I was at the FSU-LSU game last night. Stadium was packed & ~70% FSU based. Rocket 🚀 launch was cool as we could see it from our seats.

Refs 🦓 were absolutely horrible in the 1st half.

This game was all about making the correct halftime adjustments. FSU defense came ready to play.

Wonder how far up the rankings we go. Especially considering this was the only Week 1 ranked matchup of the wkend.
I’m guessing FSU jumps Penn State and USC to No. 5.

That was awesome. FSU has been through the gutter these last 6 years and to see them lay waste to an awesome sec team like that felt great.

It is good when your team is good imo
Teams are going to have some serious problems with those two small forwards playing WR for FSU.

I don't really know what the plan would be, not like everyone can roll out two 6'3" CBs.
I laughed at one of the late touchdowns when LSU had one corner on Coleman and no safety over the top. Gee I wonder where the ball is going. Easy fade for 6.

I record it and start watching about an hour after the broadcast starts. I'm sure they are gonna get us with this eventually ... like golf where it has the awful "playing through" crap. Also fully expect the teams to have sponsors all over their jerseys at some point.

ETA ... it's probably the one thing I like about soccer. 45 mins. 15 min half. 45 mins. Yeah there's some time for fake injuries but the ads are on the jerseys and stadium. They haven't sold out the game by incessant commercials stopping the action. Football more than anyone has sold out their game.

See link above .. there is only 11 mins of action in a 3 hr football game. And there are 75 mins of commercials. The rest is clock running, no action.

I hate the new clock. They need to either start it earlier (8 minutes left? Entire 4th quarter?) or add a 2 minute warning. These kids just can't get the ball snapped as well as well oiled NFL teams so 4th quarter comeback attempts seem far less likely now.

I'd rather hear the analysts talking or even discussing other games/current news than have commercials playing.

(Does tomahawk chop in living room)

lol I had tickets and a hotel for this game and months ago my wife asked if today’s date was good for a baby shower and I said sure! There is no college football on Sunday and the nfl doesn’t start till next week. Whoops! Always write stuff down when you get old you all.

THIS IS WHAT THE POINTS TO SHIRT EMOJIE MEANS! FINALLY. I GET IT!!!!

Bookmakers are wary of the week one hype, making Colorado just a 3.5 favorite at home against hapless Nebraska. I’d love to go contrarian on this one and take the Huskers outright but gave up my account years ago.

Line as of Friday night was Colorado +9.5 vs Nebraska. All the shraps are on Huskers. I probably will be too, but it feels gross.

Nebraska is more than a TD favorite vs. a team that just went on the road to beat the CFB runner-up. Not sure if that says more about TCU or Nebraska.

Am I misreading this or did the line move 12 points over the weekend? Nebraska lost at Minnesota on Thursday night, so this entire movement comes from the win at TCU? This seems crazy to me but I'm out of the gambling game.

So happy for the guy, I love when the media gets it wrong
I heard he over turned the roster big time but bottom line...
He took a 1-10 team and beat a ranked opponent that was playing for the National Championship in January of this year.

I have a Sanders thread up in the Shark Pool, seems like he won't be at Colorado very long, one way or the other.

This is why Duke can't settle for Field Goals every time
Work hard to build a 6-0 lead and it's erased with a simple muffed punt
Clemson doesn't look that impressive

No, Nebraska WAS a big fave over Colorado before Saturday happened.

You are reading it correctly. (over) reaction to Colorado's performance.

I thought I knew football...
-Guy slides on 4th and 7 for Clemson, about a yard short and on the slide he draws a personal foul late hit on the slide and...
It's 1st down for Duke? Change of possession and 15 yards marched against Duke?
Doesn't seem right.

What a huge mistake
They said "late hit with targeting" but also said it happened after the play, so turnover on downs?

Me too. That is crazy.

I guess it makes a little sense. The play was over when he went down. If it was a roughing the passer situation, the penalty occurred while the ball was live. I'd be livid if it were my team but they probably got it right (I guess).

Maybe Clemson could have saved 30-35 seconds and burned 1 of their 3 timeouts remaining.

What's the difference, other than the muffed punt by Duke setting up a very short field, Clemson has done nothing on offense, I can't imagine they stop FSU this year.
Clemson looks like an 8-4/9-3 type and maybe worse. It's not good losing to Duke like this.

I think they have to address that one. Consider a QB running for his life on 4th down sprints for the sideline, steps out of bounds, and then gets absolutely de-cleated.

By definition of this rule, it’d still be turnover on downs and maybe a 15 yard penalty and/or targeting, but sets a dangerous precedent.

Agree with you. I've never seen it called that way before. The way they called it, a late hit OB on 4th down of a player short of the line to gain is a turnover on downs? That's not right.

Seems like a loophole that needs to be closed. How many times have we seen a late hit on the QB on 4th down that extends the drive? I guess the defenders should have just waited until the ball hit the ground to rough up the passer.

I really thought Clemson would be a tough road game for ND this year, but thus far yikes. Hope Klubnik personally figures it out for my devy squad, but looks like the same Clemson ND pummeled 35-14 last year.

It's hard to believe Clemson has close to 400 yards of offense, over 200 yds rush, seems like they have done nothing all night.
And they haven't. Not a single drive that started in their territory, not one of them did they march down the field and score, not a TD, not even a. FG.
