On a side note, what if by some miracle they win it all WITHOUT Tatum? Talk about a stain on his long term legacy. He didn't get Finals MVP when they won and then they went ahead and won without him?

I forgot he didn't win Finals MVP last year when they won the title. Awful. Terrible.
Could his legacy get more stained after that?

If they go win back to back titles, there will be some hard questions alright.

Jaylen was definitely the better player in the finals, but Tatum had a great close-out game. Really good performance for his legacy.

I dot think you actually did watch. Caruso is a menace and has been incredible. If he played for Brad Stevens you would be all over him.

Just noticed they have Cooper. I'd love to know what their advertising budget is like compared to Nike. They're notoriously good quality shoes but equally bad at marketing them. When has NB been "cool" or trendy? Ever? Nike, otoh, seems to find ways to be relevant (and I think bringing back some key cogs will help them rebound as you can see a difference there already). Man they've done well with some pretty crappy products.

NB has blown the lock off their marketing budget which is great but these commercials they put out there are still 1980/90s New Balance. It's actually funnier when you see mega stars like Ohtani in some studio doing a high school production. Wonder what they come up with for Flagg.

The only privately held / family-owned and operated (Major) footwear company in the world. Cutting fat checks to the right names is great but they could use a page out of Apple's playbook.
