2025 Philadelphia Eagles - We’ve never said a bad thing about Tank Bigsby. (59 Viewers)

Great had D. Smith on the bench as he's been unplayable with how poor they have been passing
Of course they do something today and next week if I play him again, they will suck passing again

So tired of this BS, fantasy football just is not as much fun as it once was

It was good seeing Carson again. My first opinion on seeing him wasn't dislike....it was kind of fondness for the guy. Jalen is the man; the Prince who Was Promised. But Carson could have been....hell, he probably SHOULD have been..
I wanted him to do well and still lose lol. I can’t hate the guy.

Carson had the talent and to be here for the next 10-15 yrs. Unfortunately didn’t go the way anyone wanted outside the SB. Some of it was on him and some of it was totally out of his control. It seems everyone’s learned from it and Wentz has never shown any bad blood or disrespect for anyone here. Anyone who thinks we win our first SB without him either doesn’t know football or hustle delusional at this point. People have selective memory at times and forget just how bad Foles was prior to the playoffs after he replaced Wentz in LA after he got Hurt. There was players and staff concerned they’d be one and done in the playoffs amongst fans as well.

Brian Flores' defense in first 6 games: allowed the 2nd fewest pass yards per game (157.6), 4th fewest pass TDs per game (1.0), and the 12th lowest passer rating (88.9).

“Running QB” Jalen Hurts today:

19/23, 326 passing yards, 3 TD, perfect 158.3 passer rating, 5 20+ yd completions (37, 79, 28, 21, 26)

-10 rushing yards, 1 Tush Push, 0 Tush Push TDs.
Helluva RB we’ve got.
I wonder what Quammy and Bladerunner think about that game?

Kind of the same. Just the Canyon sized gaps of both of these guys coachability, mental toughness and leadership are very very wide.

Thanks for 2017 though Carson! I got a Nick Foles tat to always remember that season.

The WIP host that famously said, right after Carson tore his acl, that he’d get a Nick Foles tattoo on his back if Foles led the eagles to a Super Bowl win.

Oh haha, I did not know that.

My artist kind of blew up so my $200 tat in 2018 she now charges $350/hr $500 min

This is fine

But the idea for #1 on the other leg is percolating...

That's easily my least favorite part with a player on the bench like that.

I think we can all agree that benching a player when they go off sucks, amirite?

It's the only way they'll learn to play better though for your fantasy team.

I wouldn’t know, I have them on ignore.

Pretty darn good for a RB!

I think it’s more likely this doesn’t go well (suffers another injury, not able to meaningfully contribute (or worse, looks washed)), but if it’s going to happen now is the time. He’ll have almost 3 weeks to get ready for GB, with the bye coming up.

The one thing I don’t doubt is the positive impact his presence will have in the locker room.

3 months at home everyday with the wife is all it took for BG to say, "F this, I'm going back to work."
He’s been staying busy on the PHLY podcast. And, hopefully, working out regularly.

I could see a big impact getting him in on early downs. Jalyx has been good, but he gets washed too easy on run downs.

It's been so long since we didn't have a good to great offensive line that I think we're (fans, coaches, players) having a hard time coming to terms with that maybe being a reality. We are continuing to drop in the PFF Oline rankings, trending toward falling out of the Top 10. I think the Dickerson, Jurgens, and Lane health issues are going to be all year, nagging things, Mailata seems to just be having a down/regression year, and Steen is barely average.

The last time we didn't have a top 10 line Linsanity was running wild, 50 Shades of Grey was a best seller, and Gangnam Style was inescapable (2012, 19th.)

Last week may have been a wakeup call that they have to call plays with the Oline they have, not the one they think they SHOULD have. Run game is still a struggle, there's still decent to great pass protection, and the back-up center can't snap consistently in shotgun, so they seemed to finally stop being stubborn and deal with the reality of the skill sets and level of play that are happening on the field, and not what they have on paper. More passes, less inside runs, snapping from under center, etc.

Not really talked about, because he's been so good at working miracles for so long, but from the last 3 drafts and UDFA signings of offensive lineman all we have to show for it is an average Tyler Steen. Playing, or needing to play, guys like Pryor and Toth is not a great look for Stoutland. Sure, he gets some credit for Becton and didn't have control over him leaving, but at the same time the guy did have a first-round pedigree. The last "diamond in the rough" he worked his magic on was Mailata, who is now in his 8th season at this point.

I don't think we should be coming for the guy with pitchforks or anything, but he's got a chunk of responsibility for some of the things people are frustrated about. And it's a lot of pressure if your GM the last 3 years has used the "deprioritize Oline in the draft and assume our Stoutland cheat code will turn lead into gold" strategy.

Next year I would bet everything they grab at least 2 premier OL players in the top 3 rounds. They need a Tackle and guard with talent.

I was gonna post something similar- they have to draft more OL. Going back to 2023, Howie has been waiting until late rounds to grab depth/development.

But, you can’t fault him too much- he’s grabbed some blue-chip Defensive players. JC, then Q and Coop, then Campbell. That’s a great track record.

And, given Stout’s track record and reputation, Howie’s maybe been a little too confident he could turn chicken scat into chicken salad. This year, it’s definitely time to restock the Oline with some generational guys. RT for sure, and a decent swing G.

ETA: activate Kendall this weekend, get him some snaps, and continue to run more plays under Center. And more PA

More passing stats on our “running back”, from Reuben Frank:

Hurts’ 108.9 passer rating is highest in Eagles history through seven games. The previous high was Carson Wentz’s 108.1 in 2018.

Hurts is only the third quarterback ever with 70 percent completion percentage, 11 or more passing TDs and one or fewer interceptions through seven games. The others are Alex Smith in 2017 and Drew Brees in 2018.

The Vikings went into the game Sunday with the No. 2 pass defense in the NFL, allowing just 157.6 yards per game. Hurts became only the third player in history with a perfect 158.3 rating against a team ranked first or second in pass defense going into the game. Former Eagle Ken O’Brien did it with the Jets against the top-ranked Seahawks in Week 9 of the 1986 season and Kerry Collins of the Giants did it in Week 16 of the 2002 season against the 2nd-ranked Colts defense.

AJ Brown back to tweeting cryptic BS:

"Using me but not using me"

Someone needs to take this dude's phone away from him. The entire city is excited about the recent win (a win in which AJ Brown was HEAVILY used) and super excited about BG coming back and this dude is just pulling pins, dropping grenades into the room and closing the door behind himself.

What does he think is going to come from this type of post? Media is going to do their job of ramping this up to 11, I'm sure it will be on the national shows today and the rest of the team is going to have to field questions about AJ again like three weeks ago until he comes out with another prepared statement about how he didn't mean anything by it. Seriously, AJ, you are the man. The city supports you 100%. Just stop with this stuff. TO tried this 20 years ago and I got news for you; it didn't work out well for TO and it didn't work out well for the Eagles. No one wins with this divisive BS. Delete your insta account and enjoy life. FFS.

No Cam Jurgens at practice today. Wonder if, with a full week to prepare, they move Dickerson to C this week.
Just bring Jason back why not

Drew Kendall must really not be ready for prime-time if he can't beat out Toth.
Which leads me to

Was it coaching that put us under center against MN a lot

or

Was it bc Brett Toth can't hike a shotgun snap?
100% the bolded. I didn't notice when the exact moment that Cam went out was, but I didn't start to notice Jalen under center consistently until AFTER the announcers said that Cam was out.

Patullo, in his presser, actually said it was already in the gameplan that he put Jalen under center more Sunday. Not because Jurgens went out.
Glad to hear this. Kevin was on his game this last one. The 2nd half adjustments along w listening to his players and their input. Made me happy
Yeah, I was really happy with the gameplan they put together against MIN. That’s how the Offense should run.

The bar has really been lowered I see. They only scored 21 points. Had 45 rushing yards and were 3-10 on 3rd down. If the Vikings had even a semi-capable QB under center, the Eagles lose that game. The Vikes were pathetic in the redzone and Wentz forgot what team he was playing for in the 1st half. The Eagles inability to run the ball is going to spell long-term doom for this team.

Don’t worry, you’ll feel more positive after the bye week. Landon played better. They’ll figure out how to replace Jurgens, so he can get healthy, too. Running under center and uncorking the passing game will get the run game on track, along with the Oline getting healthy.

It’s October and they’re 5-2.

They’ve had a grip of injuries and they’ve played some quality teams. One of the hardest schedules in football, and they’re 5-2.

With a mini-bye, they changed some of the major flaws in the Offensive scheme and Jalen had a perfect passing game against the best passing D in the NFL.

They’re playoff bound. Are they playing as well as we expected on paper in the pre-season? Hell naw. But their record is better than I thought it would be at this point in the season. Wait until they get healthier and really gel into November and December.

Fly, Eagles, Fly! 🦅

A lot of coaching. There’s been several rumors of Hurts being uncomfortable or not liking Certain stuff in the offense and Moore had to twist Hurts arm to get him under Center. He does this and throwing over the middle successfully enough I don’t know why they don’t do it more.

It’s becoming an on going trend the last few yrs. Eagles start slow, Hurts isn’t under Center or making certain throws. I’m starting to wonder if this is one of the reasons frustrating brown. And there’s several others on the offense not happy either.

I don’t know if it’s more Eagles trying to catering to things Hurts like and realizing later it doesn’t or what though. I don’t think it’s just one issue causing problems but a mixture of coaching, Hurts etc.
