Yeah that Pacers game kicked ***. So much more excitement than a regular old December game. And apparently just the second nationally televised game of Haliburton’s career?
Yeah, I don’t know what was most surprising - that it was his first ever triple double, or it was his first ever TNT game.

Seeing Minnesota and Orlando leading or nearly leading their respective conferences is pretty cool. That and the Texans fighting for playoff position are things I never thought would happen this year.

Definitely the triple double.

He played on a 30 win SAC team then got moved to an even lousier, non glamorous IND team

With their 15-4 start this season, the Timberwolves have quietly shed the ignominy of having the worst all-time record in major North American sports (hat tip: reddit user Limu_emu_69).

Minnesota (40.5%) passed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (40.4%) in win percentage.

Worst records by sport:

  • NFL: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (40.4%)
  • NBA: Minnesota Timberwolves (40.5%)
  • MLB: Miami Marlins (46.2%)
  • NHL: Arizona Coyotes (47.2%)
Next up for the Timberwolves? Passing the Clippers (41.9%). But that could take a while. Minnesota must win 49 more games than the Clippers do from this point to escape the NBA's worst all-time record.

Early game today has a 2pm Pacific start time. I'm sure that's nice for you East Coast shlubs, but it sucks out here. But I guess with two time slots per night, somebody is going to get screwed regardless.

Yeah and since it is two separate games/tickets at the same venue, they need more of a gap between games - hence the early start.

Loved seeing how locked in the Pacers bench was all game. They want this big time.

They have the lowest payroll in the league so that $500K means more I bet.

I hope going forward they have some sort of reward outside of money to keep us fans interested. The choice between an automatic playoff bid or a few draft lottery balls would be cool. I honestly don't care who wins and have thought of this just as regular season games with funky colored courts. Good for the Pacers though. They're fun to watch.

Lebron was born in 1984. No other Laker was born in the 80's. You got to go all the way to 1993 to find the next oldest on their team - Anthony Davis

Welp, that was... not fun :bag: FFS, we laid the biggest turd of the year. Awesome. At least the first quarter was fun. When LBJ pulled up from almost half court and swished it, I had a bad feeling. None of us could make a damn shot. 35% team avg not going to win you too many games.

Unbelievable shooting night from the Lakers. They were well over 60% at one point during the third. Finished with ~55%. Crazy. And we were on the complete opposite end of the spectrum.

All in all, though, I've enjoyed the tourney. These bracket games def had some playoff type feel to them.

Are there still Lebron haters? He’s almost 40. When Jordan was this old his eyes were yellow.

I hate Lebron. He is still 1b all time though.
He’s my 🐐 - I honestly don’t know how anybody can deny it at this point, other than nostalgia. What he’s doing at this age is beyond ridiculous.
I think not to have him in the top 2 is just to take a contrary view. I stand by what I said in Frosty's best players of all time polls that he did leading up the season:

I think Jordan is probably the best player in NBA history based on his higher peak, but I think Lebron has the best full resume based on the longer career of team and personal success. If Lebron can maintain something near his 22-23 level where he is playing at or near an All-NBA level for another couple years, I think his significantly extended resume will surpass the accomplishments of Jordan's slightly higher peak.

Last night LeBron was fabulous. The floor was horrendous. It almost looked like a fake background some weirdo would put behind them in a virtual meeting.

You honestly do know. You just don't agree, which is fine. But the arguments are very well known and understood. And correct.

Great battle between Curry and SGA here at the end of OKC-GS.

Terrible and lazy foul by Draymond on Holmgren 3 in the final seconds of regulation. Chet drains the 3 FT.

Heading to OT.

Bulls win their 4th straight w/o Lavine  In no shock, the Bulls ruled Lavine out for another month.

4-1 w/o Lavine
5-13 with him.

Pistons could use some help and a leader like Lavine

Rockets working over the Nuggets in Denver through 3.

Rockets and OKC gonna do some things in the near future. They've got a great mix of current/future stars and role players. Fun teams to watch.

Wolves down two starters. Win by 24 on the road anyway. All we do is win.

Naz Reid.
The T-Wolves are a menace. Naz is great, but don’t under estimate the contributions of NAW. I thought he was a giant bargain for them—and his contributions to the team far exceed what his numbers look like. His style of play and his personality seem to fit into that team really well. It’s also nice to see KAT play with some motivation and purpose. Let’s not forget that they played Denver tough in the playoffs last season with McDaniels and Naz out.

Rockets fell apart in the 4th but held on to get their 1st road win and the 1st win against the Nuggets in Denver.

Rockets gotta find who is going to be the guy down the stretch. Sloppy sloppy basketball.

Crazy it took this long to get a road victory. Nice W in Denver coming after a victory versus OKC.

Fred is normally a good floor general in crunch time but after him and Alpe, it's almost as if no one else has the confidence to make shots. Jalen Green should be that guy but he's way too inefficient. I don't think he'll ever be the player he thinks is.
