Since the bye week and getting cooper into the mix they’ve given up 16, 3, 17, 23, 6, 18, 20, 19 & 16 points. That’s pretty elite level stuff. The thing is, I don’t even feel like they are getting a ton of sacks, interceptions or forced fumbles. They are just getting stops. If the turnovers start to hit a little more regularly, they’re gonna be scary.

Yeah dude! The coverage has been INCREDIBLE this year! Need a little more pass pressure and those turnovers start coming, like the INT Carter forced to CJ yesterday.

DeJean got taken to school yesterday, but hoping he learns and grows from it. He's been phenomenal so far.

Yeah definitely was his "welcome to the NFL" moment. Thielen is such a savvy route runner and technician. It was a good thing for him.

I'm still trying to figure out what Hurts was doing on that last drive when he slid for a 9 yard loss instead of just throwing it away.

Also, Jake Elliot, you're on notice, this might be your last season here if you can't make a 50 yard FG.

Hurts made a bunch of strange decisions today. There were several times he could have thrown it away and many times he looked very hesitant to even throw the ball. He wasnt seeing the field well. Some people were saying our wrs were covered up well by caolinas scheme/secondary but i dont know for sure

Him leaving the press conference after being asked “What can be done to improve the passing game?” by Tim McManus isn’t gonna go over well this week either.

The processing was SO poor today.

Jalen Hurts - per @NextGenStats:

4 sacks on 9 pressures - 3.29 average time to pressure was slowest in league this week so far

3.47 Average Time to Throw - slowest of season for him
5.1 yards/attempt - lowest of season
5.6 air yards/attempt - lowest of season

Tim mentioned pockets of the locker room seemed very frustrated.

We won but wouldn’t have been shocked by a loss today. Offense looked bad most of the day.

Not entirely sure I agree. How many drives did they even get in that second half? 3? 4 maybe?
Carolina came with an aggressive plan and had a few lucky bounces. Eagles offense had an unusually low number of drives to work with. Defense was generally good....how many times did Young escape heavy pressure to convert on 3rd or 4th down? Sometimes you just have to give the other team some credit. Panthers came out with upset on their mind.

This was a trap game, we all knew it. Eagles survived/escaped. Take the W and move on

The way they played yesterday said in the game thread if they lost they deserved it with the way they played. They seem to always play down to their opponent then show up for the good teams

I'm not going to read much into the Panther game. We seemed to be either tight or conservative on offense. The Panthers played as a team that had nothing to lose and we survived.

I personally would take those audibles out and let Hurts audible to something else. I think defenses are tricking Hurts into audibles. This is part of the evolution and growth.

Agreed on the 2nd and shorts. I'm fine with taking shots in those situations, but do it off play action, don't tip your hand and show pass from jump.

Every time I see a QB draw I groan. Seems to fail most the time and be a wasted down plus increase an injury chance for Hurts. He can get those yards on passing plays that break down without intentionally adding to it. I'm kinda over RPO's and would rather a more traditional play action offense, but maybe I'm just getting old.

The bolded 100%. Maybe the Lions will go for it on 4th down 5 times in a game if we eventually play them. For as much "Eagles got lucky" takes there are, it seems no one is remembering how lucky the Panthers got to get this close. 4th down conversion from his own end zone, bodies flying all around and then the one where Jalen Carter deflects it, only into Thielen's breadbasket.

Every game has a personality. I'll take the W. Let the rest argue over style...

It’s the sum of many parts IMO. The Panthers just aren’t as bad as their record shows. KC had to beat them with a FG as time expired. When you combine the poor QB play and missed tackles it was bound to be close.

At the end of the day it’s a win and hopefully one with no major injuries.

Game is not going to be "easy" as some people think.

Somethings gotta give: Eagles have never beat Russell Wilson, ever. Steelers haven't won in Philly in the Super Bowl era.

I feel the bolder was said a lot last year and look what our end result was. Not saying it’ll happen but there’s definitely things for cause of concern including our poor starts that hasn’t been fixed all year.

Nick needs to take a fine a say something. This reminds me when we had Vick and he was being hit late especially going out of bounds. Reid and Lurie sent the league tape of missed calls. Following week I believe he got a roughing the passer and late hit out of bounds early in the game.

Yep it’s not good. I heard something over the summer about this. AJ I think was mad at Hurts for changing plays that the coaches called in last year plus some other stuff. However from when I heard it sounded like things had been hashed out. I guess not and Smith said something about guys not being on the same page.

Also remember that whole AJ/Hurts thing on the sideline I think last year or year before. I mentioned it being worth something to keep in mind and maybe there are real issues

They opened up with the typical, "hey, you got a win and Saquon just broke the Eagles all time rushing record, yada yada." And BG was just like, "something's ****ed up between AJ and Jalen and they need to fix it NOW." He absolutely had an agenda-he saw whatever bs was happening behind the scenes last year and wasn't gonna let it fester like it did then.

Its obvious that he didn't have the go ahead from the brass because he immediately started walking it back afterward and was on the morning show today talking about how he is going to apologize to both Jalen and AJ before practice tomorrow. I am glad that its out there, but I'm kind of worried that this is going to blow up into something more than it needs to.

If we handle Pittsburgh on Sunday and Aj has a 9/125/1TD stat line, then maybe we all can breathe a little easier. But if we lose a close one and AJ has like, 4 catches on 4 targets for 55 yards and no TD's, we're in for some shirtless-sit ups-in-the-driveway-action and the season could implode from there very, very quickly.

It sucks that we are here, but honestly - they only real solution I see is to dial up a bunch of volume and deep stuff early, get him going, let Saquon run crazy in the 2nd half en route to stomping the Steelers.

Now, do I think that is what will happen? I'm not so sure. I think they will go to AJ a lot but this is a very volatile situation.

Ok Case: We win, AJ has an OK/decent game
Bad case, We go away from the run, try to force it to AJ, Steelers know this, we lose, but AJ has a good game.
Chernobyl: Pittsburgh destroys us, the passing game has a bunch of turnovers, AJ has a bad game, cameras on AJ and Hurts yelling/pushing/getting separated on the sideline

Brandon Graham on his weekly WIP appearance just dropped this bombshell about Hurts and AJ Brown:

“They were friends, but things have changed…I don’t know the whole story.”

Gotta love it. Leave it to a veteran leader out for the season to stir the pot.

Maybe he did it intentionally. Unintentional/intentional leak so they hash things out. I’ve seen this before in club soccer and most of the time it works. Or maybe BG us just fed up with the BS from certain players

I don’t see the upside to bringing it up to be hashed out. There’s a lot of guys on an NFL team and I’m sure many don’t get along. This is starting to move towards a “Jalen isn’t throwing to an open AJ cause they don’t like each other” and that’s not it. Hurts is just gonna miss reads or be late on them. It’s what he’s done before and after AJ got here. AJ being a competitor is gonna want the ball. It’s as simple as that.

100% he knew what he was doing. I listened to it live. He wasn't asked about Jalen or AJ. They opened up with the typical, "hey, you got a win and Saquon just broke the Eagles all time rushing record, yada yada." And BG was just like, "something's ****ed up between AJ and Jalen and they need to fix it NOW." He absolutely had an agenda-he saw whatever bs was happening behind the scenes last year and wasn't gonna let it fester like it did then.

If this is true, we have to believe Graham is an idiot. Good player, but a moron.
