I think the Blazers own the Warriors #1 pick in 2024. I'm rather enjoying their malaise thus far.
They do own it, top 4 protected.

Where did the Blazers own 2024 pick go? It does not look like they have their own pick in 2024.

I think they still own it. Just did a quick mock draft search and they show Portland with two first rounders (including the Warriors). They will probably trade Grant and Brogdon this year before the deadline, so unless Cronin completely mucks everything up, I'd say the future is bright for the Seattle Blazers.

Ahh ok, thanks. This article confused me. I think the * at the bottom is what I was confused with about the trade to Chicago.

I want to laugh, but really, it's not that funny. I'd be shocked if Portland had an NBA team in 10 years.

With Seattle and LV being basically confirmed as expansion destinations over the next few years, I'm not sure what significant market is really lurking to steal a team away.

T
GSW-SAC is the greatest double digit game in In-Season Tournament history.

The snark didn't age well.

The In-Season Tournament was too big for the Warriors
Couldn’t happen to a cooler group of guys.
Just watched the highlights and wish I had caught the game. I would have enjoyed seeing the Warriors stylin' and profilin' their way to blowing a 20+ point lead and not only not making the tournament but losing the game entirely.

Kings are just fun to watch. Monk and Fox are both very difficult to contain off the dribble but in different ways. Monk's game reminds me of Earl Monroe with all of the spin moves. Fox is just pure speed and quickness, more like Derrick Rose was.

It was a fun game. I only watched SAC play HOU but Fox was out both games. They're such a different team with him. Just as important to that team as Curry is to GS.

Monk is probably my favorite player on SAC. He has an uncanny ability making tough shots in the clutch. Joy to watch when he's hitting.

Yeah, that's fair. Just hoping Jody Allen sells to a local owner who will commit to keeping the team here.

When do the Bulls blow it up? That has to be one of the worst teams that thought they’d be good in a long while.

Hopefully some time between December 15 (when many newly signed players contracts are tradeable for salary matching reasons) and the trade deadline.

We’ll see though. Maybe they decide to only trade LaVine and retool around that.
I've always liked Lavine more than most. I wish there was a deal for him with Sacramento that made sense, but I don't see it.
How would that work when they already have Fox, monk and huerter? Doesn’t seem like a great fit. Unless they included at least one of the latter 2 in the deal.

It doesn’t work. I think he’d be an upgrade on Huerter in providing more shot creation and reliable spot up shooting off of Fox. But I wouldn’t trade 2 starters (Barnes and Huerter) for him though, let alone additional premium draft equity, which is what it would take since the Kings don’t really have any bad contracts to move.

I saw this stat on the Twitters: points per game for players in their 21st season.

Vince Carter: 7.4
Dirk Nowitzki: 7.3
Robert Parrish: 3.7
Kevin Garnett: 3.2
Moses Malone: 2.9
Kevin Willis: 2.4

Lebron James: 25.1
Anyone who has Lebron out of their top 2 is a person you don't really have to care about their opinion.

You just sent out the bat signal for them.

A little closer (LeBron is still easily #1 here), but PPG for players in age 39 season:

Karl Malone: 20.6
MJ: 20.0
Kareem: 17.5
Reggie Miller: 14.8
Stockton: 13.4
Parish: 12.6
Dirk: 12.0
Grant Hill: 10.2
Duncan: 8.6
Ginobili: 7.5
Hakeem: 7.1
Carter: 6.9

LeBron James: 25.1

LeBron had the #2 spot locked up after he led the Cavs over the Warriors in 2016. That series was one of the most impressive sports performances I've ever witnessed.

The Lakers championship and all-time scoring title closed the gap a bit with MJ, but I still hold MJ at #1 with 1 more MVP, 2 more rings, a DPOY and a slight lead in the career advanced stats. I don't think LeBron has enough left in the tank to catch MJ, but he is doing a heck of a job. Just spent too many seasons floundering in Cleveland plus the hopping from team to team hurt him a bit with the all-time rankings.

There’s a good chart further down that thread showing his numbers against all teams.

Payton and Paul being out is going to really hurt them.
Draymond off and Chris Paul on has been there second most played lineup and that is +18.3

Underrated storyline as Klay and Wiggins have kind of sucked is that Draymond looks especially old and fat.

Pacers/Heat is 73-64 at the half. Another absolute shootout in an Indy game. Pacers with the best offense and worst defense in the league. Really going all in on the defense doesn’t matter if you can outscore your opponents philosophy.

Bulls beat the Bucks w/o Lavine & Derozan. :oldunsure:

Something that should have happened long long ago. They won't get anything close to what they would have at one time for either

That has gotta be the worst loss of the year right? No Derozan, no Lavine. Bucks had nearly all their top 10, and managed to get 27 minutes out of Middleton. I don't think it means anything long term, but oof.

Amazing given how good Curry has been. I think that might be a 22 win team without him.

One team takes their foot off the pedal playing an inferior opponent. Meanwhile, the other team is inspired by playing without its two iso-heavy, high usage, poor defending teammates.

Oscar Tschiebwe got called up by the Pacers but didn't play. Really interested to see if he can find minutes and what he does with them.

They were much more fun to watch last night.

Hope DeRozan and Lavine are gone soon. Though been hoping that for the past year and a half. They should be able to move DeRozan. I think they're going to have issue moving Lavine at this point unless taking back a bad contract (of perhaps shorter duration remaining). They can be 5-15 or whatever with Coby averaging 20+ PPG

Once the Sixers offense sputters, they could be players to put Levine next to Maxey.

guys whose names will appear in a Buzzfeed headline in 12 years that says "FORMER JAZZ STAR LIVING HIS BEST LIFE" and the article will be about Luka Samanic selling real estate in Sun Valley

The Premier League really has it figured out. Get some of these teams demoted. Bottom 4 get demoted each year. And 4 teams get to have their G-League team move up and make more $s. The only problem is the Wiz will get their G-League team promoted, and the real team will get relegated.

Portland needs to stop messing around and winning games. Sharpe is really emerging in the absence of Simons. Scoot.....heh. He's young. We knew he wasn't a shooter but my goodness is he awful from deep. Patience.

Not that anyone is watching this crap other than me, but Scott Foster is making a mockery of the game in WAS/ORL. This guy truly sucks. Neither team has a clue what is a foul and isn't. He randomly blows his whistle to get attention every 30 seconds.
