3 worst coaches in the NFL ! (1 Viewer)

Islanders rule

Footballguy
In order:

1. Herm Edwards

2. Romeo Crennel

3. Penis Jauron

They are all nice guys, but suck as coaches. Decissions thay make are a joke.

Herm is by far the worst. He gave yesterday's game to the Chargers and has done similar many times. Maybe he bets on the games. He sucks!!! Jauron is just ugly and stupid, and Crennel should join Dennis Green and open a Churches fried chicken together.

I like Tomlin and the way he carries himself. Pete Carroll is also at the top of my list/

Carl Peterson resigned today but I am absolutely amazed that Herm Edwards still has a job. He is a terrible coach.

I would take both those guys over Rod Marinelli

Both Romeo and Herm have been fair to middlin at some point as head coach.

Manusha>>> Marinelli

100 per cent agreed !! I have watched him give away 3-4 games in the last 2 years on his own by making stupid decissions on time outs, clock management etc. I have no coaching background and could do a much better job than him in game decissions. He is a clown as a head coach.

No **** Jauron? :hophead:
  After what that stupid flickk called yesterday I had dreams of flying to Buffalo to meet the team plane just so I could punch nutface in the jaw. What a stupid moron!!!!!!!! God, that loss just makes me angry everytime I think about it!!!!
As a Patriots fan, that game made me sick. The play call was bad enough if you had a competent QB. With Losman as your QB, that is a fireable offense.

Herm Edwards is great motivator, and not much else as a coach. If you give him good players, he'll win. Bad players, and this happens.

So basically he's Pete Carroll?Herm should just get it over with and take a college job. As for the original topic, my vote goes to Rod Marinelli. I saw a funny clip a while back where a reporter asked him if he had discussed the possibility of going 0-16 with his team. The flustered look on his face was priceless.

No **** Jauron? :sadbanana:

You betchya! There is bad play calling and there is bad execution; in this case you got both. A classic case of out thinking yourself. Jauron's defense of the play call is that with six seconds until the two minute warning an incomplete doesn't really hurt the Bills so why not try and catch the Jets with too many men in the box. Well guess what happens with a "genius" play call like that?!? SNAFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh god am I pissed

Herm Edwards reminds me of the empty suit that exists in every corporation. You know - the guy who talks a good game but doesn't know jack ##### about anything. The guy who's got Management completely snowed, but the people who truly understand the business know he's a complete idiot. It's a recipe for the complete collapse of a corporation...

The most dangerous people in the world are the "not so intelligent" ones that think they know everything. The guys who have their feet firmly planted in mid-air.

No **** Jauron? :goodposting:

Jauron is a moron. In the Browns game, only needing a field goal to win with less than two minutes to go, Edwards completes a pass around the Browns fourty. Instead of passing to try and get in postion for a makable field goal, he runs 3 straight times, and Lindell misses a 48 yard field goal. The week after, in a close low scoring game against the 49ers, the Bills have a first and goal on the 3. With the Biggest O-line in the league, and a very good RB in Lynch, he throws a fade pattern in the corner to a 5'10" WR.Then of course this week, he has one of the dumbest QB's in the league attempt a pass when all the Bills really needed to do was run the clock and punt. I could defend the play call a bit, if the Bills had a QB with an IQ above a 9 year old, but no way you put the game in the hands of Losman. Those are just a few recent examples of how bad Jauron reall is.

I gotta agree with everything you wrote. I remember watching the Browns game with my brothers and all of us left that night feeling like the dog that just got kicked for no good reason. It was one of about four times this year we swore off our blind allegiance to the Bills. The first fish game, the first Jets game, the browns game and now this weeks cluster eff. I can't take it anymore. I live in Baltimore and have for the past 25 or so years. I cheer for the Ravens and I find myself getting invested in their fortunes more and more as the years go on. Maybe it is time to cut ties with my original hometown team. The heartache and frustration is just too hard to take sometimes.I say that now knowing full well I'll be there to be kicked in the teeth again and again but someway somehow this spit has to stop.Dear Ralph,Appease the football fan gods and FIRE **** JAURON!!! That will be a start.

I cannot remember who it was, but I remember someone in the Shark Pool last year arguing with me several times about **** Jauron. Apparently, this other poster thought Jauron was a damn good coach and I was a fool for thinking otherwise.

I hate Wade Phillips ! I dont care about his winning record ... Im tired of his punked face when a player commits a penalty

This guy has 0.0 authority and the way the boys give yards by stupid repetitive penalties proves that

Probably not bottom 3 but he sucks anyway  :lmao:

I still can't believe the Chiefs traded a pick to acquire the Herm-inator. About the only way I could understand that is if you wanted a scapegoat for the next few years while you rebuild.

Oh yeah, that pick turned into Leon Washington.

I don't know why you would list Tomlin as a top 3 head coach. I'm pretty sure he isn't a coordinator, and all their key players are there from the time Cowher was there.

Nooooooooooo... He's NOT Pete Carrol...Pete Carrol at one point was considered an NFL Defensive Whiz...Herm, not so much.

Good example but, Herm patented that play calling.... And he did it with the Championship game on the line against the wind by just having the QB take a knee.....

Winning records and a solid shot at the playoffs mean much?Lions fan chiming in with another vote for the Rod. “It's the untalented issues that I'm really interested in. There's talent in this league, everybody's got talent. The issue is how hard are we willing to play.”“Football always has been a show-me game. Sometimes there's too much talk. It's time to show it.”“I'm not interested in Pro Bowl players, I'm interested in world champions.”“You’re in this dark tunnel and you’ve got no way out, you’re waiting for light, and you see that light, what do you do? What do you do? You start digging and getting out. … I’ve always believed you stay in the tunnel and you keep digging when you expect no light. You have the same faith when you expect no light. You have the same belief in what you’re doing when you expect no light. … It’s dark and I’m going to dig through. My shovel is sharp and my pick is sharp and my will is outstanding.”

This isn't college...for the most part, HC's don't really have ultimate control over the players on the team anyway so I don't understand your point. And what difference does it make that he isn't a coordinator when we're talking about head coaches. I don't understand that at all. Even the HC's that call plays are not Offensive Coordinators.

I know, it's amazing they're there DESPITE Childress. That team should be close to undefeated, not a "solid shot" at the playoffs. I mean, Herm Edwards brought a couple teams to the playoffs too.

Phillips is the perfect milquetoast yes-man that is Jerry Jones' wet dream though. Jones won't tire of him for a while.

Herm seems better suited to be a DC, but people like him and he somehow keeps his job. Romeo..Romeo..where art dou Romeo. Crennel has been overmatched from day 1, the Browns should have never gave him an extentions because he would have never been hired as a HC by anyone. How Jauron has hung on is beyond me, another good assistant type.

Sean Payton deserves an honorable mention here for his senseless challenges, decisions on 4th and short, and his lopsided play-calling all season. 47 passing plays @ Tampa in the rain? Come on, Sean.

At least the Saints are fun to watch.

When that guy left my company recently it was the best. God I hate that guy.

I agree with all the coaches mentioned so far but I'm surprised no mention of Marvin Lewis...

How does he keep his job? Does he know some secrets about the insides of the organization so they don't fire him? It's incredible that he is still the head coach of the Bengals. He might do better with a change of scenery.

But my top 3 are:

Jauron

Lewis

Crennel

I seriously do not understand how the coach of the 0-14 team is not considered the worst by a wide margin.
Probably because most realize that the Lions have had many, many bad drafts, so his team isn't exactly the most talented in the league. And he isn't known for making bone-headed decisions at the end of games that cost his team games, unlike guys like Jauron, Edwards, etc., who are known for that.

They are 8-2 since McKinnie got back from his suspension - I guess playing without a top left tackle doesn't give a guy a break. Plus, when you bring in a bunch of free agents it takes a while to gel with the team. Sorry, I have always been a fan of Childress and he has built this team for his plan of success and think that it is finally working out.

 That's what was interesting about that call, it probably pissed off Patriots fans worse than Buffalo fans.

**** Jauron has done a good job with that team, can't win them all when you have: a. Trent Edwardsb. JP Lost-ManI'm quite sure that in week 5, when Buffalo was a barnstorming team, you were't saying the same things about them that you are now..Herm would make a great college coach..Crennel is/was in over his head, ala other Bellichick disciples like Saban ( coaching in the NFL) and Charlie Weis ( Notre Dame)..Crennel will be the most sought after assistant coach after his firing, perhaps getting himself a job with NYG once Spags accepts a head coaching job in the off-season.

I really can't see Tomlin as top-3 after the decisions he made in the playoff game against Jax last year. It was only his first year and he might be top-3 someday, but not today.

Got this joke email today:
ANTHRAX SCARE AT FORD FIELDDetroit Lions football practice was delayed nearly two hours this afternoon after a player reported finding an unknown white powdery substance on the practice field. Head coach Rod Marinelli immediately suspended practice while police and federal agents were called to investigate. After a complete analysis, Michigan State Police forensic experts determined that the white substance, unknown to the players, was the goal line. Practice was resumed after the forensic experts decided the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again.

You dont watch many Bills games, do you?

I'm not sure I'm in a position to say that **** Jauron is definitely the worst coach in the NFL, but if any other team has a worse coach, I hope God shows mercy on their fans.

**** Jauron has done a good job with that team, can't win them all when you have: a. Trent Edwardsb. JP Lost-Man
It sounds as if you're not a big fan of JP Losman. Fair enough. If you were the coach of the Buffalo Bills and you were unfortunate enough to be stuck with Losman as your starting QB, would you call for him to throw a roll-out pass on 2nd and 5 with 2:05 left to go while nursing a three point lead? See?
