UM wins 30-3. Didn’t cover the spread at home. They are good at skilled positions on O and back 7 on D. Lines on both sides aren’t nearly as good as last year. Their D had 0 sacks and 4 TFLs Vs ECU.

James Madison plays Bucknell today. The O/U is 52. JMU is favored by 46.5
I remember when offshore books used to get beat on these type of games. Bettors were doing same game parleys on the chalk/over and dog/under. Last I checked they don't accept those bets anymore.

Targeting penalty needs to be reviewed for standard. It’s so inconsistently applied and it’s a joke to say they care about player safety with how it is and isn’t applied.

What is your issue? A lot of people just don't understand the rule definitions.

There are 2 types of targeting:
  1. Forcible contact with the crown of the helmet. (rule 9-1-3) Doesn't matter who is being hit or where. This rule is to protect the person doing the hitting.
  2. Forcible contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless player. This is to protect the person getting hit.
The two areas of confusion are what a "defenseless" player is and isn't and what "forcible contact" is. Defenseless player has a long list of definitions, but forcible contact is subjective.

My issue would be the inconsistency of when it’s called and not called.

Because the ND kick returner got wiped out with a helmet hit and no call, then an ND player got ejected for an inadvertent helmet hit on a tackle to a runner

I have no doubt that the writers at this press conference are thrilled that Coach Prime read all their stuff, and wants to discuss it with them right now.
I'm not quite sure all the bolts are tight and the track has been checked for cracks, but this is gonna be a hell of a ride for as long as it lasts.

Deion was one of the great college football players ever, a legendary nfl player who played both sides of the ball (one of the best players ever imo), a relatively awesome baseball player, did tv pretty well for a decade and now appears to be a very good head coach.

Has to be one of the most impressive sports figures ever.

Plus pretty much set the standard for td celebration dancing.

These refs in the Middle Tennessee vs Alabama game have a bright future in the NFL. Terrible targeting call on the punt return.

:howling at the moon:

This. But I also think the one they called on ND was targeting as well. A few years ago I went to ND at Texas and Torii Hunter Jr got textbook targeted, concussed, and nothing. He was not the same player after either but the officials and conferences couldn’t care less.

Seeing that, admittedly seeing most examples watching my own team, and then hearing them say they care about players is a joke.
