2023 San Francisco 49ers - VICTORY MONDAY!! SF 13.5 pt favorites over Kyler Murray and the Cardinals (9 Viewers)

Really enjoying watching Jimmy G. I almost enjoy watching him on the Raiders as much as I enjoy watching Brock and the Niners.

Ruh roh, 49ers D line is on a path. Bad news for opposing QBs.

14 point favorites vs Arizona.

I feel like the Cards got an emotional win yesterday and will come back down to earth next week. I don't see Adam Gase 2.0 out coaching Shanahan.

I think this might have been a trap game prior to the Cardinals win, but I can’t see Shanahan or the team looking past them now.

Lombardi:

Per @sumersports' model, here are the 49ers' current chances and NFL ranks...

Make playoffs: 97.2% (#1)
Division title: 91.9% (#1)
First-round bye: 38.3% (#2)
Conference title: 34.3% (#2)
Super Bowl title: 18.7% (#2)

Only team ahead of the 49ers in those rankings is KC

I’m a little worried about it too. Debating using it in my survivor pool.

Could the Bears get a fourth round pick for Fields at this point? Never quite understood everyone who liked him taking an early victory lap on the Lance pick.

I'm sure they could get more. He is getting bad coaching and a good coach and/or team that liked him coming out of college has got to be seeing and saying the same thing.

Back in the late 80s/early 90s as a kid I was a huge Niners fan (because of Montana, Rice and the Jersey colors lol). I believe 86 was my first year getting into football and I got to witness the Bears massacre of the Patriots. That Niners superbowl run (especially the destruction of the Bills) was some of my greatest moments as a child.

49ers have the best odds to win SB on most betting sites now, as well as being #1 in most power rankings.

Not that it means anything week 3, but its nice to see the 49ers getting the respect they deserve.

He has Matt Asiata feel about him.
The 230 pound plodder that ran a 4.77 40 and didn't even get drafted? Great comp.
You don't see it?
I don't post here as much as most, but I do SEE more trolling than I ever remember. What's the point of your post?
Well. I'm old. I've been an active member to fantasy football message boards for decades. I will say that not all are the same. Some are super strict. Some are super aggressive. Some are quite volatile. I found this one quite refreshing. Open opinions. Open ideas. If you think it has too many trolls you need to get out more. Ha ha. My point was just being silly. Dude just hit 200 yards at an 11 yard a carry clip displaying blazing speed. Who is the slowest plodding rb you can think of? Mine was Asiata. It was a joke. Obviously a bad joke to you. My bad. You called me a troll? Hilarious. My intention was being silly in the narrative conversation of a player thread. I apologize to you and also the Asiata family. 😄
What value does such a stupid comment add to the forum? Get your jollies elsewhere. No one laughed, and TBH, all it does is spark up a side discussion like the one we're having. Again, what's the point?
Your post reminded me of my 1986 Topps Jerry Rice Rookie cards. I'd take back soda cans to buy a pack of cards to land that bad boy.

Per Akash:

Pressures, DTs, True-Pass Sets (no screens):

1. Jonathan Allen, 13
2. Jalen Carter, 12
3. Javon Kinlaw, 10 (!!)
3. Javon Hargrave, 10
4. Arik Armstead, 9

The three-headed monster of Hargrave, Kinlaw and Armstead is gonna wreak so much havoc against most iOLs.

Per ESPN, Nick Bosa is #1 in the NFL among all EDGE defenders in double-team rate (37%) aka he's getting double-teamed the most.

Big reason why his sack/pressures are slightly down from last season, but it's allowed the others (Hargrave/Armstead/Kinlaw/Jackson) to clean up.

That's my prediction. But I'd rather see Cheetah, Achane, Waddle, Mostert, Tua and coach McDaniel in the superbowl. Miami needs to fix its defense first. MIA @ BUF this Sunday could determine SF's opponent in Las Vegas.

49ers planned participation report today per Kyle Shanahan:

Out - WR Deebo Samuel (ribs), LB Dre Greenlaw (ankle), WR Jauan Jennings (shin)

Limited - WR Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder), CB Ambry Thomas (knee)

Deebo Samuel also has a knee issue on top of the rib issue, Shanahan said

Save Deebo for Dallas.

They have 3 WRs banged up
I don't understand the logic of save this guy for that game, Dallas just lost by 2 TDs to the same team you feel you can rest starters against

-I get your POV, I just don't think its discussed quite the same as we post in here behind closed doors. If Deebo can play then he will likely play
My bigger question is if he's OUT, I don't want an 80% Deebo vs Dallas from a FF perspective

I realize you are talking as a SF fan, i said the same thing about Waddle as you are about Deebo when we played Denver last week so I understand

Deebo can sit IF Aiyuk plays. Purdy has the best chemistry with Aiyuk, and CMC can do what Deebo does, and even Ronnie Bell can do sweeps and runs like a madman with the ball in his hands.

It's not that I feel we can rest starters pre se, but we need Deebo to be close to 100% as possible vs Dallas, as that game could have huge playoff/seeding implications later in the year. Thats not to say I think Arizona is gonna roll over by any means, but I think we get the win at home, even without Deebo. Arizona gave up almost 6 YPC vs Dallas. CMC gonna have another day.

Prediction: if Deebo is out and Aiyuk plays, Kittle will find paydirt for the first time this season.

So I'm in line at a taco stand waiting for tacos I just ordered, wearing a Niner shirt and hat, guy walks up and says "San Fran lookin good so far,"...I say yeah, man, and he proceeds to tell me he's a Cowboys fan, and then starts rattling off his fantasy team. Sigh. Its like being in a real life Rate My Team thread. :wall:

He mentions he has Purdy as his QB2, and he has Kittle. I tell him I think Kittle will score his first TD this week, and he says "Oh he got a TD week before last. Remember, he kicked the ball into the stands after it". "Oh, ok", I say as I get my tacos and bounce.

Kittle hasn't scored yet this season.

Dallas fans. 😅

Christian McCaffrey is the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Month for September.

His second time winning it as a Niner.

He leads the league in rushing, has forced the most missed tackles of any running back, and has more 10+ yard carries than anybody in the NFL.

No defense can stop this guy.

Kinda surprised Deebo is even in question, it seemed like he just got the wind knocked out of him on Thursday, I mean his big TD catch came after that play happened.

Deebos knee issue popped up about 24 hours after the game with soreness. Weird they haven't said if it's day to day or what.

Deebo and Jennings will be questionable Sunday.

"Aiyuk was out there at practice today, but Deebo and Jauan weren't able to practice, and they'll be questionable for the game," Shanahan said on the "Tolbert and Copes" show. "I know we don't do that yet, but we'll see how they go tomorrow. But hopefully, they can get out tomorrow and give them a chance for Sunday."

The 49ers have faced an NFL-low 43 rushing attempts against them through 3 games. Arizona will try to run a lot.

Eli Mitchell hurt his knee in Thursdays practice.
TDP and Mason up! Also Ronnie Bell SZN!

Final injury report for Week 4 game Sunday vs. Cardinals:

Doubtful
WR Jauan Jennings (shin)

Questionable
WR Deebo Samuel (ribs, knee)
RB Elijah Mitchell (knee)
LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (ankle)
LB Dre Greenlaw (ankle)

WR Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) is fine.

The 49ers plan to elevate veteran WR Chris Conley or Willie Snead, It could even be both of them if Deebo Samuel and Jauan Jennings are both out, Kyle Shanahan said.

I have no idea why they are rushing him back for a week 4 game against the Cardinals.
Even if he's a decoy he demands attention
Biderman made a point on his podcast this week that the Shanahan Niners have a history of pushing guys to play through injuries and they often end up getting hurt more as a result. They shouldn’t need Deebo at 75% out there acting as a decoy to beat Arizona.

I don't know about that, but I'll trust the coaching staff on the decision.

Deebo was sprinting Friday, so by Sunday its possible he could be at or close to 100%.

Wrapped up October on day 1.

Brock looked fantastic. There was at least one questionable deep pass to Aiyuk in double coverage but Aiyuk is also a beast. Just seemed like they could do whatever they wanted all afternoon.
I saw at least 3 throws to Aiyuk where Brock threw it a few steps before Aiyuk even turned his head around. That's trust, chemistry, and timing right there. Just beautiful.
