I still have no idea how Saban could watch ND’s offense the past 10+ years and LSU’s up close last year and say, “Give me some of that.”
 
MSUs Mel Tucker in trouble. After Larry Nasser this will not sit well with MSU, and his wife.


Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker is the subject of an ongoing university sexual harassment investigation stemming from a complaint submitted by Brenda Tracy, a prominent rape survivor and activist, in December, USA Today reports. Tracy alleges Tucker of numerous inappropriate actions, including making sexually suggestive comments to her and about masturbation while she “sat frozen for several minutes” during a phone call between the two on April 28, 2022.

“The idea that someone could know me and say they understand my trauma but then re-inflict that trauma on me is so disgusting to me, it’s hard for me to even wrap my mind around it,” Tracy told USA Today. “It’s like he sought me out just to betray me.

The report includes conflicting accounts from Tracy and Tucker, in which Mel Tucker admitted to the Title IX investigator that he masturbated on the phone call. Tucker claims the act was in the midst of "consensual phone sex" with Tracy, but Tracy says she was not interested in a romantic relationship in MSU's football coach.

In just his second year with the program, Michigan State football’s Head Coach Mel Tucker has a special connection with the fans.
"Tuck a Comin'" has become the battle cry of Spartan fans, students and alumni.
 
Tucker has a massive guaranteed contract - 10 years, $95 million - which undoubtedly has an out clause for the school for something like this. He’s still set for life financially I’m sure but going to lose everything going forward over this.

Yes, just heard on local radio that there is a "out" in the Tucker contract where he can be fired without payment for any sexual or any type of harassment that brings disgrace to MSU. After the Larry Nasser problems all contracts at MSU probably have that void written in.

Lansing paper already calling for Tucker to be let go. Going to tough to survive this one.

Just talked with my bud that has been doing renovations to the house next door to Tuckers and he said he hasn’t been seen at his house for months.

And of course the formal hearing is conveniently set a month from now when the football team has a bye week.
 
So MSU's investigation report on this incident was delivered in July? I understand needing to get things organized legally takes time, but why wasn't Tucker at least suspended for the start of the season? At MSU of all places.

In a bizarre twist, the complaint was filed by Brenda Tracy, a public speaker who has devoted her life to advocating for sexual assault survivors. Tracy claims that she was subject to several instances of sexual harassment by Mel Tucker in April 2022 including sending her gifts, asking if she would date him if he wasn't married, and masturbating during one of their phone calls without her consent.The sexual harassment complaint was filed in December 2022 according to the report from USA Today. In March of that same year, Tucker wrote a letter to the investigator and suggested that the relationship with Tracy was mutually consensual. Tucker admitted to a specific allegation of masturbating during a phone call with Tracy, but claimed that it was part of consensual phone sex."Ms. Tracy's distortion of our mutually consensual and intimate relationship into allegations of sexual exploitation has really affected me," Tucker wrote in the March 2022 letter to the investigator. "I am not proud of my judgment and I am having difficulty forgiving myself for getting into this situation, but I did not engage in misconduct by any definition."Tracy, who operates a nonprofit organization called 'Set The Expectation', is a survivor of a sexual assault that occurred back in the late 90's. As part of her mission, Tracy has visited over 100 college campuses in recent years to talk with players and coaches about the issue of sexual misconduct.We'll have more on this story as it develops.
