Chances we see Wentz are virtually zero now.

Give me OBJ. I know some won't like the personality but he looked hungry in LAR last year and if we sign him he has extra motivation playing the Giants 2 times this year. if He does well you sign him long term to a team friendly deal hopefully and rid yourself of Greg Ward. OBJ is the veteran WR.

Confirmed schedule leaks:

Week 1 - @DET 1pm

Week 2 - MIN (MNF) 8:30pm

Week 16 - @DAL (Saturday/Xmas eve)

Unconfirmed, but good sources:

Week 7 BYE

Week 9 - @HOU (TNF)

Week 10 - WFT (MNF)

Last year was weird. Right coach but the Owner couldn't get past the fact Wentz wasn't vaccinated despite Indy have the highest unvaccinnated % in the league. it was a weird obsession and it sounds like Isray was setting everyone up to fail. After Ryan fails in Indy this season Reich and Ballard are gone. It just wasn't a great overall situation. Isray just can't get over the fact Luck isn't coming back to save the franchise.
I dunno, they gave up a 1st (16th overall) and a 3rd to get him. Seems like a lot to just run a guy out of town after one year. WRT the bolded, mission accomplished in Wentz's case.

Maybe Wentz can learn to how to be a leader in Washington. His 3rd team in 3 years.

The trade would've went through sooner but Isray needed to be convinced because he was still trying to get Luck back. Isray has this infatuation that Luck will eventually come back and save the franchise. I've heard Isray is too hands on and his drinking and pill popping isn't helping matters. Ballard's "Wentz would've been released if we didn't find a trade partner" comment is just more of a GM on his last legs. If they don't make the playoffs this year Ballard and Reich I think both are fired.

The team had a lot of other holes they didn't fix last year. Their Receiving corps most would be 3-4 guys on other teams. Their TE's not great. Legit RB but other then that their Offensive line was incredible shaky and had a ton of holes. It was one of the things when I talked to Indy fans or people in the know that was a huge concern they didn't fix. Defensively they had major depth issues especially secondary and we saw that in the Baltimore game.

Before Wentz got there a lot of concern was on Frank Reich. Wasn't aggressive at times he needed to be or lost games they easily should've won. The Baltimore game comes to mind. The whole team in Jacksonville quit and it looked like they quit on Reich too. Anyone else not Isray would've canned Frank Reich after that. I know I would've and maybe Ballard too.

Carson did contribute to a few losses but there is a lot more important issues before I even start blaming Wentz

As for the bolded people can say this as much as they want. But everywhere he's gone numerious teammates have come up to his defense. I'm gonna believe a TY Hilton, Kelce, Cox over some blogger and a lot of the Indy writings just seemed to regurgitated copy and paste stuff. Really the only thing "leadership" wise I heard and I'm not sure I'd put it in that category is people think he's one of those fake religious christians. One of those who does stuff with the church etc to make himself look good. Said in the past I had a friend I knew wasn't very religious. I asked him why he helped the church and all. He said it Makes me look better and it's a great tax deductible if you are lucky to get it. I know things like that bother some players. Some have speculated Wentz is an introvert and only keeps a small circle of friends.

Look, you can defend Wentz all you want (and you will) but the fact remains that its now two QB needy teams sent him packing in two years. He's on his third chance - he probably won't get a fourth so he needs to make it work in Washington.

Depends on needs.  Julio and Fuller can be told to run down the field and catch the ball if they arent injured constantly (stretch the field). Beasley moves the chains.  OBJ and Landry to some extent are wildcards who give you a lot of flexibility. Sanders needs to retire.

I agree to an extent but that above group is gonna be in the 1 year 5 million or less range at this point. If that keeps Ward, Pasqual or Reagor off the field I'm all in at this point. Im down with upgrades anywhere if theyre cheap and dont keep young talent off the field.

Indy, GB, Ten looks like the roughest stretch, but 2 of those areat home, and these 3 games are sandwiched in between very winnable games on both ends. I see this as a very favorable schedule, could be 11-12 wins.

It's a good schedule.  Week 11-16 isn't overly easy though.

Short week then @ Indy
Then Green Bay
Then Tennessee
Then 3 in a row on the road.

@The Noid trying to decide between week 6, 8, or 10 to come for a game this year.  How wild are Cowboys games usually?  Ticket prices jacked up?  Steelers tix also pricey/hard to get due to their fans?

Week 10 vs WAS is your best bet for ticket availability and reasonable prices. Not a marquee team and a Monday night in the middle of November. Tons of fans/season ticket holders will be looking to unload that game, especially since it will be the 3rd of 4 night games at home. And Wentz will probably be hurt or benched by then so might not even have the "return of Carson" factor!

PIT being a 1pm, with the way Philly-area Steeler fans (and Pittsburgh fans that take the 6 hour drive) show up, is going to have higher prices and less availability for the "good" seats. No matter what the game, unless it's a playoff game, if you don't care where you sit you'll always be able to find something reasonable, especially within the days before the game.

Even though DAL is a night game, it's still a Sunday against a huge division rival so fans will have all day to tailgate. It would definitely be the best gameday atmosphere and experience of the 3 options, and probably in the middle of WAS and PIT as far as prices for most seats, maybe even a bit higher for the prime locations.

So helpful as always.  Probably will aim for that Cowboys game.

The amount of Primetime games per team. Source

5: CIN, LAC, LAR, BUF, PHI, TB, GB, DAL, SF, NE, PIT, DEN, KC
4: TEN, IND, LV, ARZ
3: CHI, NO, BAL
2: CLE, WSH, MIA, SEA, MIN
1: NYJ, NYG, HOU, JAX, CAR, ATL
0: DET

Detroit gonna be mad as hell week 1.

FYI, and for anyone else looking, Eagles tickets are already on sale. Just go to Ticketmaster and filter to "Verified Ticket from the Eagles".

There still may be more released later at a publicized "on sale" date, but the pricing might be the same, or less. And season ticket holders were able to start listing their tickets for sale as of this morning.

I usually wait till the week of the game sometimes day before or day of. I got really good tickets to the SEA game where we had the 5 Turnovers day of game. Guy next to us how much we paid as they were a buddy of his tickets and was shocked he sold so low. This was Doug's final year though too but still. Usually unless it's a really big game I wait till day of or a few days before a game to get tickets. Sometimes a buddy of mine might see tickets day of. Only problem is he won't spend big on an Eagles game but has zero issue spending on a 76ers which we all know I won't do.

It'd be easy just to buy seats from my Uncle but with my aunt around theres no family friendly discount which annoys some of my family including my mom and her other siblings at times. This is more so my Pop-Pop had the tickets for yrs for his business a whole row and I use to just go to games or my mom would come with us if an extra ticket or 2 was available. I got to go since I was the closes of the grandsons to them and old enough so timing worked. My Cousin lived like 35Mins in the opposite direction and not old enough to be taking public transit down so either his Dad who has the tickets now went or my Cousin got to go to the Dal games. The other issue is my Aunt and Uncle live a pretty luxurious life compared to most of us. Not millionaires but they have a 6 figure house up in the more wealthy area of Bucks county so they can more then afford a family discount if they wanted too.

Don't get me wrong my 2 cousins and I get along great and he's even told me if it was up to him he'd give me a discount or go for free. I got no other issues with my Uncle and he loves talking about new beers and stuff with me. With me working in a beer garden he's interested in my work and stuff. The Eagles tickets are just a small issue.

What are the odds of getting seats cheaper within a day or two before the game, instead of now?  Always been too scared to wait until last min for tickets since I have to fly to get there and book hotels.... but is it pretty much a lock to risk it and find better deal seats that close to the game?  (Especially talking about the Dallas SNF game)

They get the Thanksgiving 1pm game by default every year, with a national audience, so they have nothing to complain about!

I hate Dal but there's been talk over the years of moving Dal from the traditional 4PM slot and giving other teams a chance. If I were them I'd be pissed that DET who's been less successful isn't discussed in this and I think the last couple of yrs there's been talks of rotating those 2 games each year where one team plays Thanksgiving and the other doesn't and then the one who didn't the next year has a game while the other is a normal slot. Given I believe they'd added another game or 2 on Thanksgiving I think those talks have died down though.

Prices always drop closer to the game (and are always highest right after the schedule comes out), the catch is that the selection is hit or miss that close to the game so if you don't care where you sit and want to save $$, then day before/day of (especially for a night game where you have all day for good deals to pop up) is the way to go. I have never seen a gameday without a few hundred tickets still up for sale, so there's no risk you won't get it in, it's just a matter of what they're going for where. Even the team will release tickets Friday before up to day of (usually in the Mezzanine sections, from the opponent allotment that they didn't use, or unsold group tickets), but a few years ago they switched to dynamic pricing which basically means they price them closer to the resale market instead of face value, like they used to.

If you want somewhere specific, set a budget and start checking prices in June and you'll likely see something come up that you can jump on well before the game, as long as your budget is reasonable. For upper levels for that game, $125-$150 per for upper level (before fees) would be a good deal when buying early. Lower level corners or end zones $175-$200, lower level sidelines $250-$300, club level $325-$350.

Nice.  I've never flown somewhere without tickets and just hoped for the best, but think I'm gonna do that for the Dallas game.  Might backfire if both teams are 4-1 at that point, but you make it sound like the best deals will be day before the game, and that there will for sure be seats then, so gonna risk it!

Dallas will be 0-2 going into week 3

The 2022 Saints have a chance to beat all five bird teams in one season. Something that has never been done!
Source

The Saints will play the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1 and Week 15. They will play the Seattle Seahawks at home in Week 5. They face the Arizona Cardinals two weeks later for Thursday Night Football. They get the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9, and they get the Philadelphia Eagles on New Year’s Day Week 17. That’s every bird team in the NFL and surprisingly enough, no team has ever beaten all five in the same season.

That would be so wicked if this is on the line when we play the Saints!

They'll lose before that. Winston might not be ready for the opening of the season and a lot of their guys they either lost key guys in FA or retirement and didn't sufficiently replace them. I see them as a .5OO team so the chances of them doing this isn't in their favor.

Back in 1980, my uncle and a bunch of his friends took a Winnebago to New Orleans for the Superbowl.  None of them had tickets.  While they were tailgating, a lady offered up free tickets so my uncle got into the game.

I sell my tickets on NFL Ticket Exchange, I'll never go below face for my tickets.  I'd rather use them at that point or give them to a friend.

To be fair.....how many times has a team played all five bird teams in the same year? We could have 200 seasons with current teams and I bet no more then a dozen shots at this, so odds of it ever happening are pretty low.

Seems like a huge bet of some kind that should be taking wagers..
