2022 Philadelphia Eagles - Leave Gannon in Arizona and let’s run through the NFC again in 2023. (2 Viewers)

Or Raegor. You take him and I’ll be happy again

PLEASE PICK RAEGOR

PLEASE!!!!!

Not totally sold on reagor but he has a higher upside than Jefferson I would say

I’m all good now. Huge to get him staying pat. Big need and a good young WR to grow with Wentz.

Not a fan of takes like this. Look at the first 20 picks. There’a always guys who go that “could have been had later if you listened to people”

His tape and speed are what we need.

Raegors speed on the field is second to none. We need that.

Jefferson is surrounded by studs across the board. Nothing he does stands out and he seems almost ordinary.

Raegors speed on tape is elite.
:lmao: Not laughing at the take, because anybody can say down the road that it was bad. Just so funny to read such pure excitement and joy about him lol

So are people just going to forget we just gave up a 1st rounder next year in the deal too or was that a mistake by NFL.com when I saw it on my phone?
For Reagor? No we did not give up a first rounder. Always assume NFL.com is wrong.

Thanks I was not a fan of that at all if that was the case. Trade now makes more sense then. I thought Howie pulled a dam NBA trade of getting guy with bad contract off the books and sending the other team a 1st and 2nd rounders packaged with said player.

Jefferson to Vikings one pick after us. If Reagor isn't the best WR between Jefferson, Reagor, and Lamb, Howie really ####ed up

I’m so confused.

Hope he’s not another JJAW.

I really wanted Lamb.

I'm not going to name them all, but there were at least a dozen players I would have taken over Reagor. Three are WR.

They have need at LB, S, WR. There were some stud Safeties and LB still there especially.

Do we really only have 4 WR's right now?

Brown
Smith
Quez
Pascal

Who else?

How Howie would it be to go sign JJAW for the minimum now lol
I can see them bringing back Allen or Covey to return punts. Can also see them using the spot on bringing back Tartt. So who knows.
Of those two, Allen please. Covey didn’t do much in the actual games to impress me as a WR, and a specialist PR who doesn’t otherwise contribute needs to be a Devin Hester level returner and I didn’t see that from him.

Wasn't meaning to make fun, anyone could have said the same as this wasn't that predictable. Just thought they were funny to look back on and see the excitement.

Hester? High standards bro. I just want him to not fumble

Maybe 🤣 Just don't think Covey brings much as a WR and not a good enough returner to be a gameday active just for that. Let's settle on a RB with some return chops and fill 2 needs at once.

Free agent LT Jason Peters is visiting the Cowboys Wednesday.

Don't do it big guy!

2011 Jason Peters is the best offensive linemen I've ever watched. It's like the last season of The Office with him at this point though.
For Philly fans of a certain age this would be like Steve Carlton on the Twins. More sad having to watch him get abused than anything to do with him having a star on his helmet. .

Don't even need to go out of sport. Harold Carmichael played a season for the Cowboys. He only got in 2 games and had 1 catch but he wore the uniform.

I do wonder how hard he worked. Teams don't give up on 3rd round picks in their 2nd year usually.
True. I think they found a gem in Mitchell though and he was expendable and didn't fit their offense at all.
Not saying he's great, but as a 4th RB in a Howard role, I'm okay with that. When most teams carry 10 RB/WR on their 53, and we currently had SIX, then I'm good with him here

This here. I really like this pick up. Seems from what I hear Gainwell has been VERY underwhelming. We are going all in baby!

There's a reason he just got cut
Didn't fit Shanny's scheme AT ALL. Not the kind of runner that works there.

I think he works really nicely here in that Howard role.

Yeah there's a reason he was let go. I hope he works out but I'd have rather of seen what Brooks could do or bring Howard back. This is why I wanted another RB in the draft.

And Sanders seems to have some kind of soft tissue injury every year that takes 4 games off him at least
Yep... I think we definitely needed 4 RB's given our situation.... so the Serman signing makes a lot of sense.

WR I think we really need to sign someone though or are we waiting for Beckham to get healthy 😂
😂 😂

Twitter also saying that Philly was talking trade with the Niners last week and the Niners walked away...and eventually cut him.

Makes you wonder what's going on in that SF front office?

this is a kid who needs a supportive and healthy team atmosphere to succeed at the level he eventually did in college and SF was the literal opposite of that for him

Shanahan resented the pick from day 1 and they essentially just screwed the kid over by sucking at workplace communication

Im rooting for him to bounce back from all this and will be on the lookout for solid locker room interviews in Philly that could be helpful in trying to figure his determination and resilience after getting hung out to dry as soon as he entered the league

(my sources for all this are Matt Waldman, sermons very limited but slightly revealing tweets, and familiarity with his family history and Shanahan’s dislike of him vs GM cheerleading)
Hearing lots of this stuff about Shanny kind of ostracizing him from the moment he was drafted. Also seems weird that SF wouldn't take our draft pick offer for him, and then dropped him days later. I actually really like this signing now as there seems to be a lot more going on here than just 'he sucks'. Let's at least see what he can do, we can always cut him if he doesn't show promise.

I like the signing, we needed another RB.

Most teams carry 4 RBs + 6 WRs. We had 3 RBs + 3 WRs.

Why I was disappointed we didn't take an RB in the draft. Everyone was like were deep at RB no issues. Miles is hurt every year with some kind of soft tissue injury.

game scripts and usage aside, i think we were deep last year in what this team expects from the RB room. add to that Hurts' running ability and not drafting a RB was correct imo. you mentioned Howard earlier, I agree with that take and was also hoping they re-sign him or we find another guy like him, a bigger bruiser, and now we got one. I never watched Sermon play, but size wise he's a Howard clone and he's still a young prospect so very optimistic here. It's not like we ever used a RB as a workhorse even when Miles was healthy anyway, which obviously wasn't often. Between Hurts and Smith there's enough young ego here to drown out whatever chip Sermon has on his shoulders too, I think. On paper this is a great match, swipe right. Or left, I actually dunno how that works.

From what little I've read, the issue with Sermon is not being decisive enough and running north south (similar to Sanders at times). So don't think he's the bruiser back they still need, but more of a fill-in if/when Sanders get hurt.

He's more signs of them not believing in Miles or could be hurt more. Didn't see this till just tonight when I finally had down time but we signed Former Jets and Gator RB Lamicheal Perine to the practice Squad. He's 5-11 but a power back who can also catch out of the Backfield. They have Kennedy Brooks also on the PS and signed Sermon. Something is up with Miles IMHO.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Eagles like their other backs that Miles gets traded by the deadline this year no matter where the team is at. Especially if they get a higher draft pick then the comp for letting him walk.
