My suspicion is that they had QB set for this slot and took their best remaining. Probably not what I'd have done, but it looks like someone "sticking to the plan". I also think Deion tried to manipulate things and told several teams not to draft his son (or do it early)!

Seatle traded ahead of us to take Jalen Milroe two picks in front of us.
The guy we took absolutely sucks IMHO. Wasn't even rated in the top 200 and should have been a street free agent. Guy isn't 6' tall and is 24 years old. Complete garbage pick. I'm livid about wasting a 3rd round pick. WTF?
We were never take Shedeur after what Deon said about the Browns and Flacco and from everything that is out there about the luggage he brings. Shedeur has real football talent, but the draft picks were about building a team, not collecting talent according to a spokeswoman from the Browns FO. Everything I've uncovered about Shedeur off the field is what has been reported, no exaggerations. In this point in time of Internet shaming the tidal wave of karmic schadenfreude that would hit any team taking him... Especially the Browns after Watson debacle? Are ye kidd'n me? No F'ng way.

Having been a Browns fan for damn near a 1/2 century, I for one am not surprised at all by the Gabriel pick.

Weirdest draft I have ever experienced

I woke up with a heavy heart today. Saw Hunter go 2, smiled, then saw the Jags logo next to it, and my heart sank.

Yes, we got a haul. A real haul. And yes, we still got a defensive stud... But my heart saw Travis in a Brown jersey.

The only thing that can console me is landing Shadeur with our first pick (wow!) and then grabbing either Higgins, Noel or Burden... Now THAT would be an A+ draft for this guy

I don't think Pickett is going anywhere, any time soon - neither of the Rookies are NFL-ready, IMHO, and Watson likely doesn't see an NFL Field with live bullets flying until 2026...so who's going to be Flacco's backup? Right now, it's Pickett; that's who.
