NBC this year has next to no sound from any of the bands. Until this week it was somewhat annoying. It saves us all from the USC band playing literally the only son they have…

THIS…is the only song we know…..it’s boring and it’s SLOW!

I'd prefer the bands over Jac Nepotism and Salt-Free Saltine Garrett. Zero charisma or entertainment value.

It reminds me a lot of listening to a high school game on the radio.

I don't follow CFB too closely but didn't USC and Notre Dame used to always play the Saturday after Thanksgiving?

I think they used to play later in the season, but pretty sure Thanksgiving weekend has always been USC/UCLA. Most of the country cold and dreary, and Crimson vs Honolulu Blue in the Southern California sun on the tv that weekend has been beautiful to behold.

At ND it’s always mid year like this because they refused to travel to ND when it was cold (good luck with that in the Big Ten).

When it’s at USC, it’s the final game of the year for each team.

End of half dumb mistakes again by ND. That said, bad call by the refs there. USC was not set when time ran out. Half should have been over but defenders need to be smarter than that.

It's not a bad call since freeman called timeout

You think he called timeout with 2 seconds left like they put on the clock? He took the runoff off the table, but no way he did it that early either

Love USC's urgency on this drive letting the play clock run under 10 seconds each snap down 18

Under 5 minutes to go at their own 29, but hey, they have all their timeouts

I wasn’t mad Lincoln Riley left OU, I’d have probably done the same. He just did it all wrong and it made him look like an ***.

It’s still early, but I’m glad he’s gone. His stubborn nature in recruiting and player development holds programs back. He has one of the best college football qbs I’ve ever seen, and his teams play no defense and his philosophy is crap.

Meanwhile Coach Venebles is going to five high school games on Fridays to introduce himself to recruits. Earlier in the week he ran as the scout team QB at practice.

Bahahaha. Ok seriously where has this Al Golden and pressure been all season? I’m happy for Freeman and the boys. Big win against an arch rival.

Suggestion for Caleb’s nail painting next week : “Irish owned”.

Colorado St vs Boise St is getting violent. BSU put a CSU guy on a stretcher on the 2nd half opening kick. It was a dirty hit, penalized for it. Little while later, an OL for CSU took exception to another dirty hit by BSU and just obliterated the defender. Sent his mouthpiece into orbit. My god. Rams HC got a personal foul penalty too.

And now they just tossed a Bronco player from the game. Jesus.

Crazy ending! SLBD is happy somewhere! First time they ever beat Boise.

This Tez Walker guy is pretty good.
So happy for him.
The NCAA was trying to destroy this young man's career.
Tez is talented enough that he's going to display it one way or another, but a year with a QB as talented as Maye can make a big difference.

For those that haven't been following, Tez applied for a multi-transfer exemption earlier this year (very early, like Feb). Pretty standard exemption (one program stopped playing football during covid, another one the coach left).

It was such a standard, routine exemption that media outlets all put him on the Pre-Season All-Conference team.

The bastards at the NCAA waited until freaking September, days before the first game, to deny his exemption.
They finally granted him the waiver right before last week's game. This was his first game really up to speed in a huge game for the Heels.

132 and 3 TDs, baby!

Maybe, just maybe, the Heels can keep it rolling, although UVA and GT both are known for beating us right when we get something brewing.

But if we can get to a date with FSU in the title game, maybe we can get redemption from Nov. 8 1997.

These kids playing weren't alive then, but us old fart UNC fans had our hearts ripped out that day. I was a young optimistic man then. Freshman year. Morning of Nov. 8 rolls around. UNC and FSU both in the Top 5.
We waited outside the stadium all day in the cold rain. So, excited. We're finally freaking here!

Nope. FSU 20-3, and it was way more of a manhandling than the score would indicate.
I still believe Mack Brown decided to leave that day. That day made it seem clear that UNC maybe could be good, but never great.

Redemption for that horrible day has never come.
Hopefully the Heels can get by pesky UVA next week to stay alive for a shot at redemption in Charlotte.
