use 16 for one.

Denver cant develop any qbs so I guess this is what they feel they have to do.  but man Elway is gonna take heat if/when this doesn't work and they are stuck with an old crappy Wilson and no drafts picks for the next 2 years

Dang I'm happy we didn't pull this deal for Wilson. That's a hell of a lot of loot for a player arguably at the plateau of his career.

This might be unpopular opinion but I've kinda low key hoping we would sign Matty Ice. Our O-line gives us a lot of flexibility. 

I honestly don't like how many teams feel like you must have a dual threat QB when it's been pocket passers winning effin Super Bowls.
