tcb - job well done with some key players missing
another great game from Goff at home, Josh Reynolds stepped up, Monty and the OL were solid
great to see the turnovers though on the whole the defense didn't have their best day
Jamo is a hot mess
def happy to start the year 4-1

Jamo did exactly what he was told. Goff had to move Jamo around a couple times, but it was by design to set up a play late in the 3rd quarter. On a 3rd and 6th play inside the 10, Goff screaming at Jamo to move ended up being the signal to direct snap to Monty, who took the ball 7 yards for a first down. That is the level of mind games that Ben Johnson utilizes.
I would actually like to see him return kickoffs. That speed would keep special teams coordinators up at night.Maybe Jameson can play some DB and get a few extra reps in.
Mosely tore his ACL, think he was coming back from the same injury last year
Detroit secondary is sustaining some major injuries right now
players who have missed games due to injury or gone on IR:
*starters
- Amon Ra-St Brown*
- David Montgomery*
- Jahmyr Gibbs
- Jason Cabinda
- Shane Zylstra
- James Mitchell
- Taylor Decker*
- Hal Vaitai*
- Matt Nelson
- Josh Paschal
- James Houston IV (not a starter but designated pass rusher)
- Julian Okwara
- Emmanuel Mosley (season last 2 snaps but was expected to be a starter)
- Brian Branch*
- Khalil Dorsey
- CJ Gardnder-Johnson*
Normal stuff in the NFL. You have to construct the roster so you can absorb injuries, because they'll always happen.
Brad Holmes did that. They'll be fine, they are built to withstand adversity.
Our secondary is very suspect right now.

Trades. Any moves we’d like to see ? Feels like a push some chips in year maybe, but specially given the injured on back end of the D. Surtain ?

Besides getting Starling Thomas back from the Cardinals?
Trade Deadline is Halloween (Tue 10/31) - day after the Week 8 MNF at home v Raiders
Agreed that replacing Emmanuel Moseley is the most logical target
From what I’ve seen he mostly lines up against the right side of the offensive line but they do move him to the left from time to time. They have also moved him inside over the guard on obvious passing downs which has been effective. So fun to watch this guy and happy we got ‘em!Does Hutch typically play over the RT/LT? Moves around? Tampa's tackles have played well this year. I wonder if they can neutralize him somewhat.

NBD losing your RB4/STer but that’s six season ending injuries before Week 6.

Knight, Garder-Johnson, Mosely, Jefferson, Nelson, and who?
And we lost a key ST player to the gambling thing, right?

Not bad for a throw in. Still overlooked by many.
To hear people talking around here they think this game is a gimme just like Seattle. Not so sure about that. I think the Lions win a close one.
Another note, like the Tampa Creamsicles better that what they wear now.
For those handful of people who bet on football games here are the latest point spreads from our friends at draft kings.
Detroit -3 o/u 42.5
Next week, Balt -2.5 o/u 45
Actually I should have made it clearer that it's Balt favored. For those handful of people who bet on football games here are the latest point spreads from our friends at draft kings.
Detroit -3 o/u 42.5

Favored at M&T Bank Stadium?
What is even happening….

Love the Creamsicle, it's the best.
Is that how local radio is calling it this week? ****ing A man, Bucs are a tough out.

Broadcasters (at least the parts I care to catch) seem to be in the "cautious optimism" category. But there are definitely a share of fans that are about half a step below the old SNL skits involving the Bear Superfans.
Not going to be easy. As has been laid out elsewhere, 3 of next 4 on the road, all those road games against teams capable of making the playoffs. 2-2 isn't what you hope for but certainly could be in the cards, though I'm hoping for 3-1. If Detroit manages to go 4-0 in that stretch, the world may run out of Kool-aid because Lions fans drank it all.
