2024-25 NBA Thread: for the second time, somebody in Dallas hits low percentage shot that leads to a generation of conspiracy theories (22 Viewers)

Was Porter high during the first half? Not even talking about his horrible shooting but staring at the ball twice without going and getting it. Horrible.
He has a relatively terrible feel for the game. Combined with his obviously stiff back and legs and his new shoulder injury, he's been pretty bad these playoffs. He's hitting his threes at a typical rate but he's not doing anything otherwise and isn't getting as many looks from three.

Aaron Gordon really worked on his shooting and FT shooting last off season. I was skeptical he could keep it up all year long but he has.

It’s like the Thunder were trying to extend the game with the lead. They were terrible the last few minutes on offense.

Not sure the first one from Caruso was on purpose. I didn’t even see the foul on the replay on that one but they didn’t complain too much so it must have been obvious. The super quick one on Gordon right after the inbounds on the other side of the court was really really dumb.

Beyond Jokic always getting a little better, Gordon's shooting is the biggest reason to believe in the Nuggets actually being competitive in these playoffs. Westbrook was good chaos as well, rather than bad chaos.

Wow, they really did steal that but as many of you have stated, that foul strategy didn't make any sense.

I really thought Denver was gunna steal it after Jokic hit that 3 to cut it to 1 late, then it looked like OKC was gunna hold on, especially after SGA got free for the dunk, and then YUCK.

when he jumped between jamal and Westbrook?

No, that was much earlier. The foul with like 13 seconds left right as Jokic caught the ball on the inbounds. I don’t think Caruso intended to foul there.

The Nuggets starters other than MPJ were all +10 or more. The only starter for OKC that was a plus was Hartenstein at +2.

Those tactics need to be retired immediately.
It works great with 5 seconds left, not nearly as good with 18 seconds left or whatever.
Exactly, outside 5 seconds, the last thing you want if you have the lead is the other team scoring with the clock stopped.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone up 3 foul that early before. Really baffling, hopefully they’ll ask Daigneault about it.

The Gordon foul was especially dumb because Jokic wasn’t even in the game. OKC lost because of how bad their offense was to close the 4th but that ending was inexplicable.

When I saw Westbrook get the ball and go up the floor I thought for sure he was going to shoot or drive with it and was thinking, they're screwed.

Gordon down the stretch, wow. And that offensive board he got was great, but how the hell was no foul called on his shot attempt? Two guys up on him. In Denver that would've been called.
