2022 Philadelphia Eagles - Leave Gannon in Arizona and let’s run through the NFC again in 2023. (4 Viewers)

from what i recall, the rap at the time was that he was brought in to play a totally different scheme and it really didn't fit his skill set.  also supposedly a bit of introvert and maybe never could quite get comfortable with the new team.
I agree with this. Sometimes corners that thrive in man are brought into zone bases (or vice versa) and never quite earn their keep the same — didn’t something similar happen with Revis?

it's complete black and white, i think i would have liked some green in there, like the outline inside the white or something. personally i like the standard midnight green ones better, but i'm sure some people will love this.

It will probably all look cool when it's game day. I was curious though what the black helmets would like if the Eagles went with a flat black and instead of the eagle wings just use our new main stream logo kinda like the GIANTS used on their helmets before.

I'd have maybe liked an actual Eagles head on there maybe it's cool though

Philadelphia and Lincoln Financial Field to Host WRESTLEMANIA 4O April 2O24

25 yrs since the the last Wrestlemania that saw a H*LL IN A CELL Match between Ministry Undertaker and Big Boss Man who was "Hung" on top of the Cage by The Brood after Taker Won. 24 is also significant in Philly as it's the Late Kobe Bryant's number during his playing career. Kobe grew up and went to school about 15 Mins from me and former Coach Andy Reid his kids went to the same HS as Kobe.

As of right now I'd probably only go to the HOF and Maybe RAW given how Rowdy it can be. A lot in WWE can change especially right now from now till then.

Philly has been on the shortlist of places last few yrs and a lot of people including wrestling fans in the area have wondered with NYC and LA getting so many Mania's Summerslam's Etc when we'd be on the last. Last Major Event was the Royal Rumble when they were having the Mix Match challenge. WWE announce through the Philly Inquire and Paul E Heyman inJune Philly was getting Extreme Rules in OCT of this year.

Big revenue burst for Philly and The Eagles here too.

Here's what to expect in the pre-season:

7/27 - 8/13: 10 training camp practices (including the public one 8/7 @ The Linc), 4 walk-throughs (tomorrow is the first one), 4 days off.

8/12: Preseason game vs. Jets

8/18 - 8/19: Joint practices with CLE

8/21: Preseason game @ CLE

8/24 - 8/25: Joint practices with MIA

8/27: Preseason game @ MIA

I absolutely love the teams we are doing joint practices with.

Outside of the Watson thing Cleveland has a very good team. Miami has some talent that should make for some interesting matchups as well.

Tua, Hurts, Waddle, Smith all together will be fun

CLE has a good defense.

MIA has a better defense then some think and with better coaching their Offense has some pieces there to become good. However both are just terrible run organizations that will hold them back. This Watson thing sets the Browns back by a ton.

When Jeff Stoutland retires a statue needs to be erected at The Linc maybe one with Kelce and Lane standing on either Side.

Mental health is no joke. Lane was dealing with a lot of issues and in '19 he and and his wife separated after 6 yrs together and was going through some stuff from that which popped back up. Certain things trigger these reactions at times. Being a former HS athlete to a degree not being fully healthy sucks and can be mentally draining. The only game I was ever pulled early from in a baseball start was because I was battling some GI Thing I thought I had under control. Was in tears because of it. Promised myself I'd never let that happen again. Had a buddy who missed his senior year of football do to an injury and he felt horrible. Went through some stuff mentally himself.

Fans, media and others think injuries are all physical but they are just as much mental as that. Its a sick feeling when you feel you let the team down or can't do anything to stop something. Got a feeling Wentz went through this with his injuries the final years here.

Based on Practice tweets and all yesterday it sounds like Hurts had another brutal practice. Started off good but then got really shaky. Not sure if its cause for concern yet. I also don't know Hurts' practice history like is he good at practice or not.

Also interesting Gainwell was taking 1st team snaps while Sanders was the #1. Should be interesting to see how that looks this year. If Gainwell is taking most snaps during games you know how the Eagles feel about Miles Sanders long term.

I'll be at camp on Monday. Will report back on the important things the beats don't cover, like what flavor Rita's were they handing out and who half-aszed it through stretching drills.

Come on no report on what Tunes they are playing while practicing? That's stuff we NEED TO KNOW

Talk to the beat guy I know today as he came in the store. Said it's hard to find any legit sources anymore as a lot of people are tight lipped around the league anymore. A lot what gets reported now is just straight up BS. No one had the Eagles in on AJ Brown. Only news of AJ to the Eagles was just fans speculating based on Hurts and him training together in the offseason and such.

Fantasy Talk.

Is it just me or do some RB handcuffs present more value (ADP) this year than any year prior? Some of these pairs I could see myself started both backs.

GB - Jones/Dillion
DAL - Elliot/Pollard
LV - Jacobs/Drake
NO - Kamara/Ingram
DEN - Williams/Gordon

PHI - Sanders/Gainwell

Even though I am very good at not being a homer in redraft. I'm loving the Sander/Gainwell pairing from an ADP stand point.

Water ice flavors: Blue Raspberry, Mango, Swedish Fish, Juicy Pear, Watermelon. Fletcher Cox was definitely the least engaged during the warm-ups and stretching, and the music was pretty low, barely audible from the fields, and mostly the type of music you would hear on hold for your doctor.

Miles Sanders broke a big run on one of the first run plays and he kept running after the whistle right toward the media that was behind the end zone and pointed at them, pretty much to say, "Write that I just had the run while with the first team."

Jordan Davis is a behemoth. Not just tall but also wide and bulk. With the beef eater hats on their helmets it makes him look like Andre the Giant out there around the 89 other guys (including Malaita.) He was dominating the second team offensive line, too.

Andre Dillard got beat badly a couple times by second-team D-lineman and also had a false start.

Reagor got stripped after catching a short pass. He was third on punt returns behind Gainwell and Covey, but ahead of Devon Allen.

Minshew threw two picks, one was awful and the other was a wobbly pass that got deflected once then batted before the defense came up with it.

Didn't see a lot from Devonta Smith. Caught one pass that I saw. AJ Brown was targeted a bunch and had some easy catches.

Hurts underthrew a wide open Goddert who was streaking deep and had to slow up for it, which allowed the defender to break it up. There were 3 called QB runs for Hurts, all on first downs.

No red zone work in today's session.

Went to open Practice last night

With both LT and then Clark now out Hurts didn't practice much. Had a really good TD throw to AJ Brown with a guy blanketing him. On the competition Defense vs Offense Hurts took sack and also scrambled on two plays I felt he had ample time to scan the field. This may have been one of his better practices

Allen and Covey could really be our return specialist this year. Both have some unfair speed.

J-JAW had a fantastic catch from Minshew

Didn't see a lot of Carson Strong and Reed Stinnet took a lot of reps.

Jason Huntley had an impressive practice. I think I saw more touches from him Brooks and Kenny G. Miles had a few touches but few and far between.

Jordan Davis is a beast and TV don't do him our Jordan Mailata justice on their size. Both move over 3OO LBs guys with ease

White and Dean were all over the field on pass coverage. White made 2 consecutive PDF's at one point.

Defense was still impressive. his is the first year I'm super excited about them in years

AJ Brown has unfair size. He also bounces when he runs which is why he has terrific change of direction.

Reagor is absolutely buried on the depth chart.

Jacked for the season to start. Everything seems to be all positive so far. We all know everything hinges upon Jalen taking that step we want to see from him in his progression as a QB. But man, there are A LOT of other great things going on, Cam Jurgens seems legit, Jordan Davis is definitely seeming legit (that video of him crushing down on Jurgens went viral viral), James Bradberry is *very* good and man, AJ Brown is so damn good its kind of scary, he and Jalen are going to inject a ton of energy into the team and will be a very very good 1-2 combo, maybe a top 5 connection in the league this year. Hyperbole? I'm not sure. BG is back! Dude is going 100 MPH on every rep and apparently looks like the old BG. Sweat hopefully will improve and if the developmental guys also take steps, this D Line is going to be so so good. Moving Reddick all over the place + mixing looks on the DL will cause the league a lot of issues. Also, we are probably not trading Dillard unless we get something REALLY nice. I just don't see a suitable guy to fill in for backup LT if a disaster happens and Mailata goes down for a while. Feeling really good vibes so far, no major injuries etc (Devonta sitting out a few practices b/c of groin right NOW is not a big deal to me).

Lets keep it going!

Kelce is having surgery on the elbow. Hope is that he is back for the opener. Depending on how much has to be “cleaned out”, could be anywhere from 2-6 weeks recovery time.

Kobe grew up and went to school about 15 Mins from me and former Coach Andy Reid his kids went to the same HS as Kobe.

I thought Kobe went to Lower Merion and the Reid kids went to Harriton. Same township, different schools.

Yep you are right. I I get the schools mixed up. My Cousin coached his youngest in Wrestling at the time his other two kids were having issues. Andy invited him to the SB when the team went but My cousin politely declined. Told him teachers couldn't accept those kinds of gifts from students parents. He also told him his kids wouldn't appreciate his language at him for his bad 3rd down calls and clock management. Andy apparently had a good laugh about it.

Tami and Andy did a lot for the township school district though.

Tim McManus said from what he's heard he should be back by Season Opener on 9/11

Watched HBO's Hard Knocks last night. Detriot going with that GRIT mentality to finish games which yes they need that.

Dan Cambell has assembled some interesting coaches and assistants that were previous players. It's almost a full player turned coach program.

I liked the show but DET has a long way to go...

Hard Knock's is a great primer for our season opener.

With Kielce out this gives a lot of vialble reps to Cam Jurgens. Be interesting to see how much time they give him with Kelce out though in preseason.

Just a heads up. For those of you with sensitive eyes I know the board seems a bit more bright now. Next to the search function is a dark mode which makes the background a light grey and black. Tried it myself and I think it's better for me.

we should destroy the lions
Shouldn't be worried about this game but I am for some reason.

Statement game for them since they got no prime time games, should be a greatly improved offense, Duce game, etc. We are def the better team but it feels like a weird one.

Surprised no one is commenting on the game. Can't watch since I'm at a concert. Heard Hurts took a big hit but looked good.

Pretty vanilla offense and defense. He made a nice throw to the sideline to Quez. Took a bad late hit that Sirianni was fuming on and Saleh looked like he was pretty upset with his guy. Dean and Davis made a nice team up play. Also NFL+ is garbage so far. Really slow to load, and a lot of other things

Knew they were gonna pull Hurts after the first drive after the way it went. Perfect drive (even overcame some penalties), plus a really late hit that had every fuming - that had the potential to get ugly.
Then Zach Wilson goes down, oof.

Hurts looked pretty good n the one series he played. The play he took the cheap hit OOB, he left the pocket too early and scrambled to his right. He made some good throws, though.

Jordan Davis looks like he is going to be a really amazing player. Dean looked OK. The real star of the first half was Cam Jurgens; he looked like baby Kelce out there.

Unless I missed something Eagles came out of tonight with no injuries. Only one I knew of was Convey but he had his hand/wrist retapped and was back in there right away.

Just watched the replay of the opening drive. They looked very good. I imagine we won't be seeing Hurts in any game action until Detroit now.
