2022 Philadelphia Eagles - Leave Gannon in Arizona and let’s run through the NFC again in 2023. (1 Viewer)

smh
i love that some of these videos are getting so much attn. it is hilarious she is complaining because some people said the F word around her, and some drunk idiot said something about her plane crashing. In all honesty, she should be happy the Eagles won in a blow-out. All of these monstrous stories would have been filled with a little more content if the Eagles lost that game.

and it is just funny it is against the 49ers team and fanbase. As the Crossing Broad guys point out, these are the same fans that recently shot a Raiders fan because he wore an F 49ers shirt, and stabbed a Falcons fan after the 49ers won.

https://www.crossingbroad.com/2023/...never-go-back-to-lincoln-financial-field.html

it is all silly, and my guess/hope is that the authors of all these videos, etc. didn't know this would all blow up and this is more due to the sports media not having stories to write about yet so they go the lowest common denominator. and grrr if it doesn't work and i have clicked on way too many of these things today :bag:

We got more from crossing broad today. Andre Chanchere wife called her soft and now we find out Werners wife was on the bachelor a few years ago and got caught in a lie that a former HS classmate called into question. What did she lie about? Glad you asked. Pulling the usual race card saying she was bullied including racially at her Alabama HS for being biracial.

Crossing broad isn't really journalism anymore. They wanted it to become more of the barstool takes and personally I hate Barstool as I think Mike Portney is an *******, anti Union, and there's been a ton of issues of sexual harassment from the male employees to the small amount of females. Also Barstool has a tendency to take videos without asking from people online and claiming it's theirs. The next time they are reported for stolen video their twitter account is banned. Either way I could do without the barstool antics in my philly media. I stay away from that site like the plague. Also when Ed Snider died one of their employees made fun of it.

Either way this article was more of less opposing team player wife is salty about loss so overreacts and instantly goes to Philly fans are bad card. I bet if they won she'd be singing a different tune.

The truth lies in the middle. The schedule turned out to be more difficult then projected, but perhaps the highest win % part is a little misleading due to a lack of overall depth in the NFC this year (inflating the records of teams like Washington, NYG, and Minnesota?)

I'm here on this it's a bit misleading Win % wise. Giants Commanders and Vikings were all frauds. We all know Minny is good when the pressure isn't on and should've lost the Indy game. How Jeff Saturday is still in position to possible coach in Indy is beyond me after that. I don't see a few of the teams we played this year being as good next year and I think it's contributed to the lack of solid teams in the NFC and some of these teams were "just good enough" to take advantage of that.

This sounds like Gannon is definitely staying next year because what I heard was if Gannon had Left Fangio would've came in and replaced him.

@AdamSchefter

After speaking with multiple teams about their defensive coordinator position, Vic Fangio has decided to join the Dolphins as their defensive coordinator and officially will accept the position on the Miami staff after the Super Bowl.

I am at a point, where if I see any more players/media types go something like "Anyone could have coached/QB'd this team and get 14 wins" where if we win the Super Bowl, I'm automatically going to use those takes as a vaulting point to "Well, this is definitely a top 5, 3, greatest team of all time, right?" takes.

Now we got some Giants player "Sirianni is on a free ride"

Right right. Gotta love the revisionist history. I just want someone/anyone to link me an article preseason, given everything we allegedly "know" - the obvious stuff:

Best roster in the league/super team
Easiest schedule ever made for a team
Greatest offensive line of the past 10 years
Obvious 2 top 10 WR's

And with all these "givens" show me something that goes sorta like

"Given how great this team is and how easy the schedule is, this team is obviously winning the division and will compete for a title"

But its not there.

Eagles went 9-1 against winning teams this year. This has only happened twice in the history of the NFL. They did so by an average winning margin of 17 points. The narrative that they had an easy schedule is so wrong its crazy.

Which part of that schedule wasn’t easy?

And before anyone goes off the rails, I’m not saying that the Eagles aren’t a good team.
But to continue saying the schedule wasn’t easy is …….cmon man
This argument is tired. Let's talk about something new. How do you like the Cowboys' chances to win next Sunday?
Excellent! Never heard that one before
No, I don't imagine you would have. Hard to hear the new jokes when you're keeping yourself in a 1996 time bubble, from the last time your team was relevant.
That’s all you got lol?

Sleep on it, maybe you’ll come up with something original tomorrow big guy
Sleep on this, but I'd be wide awake at these prospects:
Defending Dak INTs for the next decade
Repeating over and over "Well when Jerry is gone we'll have a REAL chance"
Looking back at the memory bank, the great years when you beat the champs, albeit it was Gardner Minshew.
Telling yourself "Zeke was a good pick man, but the contract was even better"

Or you can keep coming in here like your buddies that go "5 rings" and turn that repetition into "Eagles had an easy schedule"

A life to live that no one would envy.

You sound like a complete lunatic. This is a football entertainment sport. These are other grown men you’re fawning over and defending.

But your metric, every team has an easy schedule. Half of our games were played against teams with winning records and/or made the playoffs. And to be clear, we didn't just beat these teams, we trucked them. I mean, for real, the last time we played meaningful football in the fourth quarter was what, Indianapolis? That was in November! 10 weeks ago (including two playoff game).

Apart from the Cardinals, Texans and Bears, I wouldn't call any of the other teams "easy".
8-1 against this year's playoff teams.
Yeah, lol.

Try again
We are trying again, no? In the Super Bowl. That what team that make and then win the conference championship play in, in case you (understandably) weren't familiar.

You guys haven’t won a second SB yet. Did you really think that insult through?

I think he’s done a great job. I don’t know how long his shtick will last but I have said before that he’s an extremely talented offensive mind.

He does seem like a madman. That’s not an issue when you’re winning.

We can all agree that any harassment of Bosa is not only warranted but also encouraged.
We know Jordan Mailata harassed him.
that is the supposed DPOY, while the legit candidate taught the 49ers team why he should have at least been in the conversation

Good gawd I love your OLine.
No kidding. I have O-line envy.

The Eagles could win this just running 65 times.

I recognize I am a lunatic, comparatively speaking to most other fans. I hope you recognize we are on the same boat though.

Jonathan Gannon is officially one of us.
No salary cap on coaches. Been saying this since the cap was invented.
I think too often guys just want to be a head coach and it isn't a money thing. When you find that rare guy who wants to stay a coordinator and is actually good at it, then yes by god you pay them! Eagles have that with the oline coach, Jeff Soutland. One of the best in the NFL and survived two coaching changes. Hoping he stays here forever.

Legit candidate. Lol. Never had more than 12 sacks before this season, then gets put on a line with 3 other double digit sack guys. Put Bosa on that line and he gets 25+ sacks. Bosa gets his with little help - he had 18.5 sacks and the 49er with second most was Ebukam with 5 sacks.

Riddick is good, but hes no game wrecker like Bosa is on a regular basis.

ETA: yes he wrecked the NFCCG for SF. You'll always have that footage of him beating a 3rd string TE.

Bosa seems to feast on inferior OTs but struggle against Elite guys like Lane Johnson though. We tend to put our OT's against the better pass rushers instead of Tight ends. Could be wrong, but I saw something on the twitters of all the guys Nick beat this year, uninspiring list.

Must like our schedule "You can only play who is in front of you" It is what it is. Nick is great for sure, but 25 sacks is comical b/c he'd be in a rotation at 55-60% vs whatever high snap count he played this year.

We had that briefly with dammit, what’s his name? The dude who coach the Raiders and I want to say Wisconsin. Started with an S. We actually held onto them one year. He didn’t even wanna be there. Then he went to the Redskins Callahan maybe Shanahan? ******* it what his name?

This reads like you're having a mental breakdown.

Apparently this year's Eagles are JUST LIKE last year's Rams. They went all in this year and will be paying for it later. This is according to Jerry Jones, who is quite happy keeping his team in mediocrity, apparently. Just good enough to stay relevant, but not good enough to win anything.
JJ is so funny. The Eagles put it all in on this year? SHIRLEY YOU CANT BE SERIOUS!!

The Eagles have double the 1st round picks Dallas has in the upcoming draft. In addition, the Eagles are farther under the cap that the Cowboys.

STOP CALLING ME SHIRLEY!

Glad there's two weeks so the haters get tired by this Sunday. Then we can focus on the teams still playing football.
Noone. That’s who is “hating” on the eagles. Not one single poster
Ya’ll are about half nuts
See when the Eagles lose, I say my piece that day and then I'm basically gone for months. Maybe make a post in the Eagles thread about the draft as it gets closer but that's it. I might post in game threads but not about the Eagles.

I'm just surprised this banter is still going from whiny niner and giant fans weeks after they got embarrassed. It doesn't look good on them for sure.

This breakdown from the NFL of the Chiefs/Eagles preview is good. Lots of info to process. The O/U at 50.5 seems low after watching this.

So much to love about the Eagles with our run game and defense

I still believe we score 30 but it's going to be interesting how KC handles our defense.

I believe the Eagles beat the Patriots in LII because Jim Schwartz said "hey I'm going to be aggressive, because we're going to get the ball back for you," Schwartz told Pederson two plays before Brandon Graham had the strip-sack on Tom Brady with under two minutes to play."

The Bills lost to the KC Chiefs in last years AFCCG because the Bills played the most prevent preventative preventionary preventing defense. 13 seconds to march for a FG? Cmon

The Eagles will go up on the Chiefs and stay aggressive. It will be a high scoring affair but the better defense will win, 38-27 Eagles over Chiefs. Eagles score TDs, Chiefs score FGs.

So what's the talk in Philly about Jalen Hurts' shoulder?

Is there any concern that it's more serious than it seems and may need surgery after the season?

Unless they're lying, he's 100% now.
Wouldn't go that far. He's made it a point, even as recent as today's press conference, to say he's not right but just has to deal with it and it's still healing. Reporters tried to get him to put a % on it and he wouldn't.

I think there's better than a 50/50 chance he gets a procedure in the off-season, like Alshon Jeffery did after the Super Bowl and we found he was playing through a torn rotator cuff since training camp. But since it never affected his ability to participate in practice, he never had to appear on the injury report.

I’m concerned. Already said this game is going to come down to which QB is the least injured. Jalen not being able to run is going to make this offense very one dimensional. The threat of him pulling and running makes EVERYTHING ELSE work great. On the ride and decide plays if the defense knows he isn’t running it’s game over for us

You understand that he hurt his shoulder running. And that since he’s been back, while he has run, he’s run far less. He gets hit running then the pass game goes out the window. My hope is that he’s healthy. I’m not convinced

As one that enjoys a solid emotional and psychological release that comes from trolling an opponent my favorite team lost to, there’s a certain level of respect and admiration I have for the persistent yet worthless trolling by @Cowboysfan8 @STEADYMOBBIN 22 @Wingnut

Worthless? You guys can’t even enjoy a SB run without thinking about my Cowboys. Now you’re showing your insecurity about the 49ers.

He ran against SF though, he'll run when he needs to, I dont doubt that at all. Also wouldnt surprise me if it needs surgery in the offseason.

I'm not really concerned about him being scared to run. It's the Super Bowl, he has the whole offseason to rest up that shoulder and other parts of his body. I think he runs rampant.

Ya'll are crazy. Constantly jump in here and poke, someone responds, and you say "See you can't stop thinking about us!" The projection from you guys is amazing.

There’s zero projection. I don’t come in here talking smack. I have football conversations and do my very best to preface any and all criticisms with other positives.

I don’t think I’ve ever brought up the Cowboys in here. Some people just can’t go a day without comparing one of your players or your team to Dallas.

You don’t want to talk about Dallas? Me neither, they stink!!!

Let’s see how long the thread can go without mentioning Dallas while you’re, HELLO!???…. IN THE SUPER BOWL!. Enjoy it.

Who does this? I can't think of anyone comparing any Birds players with Dallas players. And don't make me laugh on comparing the teams.
