That was probably targeting against Ewers, but who knows what the definition of the rule is anymore.
Letter of the law? Probably, but am glad they didn't call it. Football has a lot of dumb rules and targeting has always been top 5.

Nice win Michigan. You have no chance next round though.
I’m not exactly pro-Michigan so it’d be cool if you were right, but I’m not really seeing Texas or Washington as insurmountable obstacles.
Only Michigan fans like Michigan right now, so nonsense taeks like that will dominate throughout the next week. Just laugh at the stupidity. How many championships does Harbaugh have? The same number as the coaches in this game.

Ewers played like garbage the first half and it’s still tied. That he started to heat up at the end there isn’t a good sign for Washington.

Washington is going to need to establish a run game to take this. I’m surprised we haven’t heard anything from Mitchell and Worthy and suspect we will in the 2nd half after adjustments.

It has been so enjoyable watching these games today and not really having any BS calls that get everybody up in arms and talking about the refs.

PAY ATTENTION NFL!!!!!!!!!

Don't agree - Penix is cooking. If Washington's gonna win it's gonna be a shootout and I'd bet on him if this comes down to the final 3 mins.

Oh he’ll still be the reason if so, but I think Texas won’t allow them to stay as one dimensional. Mostly saying they have to run better to keep the defense honest.

I don't think they'll need to

Texas is 96th in the country v the pass and 4th against the run. What we're seeing to this point is because of that. What surprises me is Texas isn't returning the favor because Washington's pass defense is even worse.

We’re wondering how he didn’t get the Heisman

Every time somebody says something like that, I'm reminded of college days where a group of young men would award the loser with women for the night the Heisman because of the stiff arm on the statue.

"Hey, how'd it go with so-and-so?" would say Young Man A

Young Man B would respond, "Went good. You know, nothing to write home about but good . . ."

To which Young Man A would say, "Oh really, cause I saw you two and it looked like you got the Heisman, baby!"

LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Or not.

But that's what the Heisman Trophy makes me think of, other than a nice dinner and young men dressed all fancy pants.

What channel is the game on?

ESPN.

Did anyone know that America's Got Talent has a fantasy league? That's what the television said, so it's true.

And this game looks like it's precariously going Washington's way.

Sorry to pop in and leave questionable comments. I thought the game was still going.

Sean McDonough sounds really drunk.

And those are two Texas guys that never even looked for the ball.

Hey, guys. Turn around.

That injury rule with the time is dumb - you shouldn’t get penalized for an injury in that situation.

Yep. Team with the injured player should have the option to decline the clock stoppage and wind on the ball being reset. Still within the spirit of the rule in that case, which is stopping people from feigning an injury specifically to stop the clock.

The more I think about this I don’t have any clue how that’s the rule. Stop it for the injury and start the clock back up - what am I missing other than a dumb rule?

Injury under 2 mins they force them to use a time out, which is why clock stays stopped. But yes I agree it's dumb. The whole point is to stop the TRAILING team from stopping the clock with an injury, not the leading team.
