He's fun to watch. I don't know if this translates to the pros, but if the trend is "QBs with a TON of experience under their belts" having better success than those with minimal experience (looking at you Anthony Richardson) I could see him doing well.

But you said it - he's played very weak teams thus far. The knock on him historically is when he steps up in competition. He was humbled at times in the Pac12, so let's see what happens when the defenses he plays are better than ACC Kleenex

Correct. Most draft experts have Ward as the 2nd best QB behind Sanders, possibly top 5 overall. Lots of bad NFL teams still need QBs: Dolphins, Titans, Jets, Saints, Raiders, Browns, Giants.

Just now, the UM coaches with a stupid decision to leave Ward in the game up by 22, under 3 minutes in the game. Ward gets blindsided and fumbles, while trying to get his 6th TD. That's on Mario, luckily Ward is ok.

Auburn down 10, they have 2 timeouts left. Vandy runs on 3rd down and doesn’t make a first down. So it’s fourth down - with 2:01 left. And Auburn calls one of their timeouts. So dumb.

By doing that, he made the 2 minute timeout and the change of downs timeout the same thing. Soooooo dumb.

It didn't matter. It just makes me happy that he's dumb.

In the 2025 draft, it's Ward early in the 1st, then a bunch of good college players like Restrepo, RB Damien Martinez, and WR Sam Brown projected to go 4th or later. Ward is maximizing their talent.

In the 2026 draft, DL Rueben Bain is top 5, the OT is a possible 1st rounder. Plus a few other good players. Mario has done great in the portal and in recruiting. You need balance to succeed.

Miami signed him to a massive contract. He's still on the right side of 30. I get the concussion concerns but he's been very good when he plays.
