Correct me if I'm wrong didn't Tanner have more TD's passes in the game. A better passer rating than Kenny obviously with less passes. There's a big drop off in talent from Jalen to Kenny. But an upgrade in talent with Tanner in comparison to Kenny.

The first question in my mind is, Can Saquon actually break the record? He needs 101 rushing yards to set the all timer. The Giants are giving up the second most rushing yards per game in the entire league at 145YPG. I think Saquon is averaging about 140 per game. So, obviously he can get the record.

They were debating this on the radio this morning, but this might be the biggest individual record in football. I can’t really think of one that has more cache. I think you play him for a half and you see where it goes. I’m tired of hearing all these people say it’s not about getting records, it’s about a Super Bowl. Why do those things have to be mutually exclusive? This is a generational season that Saquon is having . Capping off the last game of the year by setting the all-time NFL record, and doing it against the team that let you walk is just too much of an amazing storyline to ignore. I'm at the point that what ever decision is made about the record I'm cool with it. There is risk and reward. Scenarios we have are:

1. Get the record win the SB
2. Get the record don't win the SB.
2. Don't get the record win the SB.
4. Don't get the record Don't win the SB.

IMO the reward out ways the risk since the record is reachable and we have the team that can get it done.

I think it depends on HUrts. If Jalen is cleared I would rather have Hurts in for a few drives...NOT a fan of having more then one week off for any player. If HUrts is good I play my starters and see what Saquon does in the first few series'....let them play up to the half if he's killing it.

In theory it might not even last the week. Henry in a must win against a Browns team with nothing to play for, and no reason to risk guys like Garrett. It wouldn't blow my mind if he had 222 yards. He'd have to break a few long ones, but it wouldn't surprise me. I do wonder if Henry did that, if the Eagles would give Barkley enough work to top whatever Henry did.

Again, its a long shot, but not impossible.

During training camp there were people clamoring to cut Kenny and promote Tanner to 2nd string.

Your taking things way to serious especially if your referencing being moderated for something you want to say but you know well enough not to. You can simply disagree. Time will tell.

Fun fact Barkley is one of only two backs to reach 2K on lesser carries than Erick Dickerson. The other is Barry Sanders who almost broke the record in one of his last years.

I mean definitely not. Hurts being back there is one of the top 2-3 reasons Saquon is pushing to break the record. No one on defense respects the possibility of someone not Jalen running. His potential for keeping and running is why Saquon has the most yards before contact in the nfl.

Dude is an absolute cancer. He talks a big fake but fails to show up in anything big. He’s not the type of player Howie and Jeff want around this locker room. Huge liability in the run game. Admitted prior to this season he skipped the Eagles pre draft interview because he didn’t want them drafting him nor play in PA.

Since it's the crappy Giants and he'd definitely break it (against his former team) if he played... I'd leave it up to Saquon and ESPECIALLY the O-line. If those guys feel like they need a week off to heal / rest up then let them have it. Otherwise, I'd have them suit up and go through a week of prep as if they were starting. Of course, letting the backups know they're going to be playing alot. I give them a few series to get a little work in (a la preseason games) and see if Saquon can make some progress on the record. If it's not happening, pull the starters. If they don't get there (or real close) by halftime, pull the starters. If someone doesn't feel 100%, pull the starters. Poor field conditions, pull the starters. Etc...
