2024-25 NBA Thread: for the second time, somebody in Dallas hits low percentage shot that leads to a generation of conspiracy theories (20 Viewers)

The fact Cleveland is even in this game is an amazing and if they win, they stole one from Indy!
They were 9.5 point favorites.
How is that possible? Is Indy missing significant players? Cavs are missing arguably their most important player in Mobley, their all-star point guard and their sixth man.
It dropped to 5 after Mobley and Hunter were ruled out, but we were still favored.
That surprises me. When I heard all three were out tonight, I didn’t think we had a chance.

Maybe have to question the toughness of Cleveland at this point. If these guys that didn't play tonight come back to play the next game, not a good look. It's the playoffs, suck it up. You can't run Ty Jerome out there all night looking like a clueless wonder. But it doesn't matter now, Cavs are toast. No way they are winning 4 of 6.

Most overrated player in the NBA.
who?

NBA players and executives voted (anonymously) Tyrese Haliburton as the league's most overrated player - this was reported by The Athletic. He was voted most overrated by a wide margin.

I love this. Screw the world, Tyrese. You are proving a bunch of larooshes wrong.
Damn. Surprised they actually asked people to vote on the most overrated player? Seems a little savage/pointless.

It was 'The Athletic' magazine/website that conducted the poll, I believe

Pretty sure it was just players

And it means nothing to Joe Mazzulla
Mazzulla thinks the coach of the month award means nothing as well.

He's one of the most focused people I've ever heard of.

He’s a nihilist. It must be exhausting.

If the Cavs did win 4 out of 6 would that change your mind? No one in NBA history has won 4 out 6 after being down 0 - 2

Damn, another easy trip to the finals for Boston. (Once they figure out how not to miss 70 3s in a game)
Tatum just has to start driving again instead of playing pretend Kobe. He started driving halfway thru the playoffs last year and was drawing fouls on almost every drive. It was crazy.

@jamalcollier

What a stat from ESPN Research: Since 1997-98, teams are 3-1,640 when trailing by 7+ in the final minute of the 4th quarter/OT.

The Pacers, this postseason, have 2 of those wins.
Was TMac involved with the other instance?

Had this on the brain... and #### Houston
