So frustrating. Is the timing definite? I was looking at their upcoming schedule and hoping he could string out the appeals until the two-week stretch where they play Jax-Indy. Will suck not to have him for the game at LambeauThe Detroit Lions will have to take the field each of the next two weeks without wide receiver Jameson Williams.
News surfaced Monday that Williams was facing a two-game suspension for violating the league's performing-enhancing substance policy, meaning he will miss this week's game against Tennessee and next week's divisional showdown at Lambeau Field against Green Bay.

This is total hearsay, but my cousin said his trainer at the gym was in Lions camp this year, and his guess was exactly that: a supplement that contained a banned substance. Makes me feel a little better about Jamo not being a cheater, but still, as an NFL player you need to know exactly what you're putting in your bodySo frustrating. Is the timing definite? Goff said players get hurt every week. Just treat this like a 2 week injury absence.
The frustrating thing is players are educated on this, and given full lists of what is and what is not permitted.
Not sure what is was but rumor is was a banned energy substance. If it were PEDs it would be 5-6 games.
I would assume they'll start using LaPorta more, unless he's really hobbledWhatever
More snaps for Patrick & Raymond
Isaiah Williams might even see a target
Tom Kennedy & Allen Robinson II still in the building
come on let’s go, ain’t no time mope, got things to do & places to see
like NOLA in February
I agree the fake punt was a bit iffy.Dan Campbell does not need to be doing fake punts from his 34 yard line This team can win without high risk low reward gambles.
When playoff time comes and when the Lions play the best teams taking high risk gambles will cost them a game at some point.
As far as the Jamo thing goes, is there a 3 strike policy in the NFL? Because this is his 2nd suspension and I'm pretty sure nobody else on the 53 man roster even has one.

But I can live with it. I love the way this team plays. I don’t want them changing.

Look at the trades as of late. Only trades that are getting a high return is to trade up for a "franchise" QB type.Cleveland will trade Smith and Garrett for 1st, two 2nd, a 5th and a Hooker.
Does Brad pull the trigger?
Crosby is still being pursued, but is not seen as a perfect fit due to his size.
Exactly. Which means the other team being less set up for a big return.Every special teams coach has to prepare for this against the Lions now

Why do all these fictional trades include a backup QB with almost zero NFL experience? Is there some link to teams actually showing interest in HH?
"Supposedly" = fictional until proven otherwise. Think of all the stuff floated out there every year and how few of those ever actually happen. Why do all these fictional trades include a backup QB with almost zero NFL experience? Is there some link to teams actually showing interest in HH?
I don't play the fictional games.. That is supposedly on the table.

There are tons of hypothetical crap that some writer in New York think is a good idea which is worthless. Then there are people inside the organizations which are actual negotiations and are being considered. Much different."Supposedly" = fictional until proven otherwise. I just don't think trading Hooker mid season makes much sense for either side, that's why I questioned that part in particular.
When you have a SB contender with a Hutch-shaped hole on the roster, you have to be willing to go all-in. If Hooker is what it takes to get a deal done, Lions should absolutely pull the triggerI just don't think trading Hooker mid season makes much sense for either side, that's why I questioned that part in particular.
This is part of the reasons the Lions are hedging, they are not ready to give up Hooker. But it sounds like Brad is making serious inquiries and is planning on making some move for a starting Edge who can provide real pressures.
I never said not to trade him, I just don't know what is the grand appeal of a 26 year old who has never started a game and had a total of 19 career yards.
According to the chatter, it sounds like Jamo was taking Adderal for a mental health issue prescribed by a doctor. But this creates a quagmire for the NFL as they have been promoting protecting players health and mental health, but yet this is on the list of banned substances. The NFL is upset because a leak of a possible suspension came out before they actually ruled there would be one. As of now the NFL has not announced anything and it seems there are discussions between the players association and the NFL on this subject.
According to PFF the last two weeks, Brian Branch is the highest rated player in the NFL. He is likr tops in coverage, 3rd in pass rusing and 4th in run stoppage.
Please correct me if I am wrong but I believe I read the other day on the nflpa website that you can have a prescription for it and be allowed to take it. Now I guess if it wasn’t for ADHD, the nfl can go after him?According to the chatter, it sounds like Jamo was taking Adderal for a mental health issue prescribed by a doctor. Even more impressively, Goff finally made Travdogg's top 15 QBs list.
